with the clear breakup of Heyman/Punk does this clear up for CM's spot with Heyman to be filled by the returnin' Rob Van Dam...there is NO denyin' that RVD is a Heyman guy from way way back and it is Known that RVD sucks on the mic...thoughts...?

He's sucked full stop for years already. Why even bring him back now? Is there anything new to see with him? But if it brings in a quick buck, why not exploit it.

I think that spot would better be served by a younger talent, someone who needs to get over but can't. Heyman would be a great speaker for Ryback, they should never let Ryback speak on the mic again. Monster characters should never speak. When Undertaker was a monster they had Paul Bearer, the same with Kane and Khali they had talkers for them. Mark Henry, is ok on the mic, but even in the early stages he had Teddy Long speaking for him. So why not give that spot to Ryback, it's not like they are doing anything else with him at the moment, other than squashing jobbers, and not winning PPV matches.

Well this "spot" left empty by Punk is a main event/upper card spot so slotting RVD only makes sense...its clear they want to push him giving the video he was given about his return...

yea but RVD doesn't need it. He's already established besides I don't think the fans will boo RVD, remember WWE tried a Heel RVD during the Invasion angle and that didn't work. Ryback could still be a Main Event person if he has the right mouth piece.

You could put the Pope with Heyman and he'll get heel heat..

Which Pope are you talking about? I might cheer him if a certain one joined his team.

Also you have to keep in mind Punk was an established star when his run with Heyman started...he was paired with Punk in order to quickly get Punk heel heat...of course this is all moot if RVD isn't even going to have a heel run on his return..

He has said he is doing a 'special attraction' part-time schedule similar to Brock's. I don't have the link to the interview but PWTorch had snippets of it on their website.
I would reckon he will have a brief spell in the top title scene while his return is hot, and then take on a more Jericho-like role in feuding with the young guys and putting them over. Unlike Jericho, I don't think RVD has that brilliant ability to 'get his heat back' via promos and the such, so that is where Heyman would come in handy.
Otherwise, I don't really think fans would want to jeer RVD.
I think if he is motivated he will be able to turn his work ethic back up to 10 and wow us all. He also knocked TNA in aforementioned interview and said he was unmotivated there, which might explain why he was supposedly so bland (I wouldn't know as I haven't watched TNA).
The Pope does a perfectly good job of getting heel heat on himself.
But Heyman could get my cat over as a heel.
