The camera opens on an empty underground old school wrestling ring.A single light illuminates the ring leaving everything else cast in darkness.
On the fringe of darkness we can see a tall black figure in a black suit.
He stands silently for a moment before bending down to delicately put the needle to a record spinning steadily in front of him. Ladies and gentlemen by saliva bleeds through the speakers, and with the music the picture we see on camera.
The empty ring flashes to the same ring on a lively saturday night, with a wild audience and none other than Munin making her way through the crowd towards the stage.
*Ladies and gentlemen please
Would you bring your attention to me?*
She makes a sharp figure wearing a black dress suit with matching black tights and polished heels. A crisp white dress shirt and her long black hair french twisted under a black Stetson hat completes the outfit.
*For a feast for your eyes to see
An explosion of catastrophe*
Her painted red lips are tilted into a smile as crowd parts for her.
*Like nothing you've ever seen before
Watch closely as I open this door
Your jaws will be on the floor
After this you'll be begging for more*
Munin makes it ringside in short order and takes her time up the steps, before sliding gracefully into the ring.
Welcome to the show
Please come inside
Walking to the center she takes the vintage silver microphone with a smile, and the music cuts.
"Ladies and gentlemen..."
The picture snaps onto the crowded miniature arena packed full of fans wild with excitement. Munin stands before them in silence for a moment waiting for the crowd settle down.
"I would like to thank you for having me here tonight as your guest announcer, and for your patience as I say a few words to my less than worthy future opponent...Kolic."
Holding the microphone away from her mouth to laugh as the crowd boos and heckles.
"Ok, ok, yes I know, that last promo was pathetic. Lets see if we can show him a better way."
"Hello Kolic, how about we have that chat as you so quaintly put it. I would love to say that I'm surprisingly disappointed in your promotion of our match, but I just can't bring myself to be all that surprised. I've had a long time to get used to disappointment when it comes to you. Years of watching your flash in the pan tactics that always seem to fizzle out long before the bang. I never thought this latest flash of yours would be any different. The only thing that's really changed is that this time you crossed a line thats not so easy to cross again."
Face somber she rocks back in forth on her heels. The shiny black doc martens reflecting the stage light that have been trained on her deceptively small form.
"That being said how about we address YOUR pressing concerns."
Her sudden mischievous grin breaks through her previous seriousness, and with a dramatic flourish she pulls a small stack of index cards from her suit pocket.
" Number one, blah blah why do you think that I'm on the losing side? Well as you so aptly put it, history tends to repeat itself..especially around here. Is it likely going to happen further down the road? More than likely, but right now that's not my circus not my monkeys, so moving on."
One white index card flashes in the light as she chucks it over her shoulder.
"Number two sure you guys can be heros blah blah blah Roman Empire."
Lowering the card she mouths "Roman Empire, wow" to the audience. Rolling her eyes she continues her address.
"Have you ever heard me call myself a hero? No, and you never will. Don't make the mistake of thinking you are the new great villain of GZW. You're nothing more than a dishonorable wise cracking git that has two speeds: zero and half assed. Why Eva ever wasted her time with the likes of you and shielded you is beyond me."
Smiling with a malicious curl of her lips, she continues in a sweet voice laced with poison.
"That's right shielded you."
Her voice slips into a slight British accent, as she begins to pace.
"Play nice with boy Nin he has potential. Don't try to show him what his insides look like even though he choked me out, he didn't mean it."
pausing she turns sharply to face the camera with an intense glare. Her voice no devoid of accent lashes out like a whip.
"And for what? So that you can show your true petulant colors, turn against your friends and allies, and then treat it as a joke of little importance. Let all the hype you built up fizzle out to nothing?"
Chuckling Munin shakes her head at the camera.
"No Kolic you will never be the end of GZW. You're to boring to be the end. Truly bringing this company down would just take too much effort on your part. In fact it still truly puzzles me that everyone seems to be asking why you did it. The big betrayal, but I don't particularly care why. In fact I'm starting to feel like I'm kicking a dead horse by saying this, but oh well I'm sure I'll get sick of saying I told you so eventually."
A smarting jeers and laughter break out over the background murmur of the crowd. Causing Munin to shake her head once more with a short laugh. Her demeanor turned to saccharine once more.
"I personally believe the real question should be directed towards Clan Mayhem."
"Kolic? Seriously?"
The derision and genuine puzzlement is clear in both her face and her voice.
"Why on earth would you work with him? You've lost more heat with him than without him."
"Hey, I'm not complaining. This makes my job of keeping this big wheel turning a whole lot easier. In fact if the twit hadn't betrayed a dear friend and myself I might even thank him. But he did betray me and so here we are...which leads me to your third concern kolic, or should I say your lack of concern."
She grows quiet for a moment, before ripping the last of the index cards, and dropping them to scatter across the ground like dandelion seeds.
"You aren't looking in the right direction Kolic, and for that I actually am surprisingly disappointed in you. One of the few things I've always credited you with is not being stupid enough to underestimate me, but here you are looking everywhere else but me."
The intensity from before is back with full force and then some. This was not her boasting or cracking jokes, this was a raw warning.
"I've got news for you sunshine, that's a big mistake. You see non like Eva and Tamer I have no sentiment where you're concerned, no angsty confliction of emotions over the friendship that uses to be, no second thoughts over whether your choices are my fault, and no mercy."
Cold eyes stare into the camera devoid of emotion, and there is no room to doubt that she is more than willing to go the extra mile.
"No mercy at all, in fact when we step into that ring I am going to stretch the rules to their limits, and if I can find a way to make your life hell while you're in the ring I'll take it. When I step into that ring it is with the intent of making out fight the fight of the night. Maybe even a fight worthy of the record books."
Her smile is the smile one might imagine the fox would give a rabbit. A predatory grin that leaves no questions about what's in store for the rabbit.
"You started this chapter of the story Kolic, and you will see it to the end if I have to drag you there kicking and screaming. In fact I'm kinda hoping for the screaming part."
The crowd breaks from its quiet murmuring into a roar at her words, a with a flourish of her hand Munin signals for the music to start once more as a backdrop to her final words.
"We'll I don't know about you Kolic but I feel like our little chat had brought us both to a deeper understanding."
A chuckles escapes her with a devil may care smile that the crowd eats up.
"Now how about we get this party started?"
With an all encompassing hand gesture, Munin addresses the crowd with a formal announcers voice. She can just be heard over the music and the roar of the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen I present to you-"
The picture abruptly snaps to the empty version of the same room. A vintage silver microphone swings ever so slightly in the center of the ring, and a records needle moves silently over the inner ring of a rotating vinyl.
