Background:
Joshua was just a normal kid like everyone else. For the most part. He was born in 1982 in Tucson, AZ as Joshua Lee Dane. The greatest thing about Tucson was its culture which Joshua never realized during his time there. He was found wrestling by accident. It was suggested by a P.E. coach that he join the high school wrestling team after a year Joshua had spent getting in shape from weight lifting. This is when it all started; going from being one of the nerdy fat kids who was bullied and now suddenly Joshua was one of the jocks. But he didn’t throw those old friends away instead he protected them. Which is where the nickname first came around. A friend suggested that Joshua had “tamed” the Bullies. Life was good but it took a quick down turn. One day while hanging out with his friends which included a lifelong friend of his and crush Riley Stone her boyfriend Eric came around. Eric King was the quintessential jock captain of the football team and all. He started pushing around one of Joshua’s friends. Joshua intervened. And things got rough. Joshua was clearly winning the fight when he lost total control, blood-lust took over. All the years of torment when he was the fat, nerdy kid with glasses drove him, the years of wanting the girl he could never have. He never felt the arm reach to stop him. Never noticed when he stopped hitting Eric and started assaulting someone else. There was only rage, only red seeping red… Blood it was blood he was seeing and his eyes opened. There she was… Riley, under his fists bloody… What had he done? He ran. Just ran away. Left that world behind him. Joshua Dane was dead. Joshua needed money and took up wrestling as an occupation. His skills as an amateur wrestler helped. He began training with a Guru on self control and mastery. He also took odd jobs helping those in the communities around him. Taking out small time criminals and the like. Then he traveled all over the United States. He decided to picked up more and more gigs wrestling. And his Independent Wrestling was getting him known. And what was an escape was becoming a new career a new life.
The BruserMania Wrestling Federation was accepting new members. So he took a chance. And started to make his name during the two years until the federation closed. He truly became Tamer the man. Becoming the BMWF Gold Belt Champion, Two-time All-American Champion, Hardcore Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and two-time Tag Team Champion. He was also a founding member of the BMWF Stable of The year for 2004: Prime Time. And the last man to hold the Gold Belt.
Out of The ashes of that federation a new one rose. The Universal Wrestling Circuit. This federation was cutting edge at its time and this is where Tamer truly made his mark. The federation was a nearly three year explosion before it burned too quickly from both ends of the candle. However during the explosion Tamer was the UWC TV Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and a Three Time Universal Wrestling Champion (World Championship equivalent.)
However the most monumental moment of his stay in the UWC came near the end of it’s run. When Eric King resurfaced and told the world the secret Tamer had been hiding his entire career. That Tamer’s morals of being a Hero and defender, these oath to never hit a woman came from tragedy. However this did not crush Tamer instead it brought him new life. Riley stone also came back into his life… the two made amends. It was revealed Tamer had payed for all her medical bills over the years and supported her family anonymously through some very hard times. Riley even began to date Tamer after ultimately forgiving him.
After the UWC Tamer was content he picked up some small jobs here and there but with Riley at his side he was happy to move on with his life. But something was nagging at him…. Did he deserve this? When he was wrestling he earned everything that came his way through blood, sweat, and tears. And now he had everything. Why? He couldn’t forgive himself for what had happened to Riley and she was not truly content herself. They eventually parted ways. Promising to meet again in a few years. He returned to a mundane life. But then wrestling found him. He was booked by a traveling promoter who recognized him at work. And decided why not. Then again at a UWC reunion tour that lasted a month. The same fed kept being the talk of the backstage area. The GZW… GZW… Ground Zero Wrestling. Tamer realized it was time to truly resurface. To inspire people again. To show people what being a man, a hero, really meant. It was time to rebuild his army of fans and loyal supporters. It was just time…
Ups and Downs...More downs then ups told the story of his GZW journey. Eventually losing the right to the tamer Moniker. Now he has to be a man he thought died.
