Head Booker, Icon Lady Eva Hikari, and 1 more like this

Instead of an indoor location, Kolic has chosen a spot in Atlanta's Piedmont Park to deliver his speech. It seems the nearly constant rain of the past few days has held off for now, though that could change at any time. He is, of course, prepared: an Atlanta Braves hat, thin plaid button-up shirt, and jeans to protect from any light showers, and an umbrella if things get worse. He makes his address from an amphitheater-style area around a pond, with the camera placed on the ground beside him.
Kolic: Bravo, Lady Hikari. Despite facing a suddenly stacked deck, you got the victory over me. Can't say I'm not impressed. And yes, before you take that the wrong way, I do mean that sincerely. I'm not one of those two dimensional, paper-thin heels who gives no credit and calls every loss "merely a setback". However...for me, anyway, it's no longer about victories and defeats. Winning every battle between the bells just doesn't matter that much when you want the organization that records them to no longer exist. So yeah, you beat me fair and square, and then managed to fight the Clan to a draw. Good job. And yes, that time it was sarcastic.
He smirks into the camera.
Kolic: Are you three going to be able to do that every time? Will you be able to keep up the strain of bailing each other out whenever the invaders show up? Oh, I highly doubt it. It wore me out trying to save all of you guys from them, and that was back when I still cared to do so. Yes, there was a time I thought it was the right thing to keep them from tearing this place down, just so it's on the record. Anyway...it looks like Lady Munin and I will have a match for however long it lasts, with Tamer and Eva showing up to "save the day". And at the next show, I imagine it'll be me and Tamer just to complete the trifecta. Let me ask you guys something. Why is it that you see me as being on the losing end of this one? Let's say it ends well for you, and the three heroes of GZW kick the invading force out for good. You'll get the accolades, lots of cheers, blah blah blah...and then what? Eva will have a dead title around her waist and little competition for it. The Warpath will do the exact same thing that the Clan has been doing, except they'll hoard your precious belts for their trouble. Leon will hold the title forever, insisting that he is the only one who can keep the company afloat, not recognizing that some form of change at the top, the masses will get bored and put no investment in his title matches. Really, if you think about it, I'm giving you guys a slightly easier way out. Heh...
He laughs a bit, as he makes a mental connection he didn't expect. He picks up his phone and does some searching as he talks.
Kolic: You know what this is a lot like? The collapse of the Roman Empire in the 5th century. Well, the Western branch, anyway. There are many similarities: corrupt leaders, persecution of those who disagreed with said rulers, pretty much general wrongness all around with a populace unable or unwilling to change anything. Do you know what else GZW and the Romans had in common? Invaders. They had the Huns and Germanic tribes, we have Clan Mayhem. Oh...and look at this, it seems the Roman Empire had trouble with some of the people they assimilated. Germanic people who had, as this says, "dubious loyalty" toward Rome and contributed to its collapse from within. Not to mention the "Christian threat" they wanted to put down once they went into full-on Empire mode. Boy, history does repeat itself in weird and unforeseen ways, doesn't it? Speaking of history...
Tamer, that was a moving bit of melodrama where you mourned the "death" of Marcus Gilespie, as though I had stabbed my "good" self in the heart and only this evil being remained. Let me clear up some things for you. You knew me before I was born again, and even though I changed greatly from that person afterward, some things remained. One is that I despise being pushed around by those more powerful than me, and another is that I care little for others' opinions of who I am. Did you suddenly forget all that because I was the fan favorite for years? Or, did you just think that I would bend to them forever? That was your main mistake, Joshua, letting your assumptions become objective fact and decrying anything that didn't fit into that box. Maybe you forgot or chose to ignore what you already knew? I don't know which, but I guess it doesn't really matter anymore. It's really nice that you're portraying yourself as my distaff counterpart, still fighting the evil of GZW but for the "right" reasons, but please don't kid yourself. I've been carrying on that losing fight for five years. You've been here for a couple months. My guess is, you won't hold out nearly as long as I did.
Kolic looks up at the sky and sees darker clouds roll in.
Kolic: Well, it looks like I should be going. Munin, let's chat when I'm in jolly ol' England and there's time to address your many, many concerns. For now...enjoy thinking you're on the right side of history. There will be plenty of time to mourn after the empire collapses.
He reaches over and switches off the camera.
