Okay, so tell me again why we're meeting like this Amanda?
Stood face to face inside a local gym the former dual champion Alex Cross and Women's Champion Amanda Reynolds didn't appear to be very comfortable around one another. After the recent developments it was easy to understand why. Alex crossed his arms in front of his chest as Amanda paced back and forth in a small line.
It's about what happened the other night.
I thought we agreed to never speak on that again. It happened, we can't change it, so let's just move on with our lives.
Amanda finally stopped pacing and looked at Alex.
I did until your crazy ass girlfriend decided to try and kill me in the locker room!
Let's be fair for a moment Amanda. If Munin wanted to kill you I'd be visiting her in prison right now. Instead I'm talking to you and she's off probably watching Supernatural or Smallville.
Regardless Alex she assaulted me!
What the hell did you think would happen if she found out Amanda? I told you back at the restaurant that if Munin found out she'd kill us. Did you think I was blowing smoke up your ass or something? Hell, the only reason I've been spared so far is probably because I haven't seen her since it happened! Look around you Amanda!
He pointed at the camera off in the distance showing Amanda they weren't alone.
Did you really think no one would know? We were in the restaurant where the wrestlers and staff were staying and it was after the show went off the air. We don't live in a bubble Amanda everything we do, everything we say is seen or heard by EVERYONE! Three tables over were referees enjoying a meal. Two tables over was a couple of the developmental roster enjoying drinks. A fucking cameraman with a big ass boom mic was sitting at the bar! Did you really not see any of them? I wanted to think no one would find out but deep down I knew that before we could get out of that restaurant the whole damn company would know what happened. Once again guess who was right?
Alex I...
Just stop Amanda.
He let out a sigh as he turned his back on the young woman.
I don't blame you for what happened so save your apologies.
He turned back around to look at her.
I know I said some things that might have come off as me making a move on you. I put myself out there and perhaps I led you on so I don't blame you for what happened. Honestly, if I were in your shoes I might have done the same thing I don't know. This ones on me not you. Look, I'll talk to Nin and see if I can smooth this over. At least get the bounty off your head that she no doubt placed upon it.
Can I ask you a question Alex?
He nodded his head.
How could you be with someone like that? How could you be with a woman that was so temperamental so on edge so.
She paused for a moment as if choosing her words.
I'm just gonna say it. Bitchy! I kiss you and that crazy bitch thinks it gives her a license to attack me outside of the ring? She's lucky I don't press charges on her or get her fired at the very least! Alex you're the exact opposite of her. Even though you don't show it you're a great man with a kind heart. You actually give a shit about people despite what everything seems to think about you. And yet you're with someone like her! Why?
Maybe you don't know me as well as you think you do Amanda.
He looked down at the watch on his left wrist.
I've got a meeting to get to before my scheduled promo time so we'll have to finish this discussion later.
Without another word he turned and ran off leaving Amanda behind. Seeing the empty room she crossed her arms in front of her and shook her head.
That's the thing Alex I do know you, it's you that doesn't know yourself.
With that she headed in the same direction as Alex leaving the room empty once more.
