The young Amanda Reynolds paced back and forth inside what appeared to be an empty conference room. Still dressed in her workout gear she looks down at the phone in her right hand and shakes her head. The name "Stephon Davis" can be clearly seen on the caller ID.
Not happening Stephon, sorry. Not right now.
She pressed the ignore button sending it straight to voice mail before sighing and crossing her arms in front of her. The door at the front of the room opened as James stepped inside shadowed by the ever quiet Payne.
Sorry to keep you waiting Ms. Reynolds. I trust you didn't have to wait long?
Actually I just got here. I had some things I needed to handle before I got here so it's probably only been a couple of minutes.
That's good. Please, have a seat.
He motioned for the young lady to have a seat as he and Payne sat down towards the head of the table a couple of seats away from Amanda.
How can I help you Ms. Reynolds?
I've got a huge match coming up in a couple of weeks and I need some help. Some things have....
James held up his right hand to stop her from talking.
The situation involving Mr. Cross, Mr. Davis, and Ms. Vaughn I assume?
Yeah. That one.
Ms. Reynolds.
James sat forward in his seat interlocking his fingers as he does before resting them on the table in front of him.
Might I make a suggestion?
Please.
Ignore Mr. Cross he has much more important matters to tend to. He has a main event match he must be prepared for at Battlefield and he also has the matter of Mr. Corbin and the upcoming Heatwave match. You are the last thing he needs to be worrying about right now. Do you agree?
Yes but..
Once more he held his right hand up before placing it back in front of him.
No buts. Mr. Cross is a busy man and he need not worry himself with you right now. As for Mr. Davis and Ms. Vaughn are they not in your upcoming match for the W.C.E.K. TV Title?
She nodded her head.
Then I suggest you use all that anger you have for Ms. Vaughn to your advantage. Make her pay for her transgressions inside the ring where you are free from the risk of legal action being placed on you. As for Mr. Davis perhaps putting him in his place inside that same ring will teach him a far larger lesson than he could learn elsewhere. Do you understand me Ms. Reynolds?
Once more she nodded her head.
Good. Allow the others to destroy themselves while you worry about the two you feel have wronged you. Should any of the others decide to take issue with you then I suggest you handle them as well. For the meantime though use that anger and hatred to your advantage. Perhaps you should take the old adage about a woman scorned to heart Ms. Reynolds.
He leaned back in his seat and made a temple of his hands as he looked at the young woman across from him.
Please don't embarrass me Ms. Reynolds.
I'll do my best.
That's all I ask. Now if you have nothing else I have a meeting I need to get to.
She stood up and stepped out of the room leaving James and Payne alone in the room.
See if Mr. Cross has arrived yet would you Mr. Payne?
He nodded before standing up and leaving James alone.
Things are coming along nicely I must say.
The door opened once more as Payne and Alex stepped inside.
Have a seat Mr. Cross we have so much to discuss.
The scene faded as Alex and Payne sat down.
