I haven't watched any of the matches, but read the results. The results pretty much were what I expected, with the exception of a match or two. Was surprised that Team Funk/Team Rhodes Scholar was left off the show though, probably not a bad idea either lol. But what are everyone else's thoughts?

Pretty dull PPV but I was in good company so didn't mind. Crowd were pretty dead for the final two matches and not really very lively throughout.
Punk/Taker gets Match of the Night by default although Brock performed well in his match against The Bore, oops, I mean The Game. [/wit]
Paul Heyman gets MVP.
I danced to Diddy's entire set so that may or may not find its way onto Facebook in video form.

I have to say this Mania was underwhelmin'...it lacked that "Mania magic" from years passed...it also did nothin' to kickstart the "new season" but I'm sure that will happen tonight on RAW...
hopefully Henry is inserted back into the World title scene against Del Rio...
Punk/Taker was indeed MotN...it sucked ALL the energy out of the crowd...although I'm an ol' schooler that believes World title matches are the main event...in this instance Punk/Taker should have definitely closed out the show...
Rock is off to film "Hercules" so it was obvious he was goin' to drop the title...everyone Knows I'm a Rock mark but in-ring his run DID NOTHING to add to the company...

I keep seeing people being disappointed or feeling that it was underwhelming. Why is this a surprise to anyone anymore lol?

It's not. That's why, when something good happens, people are usually pleasantly surprised. Also quite liked Daniel Bryan/Kane vs. Ziggles/Big E. Bryan always manages to make the most of his time and is my favourite overall.

Danielson is just an awesome wrestler full stop. You don't even get to see half of what he can do on shitty WWE. A shame really.

More people was looking forward to the Punk/Taker match than any other match on the card. I posted it on the facebook group thread, that this match would have that Old School Good vs. Evil feel.

I agree with Billy's two points wholeheartedly...
I'm SOOO glad that Punk/Taker feud is over now...although it was a good bit of storytellin' by both men...it did severely lack good wrestlin'...somethin' that Punk excels at doin'...you guys think we'll be seein' Punk/Cena now for the title...?

Just caught the show, although I lacked the full context because I haven't watched wwe in years. Punk/Taker was the strongest match for sure. Weakest was Jericho/Fandango... can't imagine what possessed them to put such a raw rookie against a living legend like Jericho at Mania. The kid looked unsteady and unprepared, even with Jericho putting him over like crazy. Other notes... It's sad to see Kane needing to be carried, but Daniel Bryan does it very well... The epilogue after the end of the Rock/Cena match was better than the match itself... Trump being inducted into HoF is a travesty, but amazing to see Foley, Booker, Backlund and Sammartino up there.

Just for the record Fandango isn't a "true" rookie...he's actually Johnny Curtis...but yes the character is horrible...
I'd also like to point out how GREAT physically Brock looked...he looked like the old Brock from years ago when he was a monster...

Yea but Brock no longer looks like a monster, he's only won 1 match since his return. It would have been more effective, at least IMO, if he was undefeated while still dominating everyone he touches.

Yeah, I guess Curtis has enough years in developmental territories under his belt not to be called a rookie, but he still looked like a rank amateur next to Jericho.

The character just doesn't translate well yet...it was his first match so in time with some tweaking WWE could make it work.

The character just doesn't translate well yet... When has one of those vignette-heavy characters ever translated well? XD Keeping in the theme, I didn't watch WM. Instead I saw the new episode of Bar Rescue. Much more entertaining IMO.

Raw was fun. The fact that The Rock was unable to attend was a pleasant surprise. Back to WrestleMania, I enjoyed the Fandango/Jericho match for what it was and do enjoy Fandango's gimmick somewhat. King over-pronouncing his name every single time, not so much. Have gone back to my old Jerry Lawler hating ways. Was a shame there were no backstage skits. I know others seem to loathe those, but I'm always up for silliness.
