Major news coming out of the GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Command Suite today. It has been confirmed that the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship has been vacated. In a somewhat convoluted way, Bane's run as the company's top champion will be stricken from the history books after a month long investigation into the match where the God of Pain defeated Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams. The GZW2K1 Executive Committee has overturned the win and declared the match a No Contest after Referee Patrica Albertson erroneously declared Bane the winner. This in effect leaves Icon Williams as the World Heavyweight Champion.
The subsequent suspension to both Icon Williams and Referee Patrica Albertson have been immediately lifted and both will be reinstated. Referee Albertson will demoted and not allowed to officiate any matches with Icon Williams. Due to actions unbecoming of a World Heavyweight Champion leading up to, at, and after the Special Broadcast Event: Event Honorbound Icon Williams will be stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship.
It has been decided that the winner of the 2012 Lord of the Coliseum tournament will be award the World Heavyweight Championship at the end of the night at Crimson "It Happened One Night".
