WWE wrestler Randy Orton has been removed from the lead role in WWE Studios's "Marine 3" movie, reports TMZ .
It appears WWE yielded to representatives of the Marine Corps, who expressed concern bordering on outrage that Orton was announced for the role following a dishonorable discharge in 1999 due to reported bad conduct.
A WWE spokesperson quoted by TMZ said, "WWE demonstrated poor judgment in signing Randy Orton for the third installment of the film. Despite Randy's popularity, the fact that he was dishonorably discharged from the USMC made it inappropriate for him to be cast in this film."
At the time of the announcement last month, the lingering question was whether Orton's dishonorable discharge over a decade ago would become an issue. The answer is yes. Cpl. Mike Vinn, who was one of Orton's former unit members, told TMZ, "I am disgusted that his face and the word Marine are being used next to each other - real or fake - because of the fact that he quit us, the country, and the Marine Corps. (Randy) in the role of a Marine is a disgrace to those that have worn and are wearing that uniform."
WWE did not say who will be replacing Orton in the lead role. The movie, which is scheduled to begin filming in June in Vancouver, is slated for straight-to-DVD release, likely in 2013.

- NOLA.com reports that 24 year old Stephen A. Arceneaux III from Destrehan, Louisiana died while watching WrestleMania 28. The man was reportedly choked out by his 14 year old cousin and pronounced dead at 10:39pm local time.
From NOLA.com:
"According to St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne, Arceneaux had gathered with friends at a home on Murray Hill Drive to watch the pay-per-view event "Wrestlemania 28" on television when he and a 14-year-old cousin began to wrestle on an inflated mattress on the floor. The juvenile, who is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds, placed his arm around the neck of Arceneaux, who was 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighed 220 pounds, in a move commonly known as a "rear naked choke hold" for 30 to 40 seconds.
Witnesses reported that Arceneaux said he would not give up or "tap out."
But at some point, someone noticed that Arceneaux was turning blue and told the youngster to release the hold. When he did, witnesses realized that Arceneaux had stopped breathing and dialed 911, shortly after 10 p.m.
Arceneaux's girlfriend tried to revive him with CPR. He was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Champagne said the investigation is continuing. No arrests have been made."

WWE wrestler Evan Bourne sustained a midfoot fracture dislocation in an accident last week. Midfoot fractures, otherwise known as LisFranc fracture dislocations, are career threatening injuries to athletes and heavy laborers alike, even when treated well. Bourne announced the injury on his own twitter account. One of the tweets read "Broken in 4 spots, dislocated in 5!" He also tweeted out several pictures of the injury that indicate he has undergone a partial open reduction with percutaneous (pin) fixation.
When one of the bones of the midfoot is broken, or one of the ligaments torn, the arch will collapse, guaranteeing arthritis of the midfoot. The collapsed arthritic midfoot is one the most challenging reconstructions in Ankle and Foot surgery. Satisfaction rates after surgery are low as it just never feels right and the push-off power is difficult to generate. Therefore, midfoot fracture dislocations are almost always treated surgically.
In isolated ligament injuries without fracture, the challenge is to identify the torn ligaments. While MRI can be helpful, weight bearing x-rays of the foot give a better picture of stability when compared to the uninjured foot. As an orthopedic surgeon, I believe in an open reduction and internal fixation of the joints with plates and screws to obtain rigid arch support. Occasionally some associated joints require percutaneous (pin fixation). Sometimes the joints are injured so badly that they need to be fused together.
Patients must be kept non-weight bearing for extended periods of time (6 weeks to 3 months) to permit healing after either procedure (fixation or fusion).
It is unknown whether or not Bourne will return to wrestling after this injury but one thing is certain – it's going to be a long road to recovery.

Speculation is that Lord Tensai will be feuding with WWE Champion CM Punk after John Laurinaitis told Punk that "natural disasters" were headed his way. Laurinaitis made the comment on RAW last night after promising more competition for the WWE Champion. When news broke last month of Tensai coming to WWE, first reports were that he would be a "henchmen" for Laurinaitis.
