GZW2K1's newest tag team, The Ruff 'N' Ready Rednecks, have been issued with a two week suspension following their disqualification from the August 17th Crimson broadcast. Specifically, the suspension arises as a result of the team's usage of a rifle as a weapon to assault their opponents, The Champions (Emilio and Victor Champion).
Firearms are one of very few categories of weaponry banned form usage within all GroundZero Global promotions.
The Rednecks had already been causing controversy prior to their in-ring debut with a series of promos containing material of questionable taste including explicit racism, homophobia, implied incest and the supposed burning to death of a child with special needs.
The tandem will miss Honorbound but should be back for the first GZW2K1 show of September.
The team's manager, Cletus the Fetus, has been released from his GZW2K1 contract and will not be returning.
Billy Diamond-Remarkable has supposedly expressed interest in easing the duo into a more 'GZW2K1 friendly' style.
