Master Iron Palm
John Scarsdale was trained by the legendary father of Firefly and longterm rival of Jackie Lee, Masato Anjor. Scarsdale managed to legally wrangle Anjor's dojo out of his hands, and left Anjor impoverished and bitter. Unfortunately, Scarsdale's brutality and cruelty within his dojo caused it to collapse. Seeking a new place to inflict pain and take out his frustration, Scarsdale joined the HKWF with a mercenary thug for hire gimmick. He quickly gained the rep of being extremely stiff in the ring, and at one point a main event wrestler refused to get in the ring with him.
Scarsdale took a break, but returned with a new look and a new gimmick (cruel martial artist - it wasn't difficult for him to grasp). when it was discovered Scarsdale was gay tthere was a rumour that he'd been the secret lover of someone very high up in HKWF hierarchy as there was no sane reason why such a stiff worker would get another chance, let alone a huge push.
Whether or not the rumours were true or not it was at this point that Scarsdale met Masato Anjor II (better known in the ring as Shinoba). They initially shared the bitter hatred of Masato Snr, but eventually began to share the same bed. Unfortunately, it did nothing for either of them and their brutal reps.
MIP and Shinoba formed the tag team Martial Law, and have achieved huge success in the Tag Division.
