Despite initial reports, f4wonline.com is saying that as of last Saturday, former TNA wrestler Alex Shelley has not yet signed a deal with WWE. Currently, Shelley is set to wrestle for New Japan Pro Wrestling in September, and he has been talking about being excited to wrestle in Japan on Twitter. Next month, Shelley will also be graduating from college.

It's been reported for months that WWE is in the process of making a new championship belt that will replace CM Punk's current "spinner" belt.

Punk confirmed in a recent interview that the belt will debut very soon. He speculated it could debut as early as WWE SummerSlam (it didn't) or by next month's Night of Champions pay-per-view.

To update this situation, we can report that Rick Petko from Orange County Choppers, which is featured on The Discovery Channel's American Chopper television series, is helping with the creation of the belt.

He tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that he is currently, "Annealing aluminum for a WWE Championship belt."

- According to those in WWE, the situation with Charlie Sheen is that around the time he agreed to be the Social Media Ambassador for RAW 1000, he also verbally agreed to work the SummerSlam pay-per-view since it was happening in Los Angeles.

About two weeks later, Sheen backed out due to scheduling issues. We now know that he had a big family birthday party that had been planned for months. While the SummerSlam deal fell through, officials are hoping that Sheen will agree to appear more for them in the next few months. We noted yesterday that they are hoping for something with Sheen at WrestleMania 29 but we could see him sooner.

For those wondering, Sheen was never scheduled to wrestle a match. On the night of RAW 1000, WWE's plan was for the first major angle with Sheen to be shot at SummerSlam, not have the angle end. The idea was that Bryan would challenge Sheen to show up on RAW each week and when he appeared at SummerSlam, that would have got WWE the "crazy" media coverage they wanted.

WE.com announced Wednesday that Rey Mysterio suffered a concussion during his match Sunday against The Miz at SummerSlam.

The website notes that according to a backstage source, WWE personnel “suspected because he hit his head.” The following day, precautionary impact testing was conducted and “showed that [Mysterio] is below baseline, which means he sustained some sort of concussion."

The website has confirmed that Mysterio is not medically cleared to compete at this time. The San Diego native did not appear on Raw or SmackDown, and has been removed from all events through a least this coming weekend.

During the Intercontinental Championship Match, The Miz executed a "brutal sit-down powerbomb" which snapped Mysterio’s head against the canvas. WWE.com attributes the trauma suffered from the maneuver to The Awesome One's successful title defense.

WWE physician Michael Sampson says Mysterio “had the first [test] on Monday, which showed us that he was below baseline. The physical exam was normal, but neuropsych testing was below normal. That’s the beauty of neuropsych testing. Based on reaction time and memory, we can measure on a computer, and he was below his baseline. That saves [Mysterio] from causing further injury from the concussion."

WWE.com has confirmed that Mysterio will not return to the squared circle until he is at baseline and passes an exertion test. "To be determined at baseline, Mysterio must pass the aforementioned impact/neuropsych test later in the week. Only then will he be permitted to undergo exertion testing," the website notes.

WWE.com's backstage source estimates that Mysterio “will probably be taking [the impact test today] if he’s still symptom-free, or later on this week.”

WWE Superstar Christian is scheduled to return at TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view to induct Sting into the TNA Hall of Fame.

Christian working Bound For Glory was the second part of the deal made with WWE to allow Ric Flair to work WWE's Hall of Fame earlier this year. There was a push on the TNA side to get Ric Flair to induct Sting but that likely won't happen because of the lawsuit against WWE where Flair is named.

Flair's non-compete with TNA ends on September 6th as it was a 120-day non-compete. Even if there wasn't an ongoing lawsuit where he was named, Flair still could not have worked the 1000th RAW last month. With that lawsuit still up in the air, WWE is afraid to make any direct moves as far as contacting Flair and bringing him back.

There's a feeling that Flair and Matt Morgan would both be in WWE right now if that lawsuit wasn't still going on.

- The current target date for Mark Henry to return from shoulder surgery is late fall. Henry has been saying that if the shoulder doesn't fully recover that he may retire but he is expecting to return.

- Former TNA star Alex Shelley has indeed been in serious talks with WWE. As of this past weekend, he has not signed a contract and is still booked for New Japan's tour in September. Word is that Shelley and WWE are close to a deal and that his signing is imminent.

- WWE's website has a new article up looking at seven Superstars that World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus wants to fight. He listed Big Show, CM Punk, BROCK LESNAR, Kane, Wade Barrett, Randy Orton and The Undertaker.

Here's what Sheamus had to say about each:

Undertaker: "I’ve achieved pretty much everything — WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, Royal Rumble winner, King of the Ring — all that’s left for me to do really is to take out The Streak."

Orton: "Me and [Randy] Orton are no strangers to each other. I have a lot of respect for him, though I’m not sure how he feels about me. If he’s top contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, I’m more than happy to give him that opportunity."

Barrett: "There’s a good rivalry between Ireland and England. Barrett and I definitely mixed it up in the past. It’s never pretty, but it’s always a great fight and I’m sure there’s going to be plenty more opportunities for people to see the two of us go at it."

Kane: "I’ve faced off with Kane before. He’s another larger-than-life Superstar. It doesn’t happen a lot, but I’d be the smaller guy in that fight. That’s OK — it would be great to go in there and mix it up with [The Big Red Monster]."

Punk: "I think a match with [CM] Punk would be great. Talking about dream matches, I think the WWE Champion against the World Heavyweight Champion is a match people would like to see. He calls himself 'The Best in the World' — I’d like him to prove it in the ring with me."

Show: "Big Show has achieved so much in WWE, and for me, the tougher the fight, the better. And what tougher fight is there than against the 7-foot giant?"

Lesnar: "BROCK LESNAR? Absolutely, fella. [He’s a] fellow ginger with an aggressive streak in him. You talk about how aggressive I am, but I think [Lesnar] would definitely be one of the toughest opponents I’d face in my life."

- Scorpio Sky played Harold in the anger management class scenes with Daniel Bryan and Kane. Sky had reportedly skipped out on a WWE tryout last week, but that was obviously not the case.

Sky recently worked in TNA as Mason Andrews. TNA was interested in signing him but he hadn't signed on due to WWE interest.

The anger management scenes were filmed in Los Angeles last week and will run for at least one to two more weeks.

- Silvervision, WWE's European video distributer, has released a four-pack DVD package featuring "Attitude Era" titles Austin 3:16 Uncensored, Three Faces of Foley, Chris Jericho - Break Down the Walls and Kurt Angle - It's True! It's True. According to reader Dan, the titles are unedited as the WWF logo is not blurred andWWF references are not cut out. Chris Benoit is also not edited from the titles; he's featured in the Jericho and Angle pieces, and appears in bonus matches featured in both sets.

concernin' Punk's bleeedin' on RAW:

- It was a move that we used to see every week but rarely see on WWE TV these days. WWE Champion CM Punk reportedly bladed on this week's RAW in the steel cage match against Jerry Lawler. Punk appeared to gig his forehead before returning to the cage a second time and then appeared to hand the blade off to referee Charles Robinson.

At best we can tell, there has been no fallout backstage - meaning Punk has more power than imagined or he successfully argued that he did not blade and that it was a hardway cut. Blading is absolutely prohibited in WWE these days.

- There was a lot of talk backstage at last night's SmackDown tapings that the Jerry Lawler vs. CM Punk angle is a precursor to WWE inducting the late Andy Kaufman into their Hall of Fame next year.

- As reported Wednesday, SmackDown ring announcer Lilian Garcia suggested on Twitter that Michelle McCool and The Undertaker had a baby this week, tweeting, "Congrats @mccoolmichellel & Taker! Soooooo happy 2 hear about ur new bundle of joy!!! #BestWishes!" The Undertaker's eldest son, Gunner, stated Tuesday afternoon on Twitter that the baby is a girl and her name is Kaia Faith Calaway. The new child is Undertaker's fourth and McCool's first.

As noted late last night here on the website, WWE Diva "Cameron", real name Ariane Andrew, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. The Funkette was arrested on Friday at 2:23 AM in Hillsborough County, Florida and was released on a $500 bond.

As we reported, Andrew was arrested on the corner of Jim Walter Boulevard and West Shore Boulevard North on Friday, August 24th. She was released after paying a $500 surety bond the next afternoon. She listed Wells Fargo (Sales Associate) as her employer, not WWE, on her arrest report.

In an update on this, the police report has now been released and there are several new shocking details. According to the report, the arrest took place just outside of the Tampa International Airport and "Cameron" allegedly tried bribing the police officer who pulled her over with $10,000 to let her go free.

The report notes that "Cameron" had a blood alcohol content of .20. That is more than twice the legal limit in the state of Florida. A male passenger in the car told police they had been out drinking martinis prior to being pulled over. "Cameron" then offered one of the officers $10,000 to "let her go because she would lose her job.".

When WWE was contacted about the arrest, they noted: "Ariane [Cameron] did not alert us to this matter, we are investigating and will take appropriate action."

The moral of the story is - she's in deep trouble and tried to keep WWE from finding out about the arrest.

- Ric Flair and his wife Jacqueline Beems are currently going through a divorce. This would be Flair's fourth. There has been talk of replacing Vickie Guerrero with Flair as Dolph Ziggler's mouthpiece but there's no word yet on how serious those talks are. Flair would be legally able to work for WWE on September 10th.
