Sitting looking out a window within a small coffee shop dressed in a light gray suit is the manager of the current Women's Champion James Strong. A few rows behind him dressed in blue jeans and a black polo shirt if the towering man known only as Payne. James ignores the presence of the man and instead focuses on the cup of coffee sitting in front of him.
"No, no, no. I don't give a shit about that! When the Vice-President says jump, the fucker had best jump!"
The high pitched female voice trailed into the shop seconds ahead of the blonde bombshell it belonged to. Devotion Profit-Lord struts in with a cellphone to her ear. Taking a seat at the first open table, she places her designer purse onto the table and removes her designer sunglasses, placing them on top of the purse.
Devotion: Just make it happen. I don't want to hear about problems, just solutions!
James smiles to himself as he takes a drink.
It's hard to find good help nowadays isn't it?
James looks towards the VP.
My apologies ma'am. James Strong.
The youngest child of John Profit holds up her index finger gesturing for James to hold on.
Devotion: (speaking into phone) Call me back with solutions, Frank.
She removes the phone from her ear, ending the call. Looking to the man in front of her, she gives him the once over.
Devotion: Mocha latte grande with whip creme please.
James politely leans back in his chair taking a small drink from the cup still resting in his hand.
Devotion: Well...what are you waiting for? The tip comes after the service. Geesh...
James smiles as he sets the cup down.
I don't work here ma'am. I actually represent YOUR Women's Champion Amanda Reynolds.
With a scrutinizing glare, Devotion browses through her mental Rolodex to register who this man truly was.
Devotion: I didn't realize Ms. Reynolds had representation. Please excuse me.
He waves it off with a smile.
No worries Ms. Profit-Lord, our relationship is still in its infant stage if you will.
Devotion: Yes it is.
A waitress makes her way over and Devotion gives her order.
Devotion: So...enjoying England so far, Mister Strong?
I must say it's a change from the states but I have enjoyed myself so far. Though I haven't been here long I have managed to see a few interesting sights when not busy. What about you? I'm sure this is almost like a second home to you.
Devotion: Second home? That would be Hong Kong. But England has never done me wrong. Besides the company always does good numbers whenever we're here.
I would imagine so as many appearances as this company has made here over the years. Not to mention the influx of great talent this place has given to the GZW as well. Icons and champions alike.
James takes a drink from his cup as he looks at the young lady in front of him.
Do you mind if I ask you a question Ms. Profit-Lord?
Devotion: By all means.
The waitress returns with Devotion's drink, which she places on the table in front of her.
What is the status of my clients title? I've heard the rumblings from the announcers of how the division is no longer active and that Ms. Reynolds is simply carrying around a piece of worthless tin. Certainly this isn't the case since my client has never been beaten for that title.
She goes to taste her cup of Joe but pulls back quickly as it is far too hot.
Devotion: There has been quite of bit of chatter concerning the GZW2K1 Women's Championship. One that has most recently gotten to my office.
So their is no official ruling on the status of the division then am I correct?
Devotion: No. None that I am currently aware of, Mister Strong. But tell me this, what is the glory of being a champion of an all but non-existent division?
Their is no argument from me on that issue. Though if you'll remember my client was attacked during a match from a group of people who if memory serves correctly were not under contract at the time.
Devotion: Job hazards, Mister Strong. I'm sure your client was and is quite aware of that...
Hazards from other employees Ms. Profit-Lord yes my client is well aware are possible. Honestly it's what makes this business go around. But hazards from outside forces who aren't employees of any branch of the GZG is something no one should have to worry about. But I fear we're getting away from the issue at hand.
Devotion: Yes we are. Those issues have no current bearing on Ms. Reynolds or yourself.
Exactly. Should the decision be made to close the Women's division my client would gladly relinquish the title, though it would only be far that she be compensated for this matter. Perhaps a shot at the W.C.E.K. TV Title?
Devotion: Hmmm, perhaps. Though I feel that your client could garner more interest if she were to want that title shot.
All my client desires is the chance to prove she belongs inside that ring with anyone in this company. Getting a chance to prove that against men and women would more than catch her interest in a title and division.
Devotion: Not to tell you how to manage your client, as I was once a successful manager myself, but I think it would be in her best interest if you were to advise her to go out and prove she's ready.
James nods his head in agreement.
A subject I have breached with my client many times prior to our arrival in London yesterday and one I plan on addressing again prior to Storm.
The second in command of GZW2K1 silent nods her head before sipping at the still hot beverage.
Devotion: Very good. In the meantime I will personally look into the matter of the Women's division. I can't promise you anything but I will see about doing what is best for business.
That is all anyone can ask from an otherwise busy woman such as yourself.
Devotion: Flattery. The hallmark of any good manager.
James lifts his cup to the young woman.
A well deserved comment madam Vice President.
Devotion raises her own cup in mock salute.
Devotion: You'll go far, Mister Strong.
The sky's the limit.
He finishes off his cup before setting it back on the table.
I won't keep you from your busy schedule Ms. Profit-Lord. Thank you for the talk.
James stands up from his seat and buttons his coat up.
Madam Vice President.
He nods his head in her direction before extending his right hand. She places her own right hand into his.
Devotion: Anytime, Mister Strong.
Mr. Payne, we have business to attend to. We must not keep our friends waiting.
He turns back to the woman in front of him.
Have a good day Ms. Profit-Lord.
