The lights dim right down and a greyish spotlight appears dead in the centre of the curtain.

Frédéric François Chopin’s ‘Nocturne 20 in C Sharp Minor’ begins to play over the P.A and Rupert Martin, dressed in a black suit, white shirt and black tie walks out right into the spotlight . He removes a cigarette from his jacket pocket, puts it in his mouth and lights it. Rupert leans on his umbrella for a few moments savouring the trills of the piano before making his way down the ramp, the spotlight following him all the way. Martin enters the ring via the middle rope after climbing the steps and stubs his cigarette out on a turnbuckle as silver flakes drop from the sky onto the mat. Languidly, Rupert removes his watch and throws it into the crowd. He takes off his jacket and slides it out of the ring, unbuttons his top collar button and finally loosens his satin silk tie as the final piano notes die out and disperse. As the music stops, the spotlight too disappears and the lights in the arena brighten back up.


Wrestling style: Initially a technical wrestler and submissionist, Rupert has as of lade incorporated a darker, more malevolent selection of moves to his repertoire. He is much more vicious and uncompromising.
