The newly reopened gym is busy today, meaning the camera crew need to be extra careful not to get in the way. Clanging is heard everywhere as people get into their weight training.
Among them is Raze, bench pressing in the free weights section. The bar bends slightly due to the sheer amount of weight added to it. Exhaling hard, Raze pushes on, his arms bulging as he works through his unforgiving regimen.
Finishing his set, he manages to secure the weights as an employee helps guide the bar onto the small struts meant to hold it. Sitting up, the former World champion takes a minute, wiping sweat off his brow and arms with a towel. Stealing a peek at the weights, enthusiasts would estimate it to be a challenging 400 lbs. Hard going, to say the least.
The camera goes back to the man himself, his dark blue tank drenched in sweat as his chest and arms have been put through their paces.
Raze: So we're not doing this after, eh? Fine. Dragon, understand right now that you picked the wrong man to try to scare. I know how you work, and last time we faced off, you were taken down very decisively. Bad idea, then, to come sniffing about me.
He picks up a sports bottle and takes a quick swig of water and gets back to talking.
Raze: You're free to start a fight with me, but it's not one you can finish. I still have the old Raze in me, of course I do. If you have even half the sense you were born with, you'd let it lie. Ask anyone what happens to those who bring it out in me. Consider this your fair warning; go down that path and nothing will be left of you. It's definitely in your best interest not to provoke that part of me.
Setting the now closed bottle back down, he reaches into a small bag and takes out a handful of thick white powder. Rubbing it into his hands, his palms and fingers turn white. With a clap, he causes a tiny dust cloud to fly out.
Raze: You call yourself a reaper and a heart of darkness. You're also in the unenviable position of going up against me. I'm the man that even legends are very careful about challenging. Face me as I am now and I'll beat you. Bring out my bad side and I'll pick what's left of you out of my teeth.
In our match, I have three options; I can pin you, I can force you to give up, or I can do enough that the referee is forced to stop the match and award it to me. You, on the other hand, have two very simple steps to follow in order to see another match.
He holds up his index finger as he counts along, followed by the middle finger to highlight the two steps.
Raze: Run far. Run fast.
Turning, he lays back down and resumes his herculean workout.
