Love the transparency. Gorgeous, like a big sticker. And everything else. Only thing I'd suggest, based purely on personal preference, is playing around with the actual versus/stipulation text. Something a bit more basic (Verdana etc.) might do the job just as well. Verdana can always be jazzed up in a couple of subtle ways. Then again, I always tend to use the boring fonts in my banners lol. That font Charlie uses a lot might work well, in black.  |

I agree. I shall look into the font thing. Another thing I am wondering about is whether to add a stroke to the pic bases so it fits in with the heavy outlines of the HW text behind it. Or maybe using a different overlay on them because it looks as if I haven't cut them properly with those white bits. I will have to pass these to you in PNG format as it looks better than GIF which takes awayh from the quality, that's for sure. (Hence I posted the same pic twice) I'd love to hear your opinion on all that too if you could.
For the record, I LOVE the two pics I found. The whole smug clancy thing with Cairns all "yeah bollocks" and swearing lol. Love it...

I really like the layout a lot, and I do like the high contrast B&W photos. I agree that a cleaner font would probably look a lot nicer, Impact or something maybe.
