As seen on GroundZero Global Network the past few days it can officially be reported that the 2006 Lord of the Coliseum and multi-time champion Jon H. Kellar has been placed on thirty day suspension. Lord Kellar's suspension stems from violation of the GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Wellness Policy.
It has not been released what substance Lord Kellar has exactly been abusing but it can be confirmed that the Globalstar failed his normally scheduled drug test and furthermore failed a second test given immediately after the first.
Those familiar with Lord Kellar's career know that he was already in a probationary period after violating the Wellness Policy years ago.
New news from the ongoing investigation concerning the Special Broadcast Event: Honorbound has filtered from the GZW2K1 Command Suite today. There is much chatter that Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams' suspension will extend to the end of October. His most recent actions at a Crimson broadcast that saw the seven footer brutally assault current GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Champion, Bane, may be the cause for the extension. Many in the industry believed that Icon Williams would have been reinstated at the end of September.
Speaking of Bane, it seems that he will not receive medical clearance to compete in any upcoming GZW2K1 shows. Currently Bane was removed from all house shows for the month of October and his name does not appear on the list of Globalstars competing in this year's Lord of the Coliseum tournament. Per tradition of the LotC tournament, the World Heavyweight Champion is slotted into the brackets and must defend the World title in each match.
A casting call has been released for "The Good Guy" reality show hosted by former GZW2K1 Globalstar Tommy Casper. The call was posted Wednesday and closes Thursday.
According to to the call, the producers are "not necessarily casting the fittest or the fastest" contestants for the competition show, but are "looking for everyday people who are not afraid to be themselves and who are ready to win big!"
The casting call suggests portions of the show will be filmed internationally, as contestants are required to have a passport and will "travel outside of the U.S. for a two-and-a-half-week adventure." Full details on the casting call available at CrownFirebird.com
