Clancy McClean’s brief commentary slot at Honorbound - littered with non-sequiturs, glaring cases of mistaken identity and an apparent belief that it is the year 2006 – has raised a few eyebrows from observers. Though McClean has always been a little “out there” there is a school of thought that he is actually beginning to lose his mind. This will come as no surprise to fans of IGW, the promotion booked solely by Clancy and featuring a mythical sea monster as its reigning Heavyweight Champion. Those of us with better things to do than watch a toy soldier wrestle a small baby (the main event at this week’s show) however are only now seeing the McClean of 2012 up close and personal. And it’s a little unsettling.

Hank “Big Meat” Hennessy received a hefty fine following his dark match at Honorbound during (and after) which he kicked seven shades of shit out of The Happiest Man in Atlanta. Current plans for Hennessy remain unchanged and he is scheduled to compete and train at the Trouble Trax until further notice.

Icon Lord John Taylor, The Lone Gunman, flew out of Tokyo immediately following the Honorbound broadcast. He declined to be interviewed or make any comment at the show itself. Taylor appeared as a special guest commentator during the night’s main event and carried out a seemingly selfless act by reviving referee Patricia Albertson – viciously attacked moments before by Nathan Williams – and returning her to the ring just in time to declare Bane as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Bane is reportedly pissed that Taylor was involved at all, feeling that his involvement was a petty attempt to cheapen Bane’s victory. The two men legitimately hate each other and may yet come to blows.
