Standing before a generic black backdrop, dressed in his usual black clothing, is Raze. Not seen since his blowoff match with Killjoy, the man once known as "The Dread King" looks fine, save for a stern expression.
Raze: Let me get right to it. Alex Cross, I said this clearly before, but not enough for you to understand, it seems. I'm not too old to go for another title. At all. As for lazy? I worked a hell of a lot harder than you do now when I was gunning for gold. I left it all in the ring, never held back and definitely never threw away a match!
Barely pausing for breath, an indignant Jericho continues.
Raze: So I'll try this again. I do not challenge for titles, because I do not want to. I took on Eva for the Television title simply to help ratings, and help, it did. I didn't ask for that title shot, I was asked to take it. Have you ever been asked to challenge a champion just to help the company? Hmm? Ever been asked to lace up the boots because you were needed?
His voice hardening as he speaks, a clearly annoyed former World champion managed to stay on point.
Raze: that's why I came back. I didn't do it for me. I didn't return to chase gold or to fulfill some personal goal, I did it because I wanted to do my bit to help turn things around!
With a slow nod, he begins to calm himself. To him, the call out was unnecessary, but had to be addressed.
Raze: Unlike you, boy, I have nothing left to prove. Now you can stand there and tell me you don't either, but we'd both know that's crap. We all know why you pursue the championship you're after. You need to know you can do it. I see a lot of potential in you, but you won't realise it by playing games. Take that on board, ignore it, I don't care.
Point is, you need it, I don't. Since the company is looking much better than it did just a few short months ago, I think my work is just about done here. It doesn't look like I'm needed much now, so I won't be around much longer. I just have one or two things to take care of first.
Taking a moment, a very different, very much in control Jericho Cross orders his thoughts. Samson was right; this is a different Jericho.
Raze: Red Dragon, I see you've found someone else to annoy. Good. By pulling away from me, you might last longer than a month. I think we can both agree this arrangement works better for you in the long run.
Kolic... yours was an interesting decision. I've been there, I can relate. No one wants saving, so tear them down instead. If I remember rightly, you were actually a victim of that. I'll be honest, I don't know what to make of it. On one hand, I'm not happy with what you did to my friends, but on the other hand, I need to let them fight their own battles. So what can I say here?
Scratching his head, he pushed his hair back and exhales loudly.
Raze: You backed the wrong horse. Sure, the others weren't always there to pull you out of a tight spot, but they did it for you more than for me. Do I have a problem with that? No! Sometimes, you have to just go it alone. Too much help can turn into hand holding. It's why Slaughterhouse couldn't last. Why New Era fell apart, and why Warpath will too. It's also why you're in the mess you're in now.
Beginning to pace back and forth, he puts a hand to his chin, stroking his beard. He couldn't help pacing, forcing the camera to follow his movements.
Raze: You became too dependent on them, Kolic. So when they didn't appear at your side, you started to question their loyalty. You did, didn't you? Be honest now. You can't do that, you have to know that other people have shit to do. If you can't handle that, and can't take a beating, why come back? Clan Mayhem will not take you where you want to be, no matter how badly you want it to happen. Ditch them before you're dragged under. It's not a case of if, but when they do. Take your hits like a man and fix this before it's too late. Believe me, Kolic, you'll know should that time come.
Having said all that, he briefly puts a hand to the camera to stop it following him as he steps out of frame and exits the room. Faced with an empty location, the camera cuts to black.
