Hello and welcome everyone. I'm Darryl Beazley, Digital Media Consultant for Ground Zero Global and this is GroundZero Digital here on www.GZW2K1.com and today I'm joined by a very special guest, our beloved Vice President… Mrs Angel Profit-Williams. Thank you for being with us today.
"Thank you for having me."
“First of all, have to get this off my chest. Heatwave IX. What a show. We've had so much positive feedback on the site about it. I don't think everyone appreciates what hard work it is to do this tour and keep it fresh and exciting every year. Tell us, is it still worth it?”
"As long as GZW2K1 has fans out there that love this sport than by all means it is worth it. And you are correct that many don't see or understand the work it takes for something like Heatwave to happen every year for the past twelve years. Anyone associated with the company has my utmost respect."
“And I'm sure I speak for the fans when I say "and mine too". Are you looking forward to the Japan leg of the tour?"
"The company is VERY much excited about returning to the Land of the Rising Sun. Due to the tsunami last year, we were unable to visit Japan during the Summer Heat Tour, but this year all the Globalstars will be there in full force to entertain and perform."
“The treatment of professional wrestling in Japan is very different from that in the US as you know. Globalstars like Lords Leon Corbin and Jon Kellar have expressed a preference for the "puroresu" style. Does that different attitude add an extra level of pressure for the Globalstars?"
"I think for the newer Globalstars that aren't as well rounded as either of those Lords. But I do believe that the newer Globalstars embrace the time by soaking up the culture, way of life, and wrestling style. In turn the 'sports entertainment' aspect we bring to the table is something the Japanese fans absolutely adore."
“I have to ask, do you have any comment to make on the rumours that Jon Kellar will be facing the UJW Junior Heavyweight Champion during the Summer Heat Tour?"
"I wish Lord Kellar all the luck in the world. If his contract allows him to challenge for such a worthy trophy by all means who am I to not wish him well. Of course realistically Lord Kellar is having a hard enough time defeating GZW2K1 Globalstars such as Kate Greene Gilespie."
“Well, I think that's a clear enough response! Now… lots of worried emails coming in, all this talk of scafolding around the coliseum, barricades up around the entrances… you're all over here, so what's going on back there?"
"Scaffolding around the Coliseum? Barricades on the doors?! Ohmigosh, what's going on?!"
“Come on Madame Vice-President, don't be coy now!"
"Okay, you got me. After nearly ten years the home of the greatest Globalstars in the Globaverse, the GZW2K1 Coliseum, is getting a much needed makeover. It was decided what better time to remodel than the Summer Heat Tour."
“Can you give us any details about that makeover?"
"Well I don't want to spoil anything major but it's safe to say that things like the Ring of Honor section and the museum will completely made over."
“What about the Coliseum itself? Plenty of rumours on twirkier of a new set for Crimson?"
"Come now, Darryl, you can't really expect me to ruin any fun that may come with viewing something new? That's like telling your children what's wrapped in their gifts on Christmas Eve."
“Well you can forgive a man for trying!"
"I can say that we do listen to the Globalverse. IF you go to our official website there is a section that allows you to voice your opinion on some of the remodeled areas."
“Well there you go viewers, you wouldn't want to disappoint the Vice President would you? Just time for a few choice twirks… if you'll indulge me?"
“Certainly”
“@gzwmegafan twirks "Your father is the head of HKWF and you're married to the current GZW2K1 World Champion. Your brother, Ring of Honor Icon Pimp Bizkit was an active Globalstar, your little sister, Devotion, was a manager in HKWF and GZW2K1 and the commissioner of the latter, and your brother-in-law, Mychael Lord, is the current HKWF World Heavyweight Champion. Quite a list there…”
“Is there a question?”
“Yes, yes there is. Were you ever tempted to pursue an in-ring career of your own?"
"I've never wanted to be a Globalstar. When I came into GZW2K1 as a manager/valet to my husband that was all I wanted to do. It was just a way for me to be closer to him while he was on the road."
“This one’s from @allstarfan. In your mind, what three things turn a wrestler into a Globalstar?”
"This is that age old question. I would have say that skill, a wherewithal to fulfill that goal of becoming a Globalstar, and a humbleness."
“Humbleness? Not a term you could use to describe many Globalstars. Ha ha! Which would you say is the one they fall down on most?"
"Staying the course seems to be the one pitfall of our Globalstars. It is a long and hard journey but if you stay the course the end result will be magnificent."
“One final question. @littletykepike twirks "With the rise of MMA and with people like Leon Corbin, Alex Cross, Jon Kellar and others on your staff, all of whom have martial arts backgrounds, could we see a Glory/GZW2K1 crossover?"
"Well we have had several 'crossover' type matches where certain stipulations that mixed martial arts utilize are used for a match. I'm honestly not sure if a true crossover will ever occur. A question like that might be better fielded toward an executive directly working with GroundZero Enterprises or even Kandi Fortune-Corbin whose company CrownFirebird is co-owner of GLORY."
“We'll have to get Kandi Fortune-Corbin on the show now!"
"I'm sure she'll be more than happy to oblige, Darryl."
“Mrs Profit-Williams, thank you for coming on the show. I for one can't wait to see the new-look Coliseum"
"Anytime. Thank you for having me."
