Steve Sampson has reportedly been barred from active competition due to not being medically cleared. Injuries sustained to Big Sinister's arm at Sunday Storm will cause the The Slaughterhouse big man to be sidelined for a yet determined timeframe.
No official from Sampson but word from the GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Command Suite is that Sampson will be medically evaluated this week to see if he will need surgery.
Rumors are circulating that the 2011 Lord of the Coliseum Eva Hikari will be announcing her retirement from professional wrestling as soon as this week. Lady Hikari has been paralyzed from the neck down after an alleged botched maneuver by her sister Hayden Hoshiko weeks ago.
Lady Hikari has underwent corrective surgery to her neck and spinal cord last month.
With Kolic's most recent loss and failure to qualify for the 2012 Lord of the Coliseum tournament there has been increased talk that the former Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion and current World Tag Team Heavyweight Champion has fallen out of favor amongst backstage. Since his arrival the Executive Committee has put much effort into branding Kolic as the "face of the company". Word is that he will receive a diminished television role after this year's annual tournament.
The Globalverse is abuzz concerning the true identity of the mysterious masked man now known as Beware. With his inclusion into this year's Lord of the Coliseum tournament by reason of 2007 Lord of the Coliseum Leon Corbin giving up his spot, many believe that Beware is in actuality Lord Corbin. Given Lord Corbin's flare and history for dramatics and subterfuge, he tops the list. Other names being thrown around are Ring of Honor Icon Sean "Magic" Fiery, Ring of Honor Icon "Smooth Operator" Billy Bond, Tommy Casper, and Bane.
Reports are coming in that the GZW2K1 Command Suite will be releasing major news concerning the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship. As reported earlier Bane, the current World Heavyweight Champion, has been placed on the injured list. While at the same time a suspended Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams has physical possession of the title belt.
Expect breaking news once anything comes out concerning the matter.
Unless an unknown candidate reveals him or herself by the end of October, it is believed that Vice-President Angel Profit-Williams will have all but locked up the nomination to be the next GZW2K1 President. For a while it was to be believed that BDR (now known as Billy Diamond Remarkable) was on the long list to challenge Vice-President Profit-Williams for the executive position currently held by Seth Richards, but with BDR now settled into a managerial position there seems to be no obstacles for the daughter of John Profit.
A new GZW2K1 President will be officially announced January 1st, 2013.
