The lights dim throughout the arena until all is black as the opening to Nine Inch Nails’ ‘The Hand That Feeds’ starts to fade in. As the beat kicks in, red lights flash around the arena until only one stops at the entrance ramp and slowly dies away.

At that moment, the red spotlight flashes its brightest at the top of the entrance ramp where, in all his glory, stands the 2014 Ring of Honor Icon and World champion much to the mixed reaction of the crowd. On their feet, they boo and cheer the man equally and loudly as he is showered by falling red sparks above him. In his black PVC trunks and a leather jacket adorned with red flashing LED lights to fit the theme of the event, he just basks in their reaction, staring with a smirk from his made up visage. He turns his attention to the title belt proudly draped over his shoulder then looks up to the ring at the challenger.
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?
He starts to walk the ramp with his trademark conceited grin and a swagger with the spotlight on him the whole way, creating a sinister shadow on his face that accentuates his perfect features. He walks up the ring steps and glares over his kingdom, smirking at his subordinates before he enters the ring through the middle rope.

He takes the time to climb each turnbuckle, holding the title out with the crowd continuing their verbal assault on the man known to all as Vicious. He finally makes his way to the middle of the ring and removes his jacket, tossing it onto the top of a turnbuckle and handing the belt over to the referee.

Strengths:
- Innovative and unpredictable, will find a way to win by any means necessary.
- Dextrous, his body shows no limits to his ability.
- Well honed in his training, training in martial arts and wrestling in Japan in shootwrestling adds to his already varied wrestling style from across the globe.
- Ruthless, his well documented sadist tendencies can cause maximum damage.
- Masochistic, he can take a hell of a beating and enjoy it, he's only ever tapped once and would be knocked out as opposed to ever tapping.
- Master manipulator, more so before than he is now but you never know with him, he uses his surroundings to his advantage.
Weaknesses:
- His weight makes him an easy target against bigger stars.
- Disorientation, comes when he gets a little too excited. He can be dangerous in this state but is also very vulnerable.
- Mental, no secret but Leon is not really with it. His paranoia is both a blessing and a curse, he can be as easy to trick as it is for him to stumble on someone's plans.
- His physical weakness is actually his nose...hit that and it bleeds every time...
- Offend him once and he can't always be trusted. Has had a tendancy to turn his back on stablemates but never without a good reason.
Gimmick:
Camp/gay. Real pretty boy even without the make up, picture base is Travis Fimmell but still a bigger build, same as Johnny Nitro's physique but completely solid. Personality wise he is unpredictable and his mood changes a lot from day to day even in the same hour, sometimes from one sentence to another. Caring to those he likes but has absolutely no regard for anyone he sees as an enemy and can appear as insensitive and quite frankly he's a complete bastard. In a match you never what you're gonna get! His pain threshold is extremely high and can take delight in giving and taking a severe beating!! His dexterity is second to none as is his physical skill in various wrestling styles mixed with martial arts and a vicious hardcore fetish background... He might be gay but he sure ain't weak!! His style is that of a Japanese shootwrestler.

| Starting off as unlikely friends, it wasn't long before these two got closer and supported one another during their times of need, although it seemed to be more Leon's neediness than Eva's back then with his issues with alcohol and his husband's disappearance for the best part of a year. It was strange just how comfortable these two were physically and thought nothing of it until Leon would come to the ring and confess that he had become emotionally attached to the woman known as "Nemesis" and wanted something more to the utter shock of everyone watching, including Eva herself. She would agree, thought not right away, and things were going well, the two even getting engaged until their lives were turned upside down the moment Vernon Vanderbilt decided to return and reclaim what was his in the form of his husband. Leon initially refused but eventually gave in at a moment's weakness. The engagement was off albeit temporarily and after a lot of regret and lamenting Eva and Leon would marry on the 16th of June 2009. As happy a day as it was, their marriage has been filled with turbulence but always from outside forces who hate to see the two happy. Regardless, they keep fighting and are stronger for it. In reality, their relationship shouldn't work due to several factors but they have a special understanding most wouldn't understand. She is his rock and he would do anything for her and their children. Whether she knows it at heart or not, she can completely trust him. | ||
| Born 31st July 2005. Leon's first daughter although conception was unconventional. In fact it was because he was a sperm donor that this was even possible as he has never had a physical relationship with Lucy's mother Davina. Yet, she is as special to him as his other children. Her birth was solely a game for her mother to play with Leon but eventually he would get custody thanks to his husband at that time. Though in bitter time in their relationship Vanderbilt traded with her biological mother Davina Cameron and a further battle between mother and father ensued before she was more than happy to relinquish her rights altogether in pursuit of the GZW World title, knowing which Leon would choose. Even so, Leon allowed Davina access to try and let the two bond but that was short-lived. Aged two was when she first met Eva and she bonded almost immediately with the woman, always trying to seek her approval and with Eva and Leon's relationship blossoming, becoming a family unit in that sense was seamless as Eva was mum to Lucy very early on. She loves her siblings, even if they do get on her nerves at times and loves baking with Eva, reading, drawing and Karate. She's always been ahead in her class but that is due to her grandmother spending a lot of time with her when she was small. Some also think her studious side and her love for reading is a way for her to deal with the many events she has already experienced in her young life. Very observant and does possess a darker side if you consider she is manipulative but that is usually for the greater good, like getting her parents to stop arguing, for instance. Although she has been nicknamed "Pumpkin" as far back as she can remember, she finds it really embarrassing now and insists Leon needs to stop...of which he won't. | ||
| Born 4th August 2011, two months premature. Fought to stay alive but like any Corbin, is a true survivor in the face of diversity and challenge. From very early on, he has been closest most to Eva and as a result is known to follow her around nowadays that he would even join her in the loo if she didn't insist he stay outside. An aspiring train driver, he loves Thomas the Tank Engine and craves love and attention from whomever will give it to him, likely a result from the amount he received as a baby from Eva during hard times or the time Leon was "with" Davina Cameron. Loves his trike but never bothers using pedals as it's more fun to push himself along unless one of the older kids are doing it for him. Although he's mummy's boy, he's close to Leon and sometimes tries to emulate his father in the sense that he's the big strong man of the house if Leon has to go out anywhere. This usually means flexing his tiny little arms and relaying orders that everyone needs to have a cup of tea. Also known charmingly as "Zippy" thanks to Eva, and to Leon's despair. | ||
| Born 4th August 2011, two months premature. She was the weaker and smaller twin but fought hard to stay alive. Leon adores the child and she can be found being pushed around on Daniel's skateboard, being read to by Lucy or playing with her twin brother. It's also not unheard of to see her playing with Leon either and they most enjoy finger painting together or colouring in which usually ends up with them both covered in poster paint and getting told off by Eva. Then you get the game of who can clean the most between father and daughter of which Georgia always seems to win hands down...which makes them both happy, unsurprisingly. She likes to be a princess with a sword and has been demoted to using foam or rubber weapons after hitting her cousin with the plastic one when frantically and enthusiastically trying to defeat the evil dinosaur. Her favourite program is Adventure Time and she wants to be a horse rider when she gets older to complete the image of being a warrior princess. Fondly referred to as George by those around her. | ||
| Daniel is the son of former Globalstar and "sister" of Eva Hikari, Helena Howe (aka Hayden Hoshiko). As easy as it was for Eva to take to Lucy, Leon had no problem welcoming the boy into his home during turbulent times when his mother was around and officially adopted him in 2010. He's usually skateboarding Georgia around the house or talking motorbikes with Eva when she's tinkering in the garage or polishing her baby but with Leon, he's quite keen on showing off his football skills just as he does with James. Keen on learning, even it is mostly to gross out Lucy with disgusting facts just to get a reaction. While he was always seen with his favourite dinosaur plushie when he was smaller, now he collects scale figure models and can tell you anything you want to know about any dinosaur recorded. Moderately sporty and enjoys the Karate lessons he goes to with Lucy. | ||
| Leon has known Trystan since he first washed up on American soil and got to know one another while subsidising some income to train at the Mega Bargain wrestling school in San Francisco by working in a seedy club. While Leon had to sell his body for the cash, the bigger stature of Trystan meant working the doors. The trade off for getting so little money was that they at least had a place to sleep at nights. Originally from Canada, he fled to the US with some money he stole from his uncle's home which he had been living since the tragic house fire that took the lives of his mother, father and younger sister. That decision to leave was made so much easier when he overheard conversations between his aunt and uncle about how selfish his father was to burden them with his child and that Trystan should have died with the rest of them in spite of the fact he always kept his head down. Time would pass and Leon would return to take over ownership of the very same club, ousting the owner and rebranding the place that would become the very infamous "Vicious Circle". It was then Trystan was put in charge and like a fish to water, it was the most natural thing for him to do. Although the club flourished under his management, Trystan decided to take up the offer presented to him by Monarch and landed himself a spot on the GZW roster in 2007 but would later return to his role as club manager as he could never really get to grips with the acting a bastard side of things in the business as a man who was so level-headed. He later returned and found a suitable role as a GZW referee which he has had much more success with. He has had an on and off physical relationship spanning several years with Leon, even when Leon was in serious relationships already and has been jealous of every one of Leon's lovers except for his wife Eva, although that wasn't straight away. These days he's a friend of the family and enjoys spending time with Leon's children. Possibly because of the issues he is having with the access of his own daughter, Secret, he shares with former Globalstar and now actress Joy Napier. | ||
| Leon's biological mother who gave birth to him at seventeen. She and Leon have not always see eye-to-eye, especially where the sport is concerned and how Leon lived his life in his early career. In spite of her loving nature, she is not without her faults and some of them have been huge. Some include where she was assumed dead but revealed to be alive. Instigating the kidnap of his daughter Lucy with the aid of Trystan Lloyd to try and get through to Leon back in 2007. Repeated affairs with James Corbin even after his wife Kandi invited her to stay in their Athens home once her irreparable and troubled marriage with George Taylor ended in divorce, thus betraying the woman that was like a sister to her. Leon ended up going to jail for hitting his mother while in Japan which ultimately cost him the UJW and GZW titles and any chance to wrestle for UJW as well as the family shunning him but not after his father came to give him a beating first. At the end of her affair with James Corbin she was so heartbroken that she tried to commit suicide only failing to succeed because of Davina Cameron stopping her at the time. It wasn't the first time she was "saved" by Cameron either as she stopped Janet's ex husband from harming her in her home. Janet now lives with her sister Faye and is a secondary school history teacher, her specialist subject. She fears her ex-husband as he's shown his dark side throughout most of their relationship and after it and has issues with trusting men though most people do not even know why, not even Leon...especially not Leon. In spite of her reputation to those who know her, she has only ever been with two men in her entire life. She is distant with the family which unfortunately is something that is all too common with Janet. | ||
| As a child, Leon was a typical wrestling fanboy and followed Monarch's career, idolising him very much to the despair of his mother. Little would he know that her disapproval was born from the family secret that Monarch was his biological father and that even the innocent hanging of wrestling posters up in his bedroom was a dark reminder to all who knew that this man was still and ever would be a huge part of their lives. Monarch had been watching Leon for years and made some monetary contributions towards his upbringing but they'd never meet until Leon came to GZW. Their first meeting was at the 2005 Lord of the Coliseum event with the two sharing the VIP box after the RoughKut Invititational Tournament II and him beating one of GZW's rising stars of that time. Something Leon assumed was what got him noticed but that turned out not to be the case when Monarch, in the ring, revealed to Leon that he was his father (as well as Tommy's) and rocked the Globalverse. Since that time, their relationship has blown hot and cold. As much as Leon respects the man professionally, and who couldn't, his feelings on a personal level are very muddled. He has days where he thinks he can forgive and others where he cannot. Leon craves the love of his father but how does that translate as an adult who missed out on the necessary bonding growing up? A difficult relationship, especially after introducing Davina Cameron to GZW who he knew played a big part in Leon's misery over the years but also betraying Kandi with his birth mother. James is currently the GZW President. | ||
| Leon's half brother from his mother's side and four years his junior. These two have always had a sibling rivalry, in part because of James' father showing favouritism when they were children which was down to the revelation that Leon was not his child. James was always the studious one and attended Oxford university to study law while oblivious to the situation that was around him regarding his parents. Even though Janet doted on him growing up with Leon just a failure in her eyes James favours his father when they were going through their divorce yet is still civil to a point. He blames his mother for the break up of the family after finding out about his mother's affair years ago and the repeat of it years later. On the 11th of March 2008 an altercation with his brother resulted in him viciously attacked and hospitalised, even close to death. He has since forgiven Leon for that incident and it's taken him a long time to trust him enough not to have to meet up in a public place but they're getting there. He took a liking to Helena/Hayden when they first met and would spend a lot of time together but it was when she reappeared after faking her death that he got closer and developed a physical relationship with her that would turn out to be mind games. He forgave her and having watched her go through rehabilitation decided they could be good together after all. The couple live together and ignorance is definitely bliss. He still keeps in contact with all family members but doesn't get to see them as much as he'd like. Currently works as a lawyer in Will's father's company in the UK. | ||
| Leon's half brother from his father's side and because of that there has been a lot of contention, especially at the beginning. Imagine watching as the son your father had with a woman he had an affair with is getting further in the industry even though you have been around your wrestling superstar father all along. Imagine watching as your father doesn't just have an affair with this woman once years ago while he was married to your now deceased mother but it happens a further two more times in later years while he was married again. Although, this couldn't be classed as Leon's fault, it was always something in the air between these two as Leon had to argue the other side that Thomas had his father in his life all along while Leon was made to live a lie and suffer the consequences at the hands of his mother's husband and never knew why. There is a professional rivalry between the brothers but their personal relationship has improved over the years which may be partly due to Leon cleaning up his act - a big issue for a man who once was known as the Straight Edge Executioner. Thomas (or rather Tommy Casper) has since retired from the sport after his tenure in UJW to concentrate on his family life since his wife has given birth. Easily a representation of not wanting to follow his father's footsteps in that regard. The brothers still speak from time to time and Leon is genuinely disappointed that Thomas' talent will go to waste but is fully understanding of why he has chosen this path. | ||
| Davina met Leon before he turned up in GZW. In fact it was in the company before where he and Davina were actually a tag team where she was known as "The Delicious one". Surprisingly, they were well suited, complementary even. Even though she knew of Leon's colourful persuasion she wanted him all the same, even trying to "groom" him and after that failed, she disappeared only to reappear months later with a baby she insisted belonged to him. This baby was a bargaining tool and even there to blackmail him but at the beginning, couldn't have cared less about her or this child she could have borrowed for the day for all he knew. Only as time went by, those feelings would change and she was more than happy to exploit any emotion after getting in contact again with letters and photos of something he could never have. Eventually she would lose custody but that never stopped her playing games, especially once Eva got on the scene. The absurdity of him falling for a woman that wasn't her was enough for her to up the ante in many ways and tried anything and everything to break the two up or destroy whatever stability they had and it'd be a lie to say it didn't almost work, especially after almost killing Eva and the unborn twins in their London home after a vicious attack. Visa issues have meant that Davina is unable to wrestle for GZW in recent times and she has had to forfeit her contract. As a result, she doesn't seem to know what to do with herself when so much of her time was taken up by obsessing over Leon and the life Eva stole from her, or wrecking other people's lives on the GZW roster that she has fallen victim to drugs, sex and alcohol. To add insult to injury, she's on friendly terms with the other woman that has tried to destroy their lives, Helena Howe. She seems to want to know her daughter Lucy but her true intentions are unclear or really, no one is likely to trust her. | ||
| Introduced through his wife Eva, she and Leon have never really had a close relationship and if truth be known, he's never really liked her much, especially as time goes by and she adds more to the list of misdemeanours against the family. Initially, he tried to be supportive as they shared the issue of alcoholism but it wasn't long before she "died", causing the family distress and then upon returning from her fake death, also had dealings with the one woman who has tried her best to destroy the family unit. She had been friendly with Leon's brother James back in the beginning and once she returned, she played mind games with him while she was on the run from the real Hayden. After a stint in rehab at the hands of Eva, she developed a relationship with James but unbeknownst to him, she has been dishonest for some time and shows no signs of improvement as she drinks, takes drugs, sleeps around and even maintains a friendship with Davina Cameron. The rest of the family (Leon, Eva and Will) are aware of this but with how stubborn James was, have decided not to get involved in the matter unless there is a good reason for it. It's believed that she is using James to get close to her son Daniel though the reason why is not yet known. Or rather, confirmed. | ||
| From the time Leon has been in GroundZero Wrestling, he has had strong feelings for Kandi. The two were very close as friends and he had even seen her as a parental figure at one point. Ironic as it would later be revealed she was in fact his stepmother. There was a time where their relationship became rocky due to Leon's excessive drinking and as her mother and her husband had been major alcoholics at some point in her life, it was no surprise she took a step back from him, even banishing him from the big family house until he could get himself sorted out. A hard decision, one that hurt her but it was necessary as there was no way she was prepared to surround herself or her children with a drunkard. Eventually, the two began trying to reform their old relationship as Leon took the help he was offered and managed to get himself rehabilitated. Although they don't get to see one another as much as they used to or would like to due to conflicting schedules, they do keep in contact where possible as Kandi loves to see her grandchildren as much as Leon loves to see his much younger siblings. When given the choice, Leon will always take Kandi's side over that of his biological mother Janet's, mainly due to his hypocritical moral standing. | ||
| Leon's trainer from his tenure in Japan and something of a father figure after taking the teenager under his wing at the time. This comes as no surprise after the revelation that Satomura is indeed unable to have children of his own due to infertility. The former Japanese wrestler is on familiar terms with James Corbin but it's clear there is an unspoken and yet uncomfortable atmosphere between them even if they do have a professional respect for one another likely from their own matches in their prime. This may be due to the fact Satomura maintained James' secret regarding paternity but in doing so was able to have a closer relationship with Leon than James would have liked. In spite of Leon's usual aggressive and disrespectful nature towards many it's something that has never been present with Satomura to the extent that Leon would rather not be in contact at all than be aware of Satomura's disappointment in him, or worse still feel the wrath of the nastiest open palm slap in the entire industry (if you ask Leon). Sadly that has often been the case. The two haven't been in contact since the "Young Lion" Eiji Nakano was brought to GroundZero Global. Satomura was the original owner of the Taylor Takedown (Now The Corbin Academy) that Leon inherited from him, although it went by another name at the time. He has always been supportive of Leon's decisions, good or bad but doesn't hesitate to tell him exactly what he thinks about them. | ||
| There was a time when Vernon was Leon's everything, though their relationship had been volatile at best. They first met in San Francisco when Leon was still a teenager where Vernon was a guest trainer at the budget wrestling school Leon was attending at the time and the attraction was instant between the two. Even then, their relationship would be brief as Vernon left him behind and the two would not meet again until the infamous RoughKut Invitational Tournament II back in 2005. Eventually, the two would get together again and even marry but the paradise was shortlived as Vernon disappeared soon after with no contact or reason as to why after a triple threat match with Leon and Sean Fiery for the World title. In his absence Leon pined and never rested easily, the same as anyone else whose family member has gone missing. As time went by and with still no Vernon, Leon moved on and into the arms of fellow Globalstar and friend Eva Hikari but that was turned on its head once Vernon decided to return in 2008. Even though he'd become hostile and deceptive, even using the parental rights he had shared over Lucy as a way to mess with the man he was still legally married to. But even so, with having to face Vernon after his absence it was clear Leon had never put any feelings to rest properly and even, at a show, gave into temptation while engaged to Hikari, likely deliberate on Vanderbilt's part. Leaving devastation in his wake, he'd disappear again and Leon was left to mend his mistakes with the realisation that the man he'd married was manipulative and deceptive. Once again Vanderbilt returned for a very brief stint in 2014. They didn't speak even once, proving that whatever had been between them had finally been laid to rest. | ||
| These two have always had an uneasy relationship since Leon and Eva got together. He's not much of a fan of Leon for a few reasons and has never done much to hide it. One, that Leon had cheated on his sister very early on and two, that no one is ever really going to be good enough for her in his big, protective brotherly eyes. Yet, the moment anything is wrong with Eva, that uneasy relationship becomes an uneasy alliance as both men can appreciate what she means to the other and immediately join forces to get things back to normal as quickly as they can and provide support for each another. Leon doesn't have a problem with him really and is actually consoled that there is likely nothing on this earth that could sway this man's loyalty towards his wife and in a business where you can't really trust anyone, that's a rare quality to find. It's also not unheard of for Will to be taking all the kids out on trips with his wife Kate as she is the registered child minder for the Corbin children when Leon and Eva are away on business. | ||
| The ex-husband of Leon's mother Janet and the one man who likely hates James Corbin more than anyone. He and Janet were high school sweethearts, their relationship moving very quick where Janet fell pregnant at sixteen. She of course aborted his child being so young but a year later had a child with James Corbin of whom she was having an affair in spite of the fact she was married to George. With James on the road becoming a star, George took on the responsibility of bringing Leon up but life had turned sour and was full of resentment. George would mistreat his wife badly, abusing her mentally and physically while favouring his real son over Leon and mistreating him as well when he was small but as he got older, his indifference and shunning appeared to be because of Leon's lack of academics and his orientation. With both children leaving home, he was free to treat his wife as he liked until she sought sanctuary with the Corbins (unbeknownst to them) or would just "disappear". With the news of further affairs with Corbin in recent years, Taylor had become even more volatile towards Janet and yet still loves in her in his twisted way. He dotes on his real son James but with giving no detail about what really happened between him and James' mother, is able to manipulate him and pass off any outrageous behaviour from Janet as his mother being crazy. As for Leon, the two haven't seen one another in the best part of a decade. Leon has been tempted to talk to him, find out the truth after his mother confirmed some flashbacks but is unsure if he really wants to know. Taylor has a dislike for Davina Cameron and is currently living in Devon but continues to stalk his ex-wife. |
