The Reveal
The evening begins with "Hellraiser" by Ozzy Osbourne playing as Jericho Cross heads into the ring, holding a briefcase. He talked about how he wanted to give something back and that he had found a way to do just that. Before the show would go as planned, he opened the case and let the world see, for the first time, what the Trouble Trax Heavyweight Championship looks like.
Quarrie-Naughton Caprice vs Eddie Fever
Both men begin with a collar-elbow lock up and a series of back-and-forth chain holds are exchanged until Fever manages to force Caprice into a corner and turns his chest red with knife edge chops. Fever keeps Caprice on the defensive with suplexes, elbow drops, and general brawling. After a hard DDT, Fever covers for a two count! In frustration, Fever whips Caprics into a corner and rushes with a charging clothesline, but Caprice gets the feet up and into Eddie's face, which stuns him. A springboard spear puts Fever to the mat as Quarrie-Neughton begins to work him over. Eddie is unable to match the pace of Caprice, who takes him down with dropkicks, German suplexes, arm drags and a springboard hurracanrana. With Eddie in a daze, Quarrie pulls him into the Naughtification (Surfboard Stretch) for the submission.
Result: Quarrie-Naughton Caprice wins via submission and will advance to the next round, which takes place in ten days' time.
Stephon Davis vs "Jacknife" Sam O' Riley
The moment the bell rings, Davis and Jacknife rush towards one another and let rip with right hands. Jackife takes the lead with his superior strength and puts Davis to the mat with a scoop slam and a knee drop to the head. O' Riley keeps the momentum going with a whip to the corner and immediately hits a clothesline, dropping Davis again. The ref begins to count as Jacknife holds the ropes and uses a foot to choke Davis, letting go at four. He goes to grab Davis, but is pulled head-first into the turnbuckles. Davis begins to slowly mount an offence, using a belly to back suplex to pull them out of the corner and then uses punches and kicks to wear down Jacknife. After a few high impact suplexes and body slams, Davis picks up speed, using clotheslines and other impact moves to keep O' Riley off his feet, gaining crowd support along the way. Jacknife goes for a hard clothesline to get back into it, but Davis ducks, runs off the ropes and comes back with the Down By Contact (Roaring elbow)! Jacknife is motionless as Davis covers for a count of three.
Result: Stephon Davis wins via pinfall and will advance to the next round.
"Classic Moment Carl Moore vs "God of Pain" Bane
Moore dodges several tie up attempts, ducking under Bane's reach in an effort to toy with him. As his confidence builds, his next attempt to dodge fails when Bane fakes him out and punches him in the face, dropping him to the mat. Bane hammers him with blows to the body and head, then launches Moore across the ring with a huge scoop slam. The crowd is loving it as Bane takes charge. This backfires when Moore tricks the referee into looking away and hitting a low blow on Bane. Moore puts the puts to his downed opponent and keeps Bane from getting fully to his feet with thrust kicks, high knee strikes and even a snap suplex. Looking to end it fairly quickly, Carl locks in the Classic Moment (sharpshooter), but Bane is able to power out, sending Moore flying. As Moore gets up, Bane almost shatters his spine with a spear, doubling him up. The giant then signals for the end as he waits for Moore to get up and pulls him into the Damn Good Sleeper, adding immense pressure to the hold, leaving Moore with no choice but to furiously tap out.
Result: Bane wins via submission and will advance to the next round.
Bluebird vs Honor
Bluebird seems uncomfortable at first as he and Honor encircle each other. There is no lock up, but the two attempt to catch one another with swift kicks and punches, missing some and hitting others in a feeling out process. Bluebird then surprises Honor with a dropkick, than another and then an arm drag. As Honor gets up, he uses a drop toe hold to catch Bluebird unawares. Blubird gets up and is brought back down with a springboard cross body, followed with a standing shooting star press. Cover gets a one count. Bird gets up and reverses a kick into a dragon screw takedown and puts him in an ankle lock. Honor struggles, but literally kicks his way out of it. Bird hits an arm drag, then a dropkick and then a snap suplex. He goes to follow up with a norther lights suplex, but Honor counters with a DDT. Honor then hits a tiger spulex and bridges for the pin, but only gets a two count. Frustrated, Honor goes for the Moment of Zen (TKO), but Bluebird lands on his feet and sends his opponent over with a hip toss and kicks him in the upper back. Bluebird then hits a scoop slam before climbing up the turnbuckles to hit the Bluebird Splash! He covers for a count of three.
Result: Bluebird wins via pinfall and advances to the next round, concluding the first round of the tournament.
Law and disorder vs DeMarcus Sargent and Cyrus Porter
Cyrus and Ronnie are in to start this one and they get into a collar-elbow tie up. As the struggle for the advantage "Redneck Piece of White Trash" plays as the Ruff 'N' Ready Rednecks run down the ramp and into the ring. Bobby had a tyre iron and John is carrying a toasting fork. The crowd "oohs" as Cyrus takes a tyre iron blow to the forehead, busting him open. Sargent steps in to help, but is downed by a blow to the top of the skull. Ronnie, wrongfully assuming he and his partner are not targets, is hit in the head with the business end of John's toasting fork, causing him to turn away, holding his bleeding head. As he doubles over slightly, John signals to the crowd, who pop in response. Seeing this as a green light, John stabs Dane in the backside with the toasting fork, causing him to jump forward, accidentally knocking Timothy Jones off the apron. Bobby continues the assault on both DeMarcus and Cyrus, ensuring that they will not be getting up any time soon. John decides to leave the ring and grab a steel chair, with which he blasts Timothy in the back, putting him on all fours, allowing John to follow up with three or four more shots to the back. He then steps back into the ring and nails Ronnie in the head with it so hard that the chair is wrapped around Dane's skull. John lets the chair go and it fall to the mat, still attatched to Ronnie.
The EMTs rush to the ring to help the four men as the Ruff 'N' Ready Rednecks-now joined by Cletus the Fetus- hold their arms up in celebration of their dominance over the two other teams.
Result: No contest due to interference. And a serious beating.
