Appearance & Personality: Azrael is tall and muscular, usually wearing either white leather trousers and boots, white bandages around the hands and wrists and his white hair in a tight pony tail or all black. His face is badly scarred down the right cheek and across his mouth. Azrael also wears specially made contact lenses that give him the appearance of having pure white eyes, almost like cataracts. He speaks in a slow, deliberate manner, sometimes extending vowels, resulting in a very unsettling and creepy voice, one that is somewhat husky, but with a slightly higher pitch than expected. He is utterly perverse and takes pleasure in maiming people and spilling blood. He doesn't do this to be edgy or rebellious, but simply because he enjoys it. He is always looking for new ways to use objects to hurt or injure others and as such, should be approached with caution.

Advantages
Strong. Azrael packs a lot of power in his striking offense and in his grapple game. He can match power with all but the biggest powerhouse wrestlers.
Experienced.
Extremely tough. Azrael enjoys pain to the point where he is known to laugh at hits that would put lesser men on their backs. An opponent who is used to watching others roll around in pain would likely be surprised to see him smile at them instead.
His Fallen Angel move can come from anywhere, as can his Destroying Angel finisher, to a certain extent.
Disadvantages
Uncontrollable. Azrael loves to torture his opponents and is used to an environment where anything goes. This can lead to him losing via disqualification. He will avoid being DQ'd in title matches if he can help it, but sometimes, that's a big if.
His one track mind means he can be lured into a pinning predicament or even a submission if he has been sufficiently worked over.
He doesn't tend to play well with others, meaning he usually faces groups of enemies alone. Sometimes, he even seeks them out by himself. On paper, this puts him at a clear disadvantage.
Entrance: “Oh Death” by Jen Titus is played as the lights go out and a ring of fire becomes visible on the stage.

Azrael becomes visible as he rises from the ring's centre. He steps out onto the stage, bathed in red light.
But what is this, that I cant see
with ice cold hands taking hold of me
Azrael walks slowly down the ramp, his eyes never straying from the ring. His face bears a perverse smirk as he approaches.
When God is gone and the Devil takes hold,

Getting to ringside, he uses the ropes to pull himself up and then steps over them, walking to the middle of the ring. He then heads to one side and gives a mock bow, earning a negative response from the crowd.
No wealth, no ruin, no silver, no gold
Nothing satisfies me but your soul
Oh, Death,
Walking to the other side, he does the same thing, gaining yet another torrent of boos and jeers from the fans, which makes him smile. As the camera zooms in, it shows his contacts, giving him the appearance of whited-out eyes as he smiles a sick grin.
Well I am Death, none can excel,
I'll open the door to heaven or hell.

my name is Death and the end ïs here...
As the music stops, he walks to one corner, near the announcing table as the lights return to normal.
Facts and Trivia
-Azrael has won multiple titles in different wrestling companies throughout his career, though none yet from the big three (UJW, HKWF and GZW). He has been a multi-time world champion, intercontinental champion and even tag team champion.
-Though there have been several rumour circulating as to the origin of his facial scars, only Azrael knows the truth, though he has yet to reveal this to anyone else. When questioned about them, he tells people only that "It was fun".
-Azrael seems ignorant of the mythology surrounding his namesake. He is portrayed in Islamic tradition as an archangel of death, as well as a gentle and kind being, a far cry from the malignant, white-haired man in the wrestling ring. Also, the name means "Helper of god", which is, again, a very different description to that of the man who has found his way to GZW2K1.
-Azrael is very arrogant and will only ally with people he considers worthy of his attention and approval. Not many fall within this category, but he will happily cause harm to anyone in his way.
-He has killed the nerve endings on and around his knuckles, allowing him to hit as hard as he wants without and 'feedback' hurting his hands. Obviously, this could bring bad consequences for him as he could break his hand or fingers without realising it.
-As sick and twisted as he is when he's happy, he's much worse when made angry.
Connections:
Vyper. When Vyper was in his late teens, he had trained enough to travel the indy circuit. In the now-defunct Titan Wrestling Entertainment, he met The Angel of Death. Johnny's trial by fire at his hands was horrific. To this day, Johnny rarely ever speaks about it.
Jericho "Raze" Cross: These two met in TWE's partner company UnReal Wrestling several years ago. Their feud was bloody, violent and sickening, prompting The King of Thorns to become even more twisted and brutal then he had ever been at that time. As hard as he fought, he just couldn't bring Azrael down and lost the war.
Phantom: Azrael is one of the very few who knows the enigma's real name. These two have been through hell together, all starting when Phantom stepped in to save a young rookie from Azrael's torturous onslaught. Having fought each other on and off for years, no one knows Azrael better than Phantom. However, the same could well be said vise versa.
