Who'd think that Goldust (my alltime favourite) would be main eventing RAW in 2013 and winning the tag titles, all while being hailed as the highlight of the past handful of shows? He's super over and doing a really good job, just like he said he would. And by his own accounts over the past few years, he has been asking for this, but Vince kept telling him 'no'... it wouldn't draw. Pfft. I guess someone at WWE deserves credit for finally showing faith (Triple H, maybe?).
The Rhodes vs. Shield tag matches from Battleground and last night's RAW are both worth checking out.
Now I'm just curious to see if WWE will go ahead with the next part of Dustin's dream, which is Goldust vs. Cody at WrestleMania. I think the tag team will implode at some point, as all teams do these day, and it'll lead to a grudge match on a PPV, but not sure WWE have the patience to stretch it out to WrestleMania 30.
Good thing I've got this to look forward to because everything else in WWE is dire just now.
