The big news as we head towards Lord of the Coliseum season is that management at the very highest level within GroundZero Global - the umbrella corporation comprising all wrestling promotions within the GroundZero Globalverse - are torn and 'severely conflicted' with regards to proposed plans which could see the Globalverse crowning its second ever Triple Crown Champion this year in the Aftermath2K12 main event.
Multiple sources suggest that tension is high as a number of influential individuals, including company executives and shareholders, are said to be pushing heavily for the Triple Crown of Champions to be the star attraction for this year's Aftermath show, creating partitions, animosity and uncertainty within the upper echelons of the Globalverse.
Aftermath's buy-rates have been falling considerably in recent years due to the event's awkward calendar placement and a perceived lack of star power. Traditionally the biggest show on the GroundZero schedule, many officials are anxious to see this year's show live up to hype and expectation.
It is not yet known who falls exactly where in the conflicts surrounding the Triple Crown's potential involvement in this year's Aftermath, but various names who have been reportedly making their voices heard either way include GZG CEO Logan Corzair, GZW2K1 VP Angel Profit-Williams, Ring of Honor Icon James "Monarch" Corbin, HKWF CEO and GZW2K1 Majority Shareholder John Profit, UJW CEO and President Tenzun Fujinami and various aforementioned major shareholders and executives, as well as many prominent and respected Globalstars both past and present.
Although all promotions and employees function under a singular umbrella corporation, longtime followers of the Globalverse know that when large-scale disagreements occur, it can have a massively disintegrating impact on the product(s) as a whole.
