Why do the WWE keep showing the movie previews claiming a superstar is supposed to star in it and they only show a brief glimpse of their face.
I swear "i think" i saw david otunga and wade barrett in their previews

Why do WWE insist on making WWE films? They are always run of the mill predictable pieces that have been done to death before they lay their uncreative mitts on them. It's one thing to have films who just so happen to have wrestlers in it but to make bad acting wrestlers the star is bad bad bad...

I too wish they'd either stop making films or get Michael Bay to direct them lol

It's hard to believe that enough people see those movies to make them profitable. I don't believe I have ever watched a single movie produced by the WWE; the trailers are more than enough to put me off forever.
Wait, did they produce the Dwayne Johnson remake of Walking Tall? I watched that one. It was awful.

well in the case of The Call and Dead Man Down those aren't solely WWE films...they have just partnered with other major studios...that is why Halle Berry is starrin' in The Call and Colin Ferral and Terrance Howard are starrin' in Dead Man Down...the added benefit to WWE (besides monies) is that you can throw in some WWE wrestlers as extras and the such...I honestly think it's a brilliant business plan that will help bolster their own film studio...
also I think I saw/read somethin' about WWE partnerin' with The Rock to help cross promote all his upcomin' movies...

Sounds about right. One of the worst actors if you ask me. It's enough when wrestlers act during their wrestling careers but to leave wrestling to be a bad actor is just unfortunate. do NOT rate Dwayne Johnson whatsoever. Much like everything else to do with money, you pay for the name not the quality.

What Tate said. I don't have to like all of it (fuck you, Tout) but WWE are soooooo slick.

Of course they are. They put all their stock into entertainment now and bad acting falls under that scope lol. As a businessman you don't give a shit about individual wants and needs, you are there to make money and you make a brand name and use it in every area you can to milk it til it's dry or can no longer serve its purpose. It doesn't really happen over here with out wrestlers but over there they have a much bigger superstar status so why not exploit them? For business, I know why it happens. Doesn't mean there is any talent behind any of it, just selfish business decisions.

We know there is no talent when the film concepts are always bone dried tried and tested, nothing innovative or original. You need good actors for that...

Granted when he first did The Scorpion King it was alright, but then he went and did The Toothfairy, The Game Plan, and other Disney movies, which he's not cut out for. But Dwayne lately has been putting out some great movies. Grid Iron Gang was good, Fast 5 was good, Snitch, which i saw over the weekend was pretty good as well. Plus he has GI Joe looks good.
