Having grown increasingly weary of his on-air role within GZW2K1, 'BDR' has chosen not to renew his contract which expired this morning.
BDR fell out of favour with GZW2K1 officials when he banned the company from being able to mention him by his full name, or make mention of his media production company, M**** M*****, which GroundZero had freely promoted for many years.
The Scotsman reportedly told friends he no longer had the energy or motivation to play his heel character, which peaked in Summer 2009 whilst acting as a talent agent for Bane. BDR's last role on GroundZero television was as a lumberjack at Heatwave 8.
Choosing instead now to focus all his efforts on M**** M*****, BDR's final contribution to GZW2K1 shall be his "The Reid Report" column which has already been written in advance for the 10th anniversary edition of HotWire Magazine.
BDR debuted as a HotWire Magazine columnist in Summer 2005, aged just 18. He landed the job after bombarding various HotWire Magazine writers with samples of his work, before they finally took him on as an intern. Since then his media savy talents have seen him undertake a series of roles within the Globalverse, including web editor, assistant director of new media and assistant head of talent relations.
The controversial personality has reportedly been looking for an "out" from wrestling ever since his engagement to Cara Caprice was called off late last year.
