The trend of RAW being re-written several times on the day of the show continued yesterday in South Carolina.
WWE called Mae Young to the arena yesterday morning and she was backstage last night but not used on TV, because of re-writes. Brodus Clay was a victim of re-writes again as his debut was pushed back. As of yesterday afternoon, Clay was still scheduled to squash John Morrison but that was changed at the last minute.
Regarding Triple H and Kevin Nash, Triple H was at RAW as he always is but Nash reportedly was not there.
Mae did however appear in a backstage video with Zack Ryder and Eve Torres on WWE's website. The video shows Ryder getting Eve to sign his US Title petition when Mae walks up and fist pumps with him.

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart took exception to how pro wrestling was depicted in a campaign in Canada this week. An agency campaigning for increased funding for the CBC is depicting a "worst case scenario" of wrestlers taking over the government-funded TV network if it were privatized. "They are always portrayed imbeciles, dimwits with no brains at all, and that's a disappointment," Hart told QMI Agency in response to the campaign, "because a lot of us out there like Jesse Ventura, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, and myself who are quite well-read, intelligent people. We are some of the hardest working actors and athletes in the world. Nobody has a schedule like wrestlers, and with CBC, someone like Vince McMahon might be the answer to their prayers, they might start making some money."

WWE announcer Jim Ross says he's not "retired" from WWE despite being off the air. "I'm not thinking about it. I enjoy my association with WWE and, being a team player, enjoy the various assignments that are come my way. Change isn't always bad and not being on the road 51 weeks a year doesn't hurt my feelings," Ross said in his latest blog at jrsbarbq.com ... On John Morrison's WWE departure, Ross said, "I can see John taking a few months, perhaps even a year, off, heal, recharge his batteries and then return to WWE. Of course the obvious question from many fans is when will Morrison turn up on another company's wrestling, TV show? Personally, I don't see that happening." ... Ross also talks about Daniel Bryan's push, Undertaker at WM28, HBK not wrestling again, Brodus Clay's delay, and more topics.

Former WWE Diva Maryse continues to talk about leaving WWE to pursue other opportunities. In an interview with Diva-Dirt.com, she equated it to a character leaving a TV show for other roles. "To me, I was a character that I played for six years and now I'm ready to play a different character... I love playing different characters, and I would love to be playing different characters in movies or TV shows, instead of continuing my career with the WWE." ... Regarding the state of the Divas division, Maryse said, "I just wish the WWE would give them more. You need to be able to build a character, you need to have time, you need to have a microphone and be able to talk so people can relate to you. Without that, it was really, really hard to build yourself- build your character, so I just wish they would give them more time and they would be more involved with the women's division."

WWE announcer Jerry Lawler talked in-depth about the must-watch "Memphis Heat" DVD in a recent NPR interview. Lawler also compared today's WWE Creative process to taking turns booking the Memphis territory with Jerry Jarrett. "For Monday Night Raw, WWE has a creative staff of about 16 or so writers who sit down and collaborate all week long what’s going to happen, who’s going to appear on the show and what they’re going to say. In other words, their job is to write the show, just like writers who write a movie or write a soap opera or sit-com. So they have a big staff of writers who write the entire show. They collaborate and have meetings and discuss things all week long, until we finally get to that final product on Monday night, and then the show goes on the air live. Jerry Jarrett and I used to take turns booking our Saturday morning Memphis TV show six months at a time," Lawler said.
"It took me an hour-and-a-half to book an hour-and-a-half show, and somehow it always turn out good. I just could think of stuff spontaneously and put into action, and it always turned out pretty darn good.”

- WWE Tag Team champion Evan Bourne's Wellness Policy suspension ends today, so he's cleared to return to TV as of Monday. ~~ - WWE United States champion Doph Ziggler was interviewed by The Miami Herald today. Ziggler discussed his recent Raw bout with CM Punk, commenting, "A lot of people enjoyed the match, and my family and friends liked it. Honestly, since last Monday, I haven’t been able to sleep that well, because I really wanted that match to be one of the best ever, and it wasn’t. So I have something to build toward, and hopefully we’ll get to do it on a big stage, and if we do, I know we will tear the house down. I know it." ~~ - 2012 ROYAL RUMBLE POSTER REVEALED ~~ WWE removed John Morrison from their website's roster page officially. ~~ - A WWE-released Shawn Michaels EBook titled "Diary of a Heartbreak Kid" is set for a 12/27 release. Craig Tello, who wrote for WWE.com, is listed as the co-author. ~~ WWE.com has an article about replacing Spinner belt: The WWE Championship has a storied history as diverse as the iconic Superstars that have carried it into battle. Such an incredible symbol of excellence requires a look that will once again reflect the stand-out grapplers who have risen to the top of the WWE mountain. WWE.com joins the call of the WWE Universe on Facebook and Twitter, pleading for the WWE to abandon the current “Spinner Title” design and return to the pride and tradition radiated by past WWE Titles. The WWE Title carried to ring today was created specifically for John Cena, reflecting a time when The Cenation Commander-in-Chief was rapping his way through SmackDown. However, while Cena has long since traded in the giant chain around his neck for dog tags, the Spinner design is still “kicking it old school.” Shouldn’t it have long since gone the direction of other classic personalized titles like Edge’s Rated-R Superstar Spinner modification and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s “Smoking Skull” Championship? If a change is required, there is no shortage of prestigious replacements from which to pick. Looking back through the annals of WWE history, the Winged Eagle Title has to be at the forefront. First introduced for the epic rematch between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant on The Main Event in '88, this awe-inspiring prize instantly rose to prominence, walking hand-in-hand with WWE elite from “Macho Man” Randy Savage to Bret “Hit Man” Hart to The Undertaker. Still, the sheer popularly of the Winged gold does not make it the only brass ring in the sea. Another earth-shattering possibility would be its Attitude Era cousin, featuring a variation of the Eagle, along with a more circular structure similar to the traditional championship, a bigger globe and the larger “Champion” on the bottom. Not only was the Attitude Era Title carried by greats including The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and a slew of other tremendous champions, but bringing back a symbol of WWE’s period of uncontrollable bedlam is truly befitting of the rebellious nature of the current titleholder CM Punk. Some variation of the WWE Undisputed Championship design might make a comeback. Sporting a classy black and gold layout, this celebrated title made famous by legends like the late Eddie Guerrero screams elite and dignified all at the same time. Other classic treasures, such as the 1986 Hulk Hogan WWE Title – which he carried into battle for the majority of his legendary first reign in the ’80s – also deserves consideration. There is enormous glory embedded in past incarnations of WWE’s most coveted prize. So please, stop the collective head of the WWE Universe from spinning and bring back any WWE Title design other than the current title!

Yeah, get rid of the bling-belt! Please! But as long as Cena is still around, even title-less... I think it's a mainstay for the new gen. Lame, but profitable, I guess.

Mick Foley says he would like to have one more match in WWE, and he hopes it's with a younger star so he could "end up in one of their books down the line when they talk about their favorite matches." Foley told ESPN.com's Jon Robinson, "I've noticed, especially in the last few weeks, that there are so many good, young performers in WWE who are all hitting their stride about the same time, and it might be nice to have a match with one of those guys." Foley specifically mentioned Dolph Ziggler in the interview promoting the new "WWE '12" video game. "Man, what an amazing athlete he has turned into. He's specifically one of the guys I was thinking of. He's so good on a weekly basis, and I think the WWE Universe is just starting to realize that," Foley said.
