Hank Hennessy, a.k.a. Big Meat, is scheduled for a dark match at upcoming GZW2K1 special broadcast event Honorbound. Hennessy received a lifetime ban from GZW2K1 events way back in 2001 following a “racially charged” confrontation with future Icon and Commissioner Nathaniel Davis. However, it seems that talks have taken place within GZW2K1 and the ban has been lifted. Big Meat has a lot of history with some past and current Globalstars – most notably with his old drinking buddy turned bitter enemy Icon James “Monarch” Corbin – and it is felt that he may be of considerable value to the company if utilised correctly. Icon Davis is reportedly ready to forgive, if not forget, Hennessy and has sanctioned the dark match to precede the live broadcast. Big Meat will face an as yet unknown opponent and the match will most likely be aired online.

Icon Lord John Taylor, “The Lone Gunman”, has accepted an invitation from GZW2K1 to attend Honorbound. Taylor is currently on vacation in Japan with his wife and infant son. The last time Taylor appeared at a GZW2K1 event was at Heatwave Eight in 2011, where he featured as a special guest commentator , and – lest we forget – interfered in the impromptu main event and cost Bane the World Heavyweight Championship.

Lady Eva Hikari’s move against Davina Cameron entering this year’s Lord of the Coliseum has apparently built up some momentum. The current plan, if our dirty source is to be believed, is for a returning Lord Kaos to receive a bye straight into the semi-finals. This will come at the expense of Davina even getting a quarter-final spot.

Negotiations between Creation Wrestling II and Insane Gods of Wrestling over the proposed GZG-sanctioned interfed supercard have broken down entirely as Chris Cairns and Clancy McClean are said to be deadlocked as to whose promotion should receive top billing within the title of the event itself. Previously, talks had come to a standstill over which of the promotions’ commentary team would call the show. In that instance, however, GZG stepped in and offered the impartial services of Patrick Nelson, Joshua Samson and Todd Crumb; GZW2K1’s famous “Three Stooges”. It’s hard to say if talks will resume at this point.

Weston Bentley has apparently been given a generous amount of shares in Billy Diamond-Remarkable’s Media Muppet network in order to keep him happy during the increasingly humiliating “Diamond in the Rough” sketches. As reported earlier, GZW2K1’s Senior Interviewer was close to resigning from the company altogether following the show’s first episode.

Kolic and Johnny “Vyper” Williams have been vocal backstage about their resentment of Bane’s upcoming World Heavyweight title shot at Honorbound. The two young stars feel that they have been unduly passed over and that Bane is too old for the title picture. There is a lot of heat on the two guys from more senior workers regarding their attitude, though it is understood that many of the younger members of the roster sympathise with them, and feel that the time of the Old Guard such as Bane and reigning champion Nathan “T-Rex” Williams has gone on long enough.
