Somewhere in England we find Kolic standing in front of a nondescript hallway completely devoid of GZW promotional materials. It seems appropriate for someone who seeks an end to the company to avoid advertising for them as much as he can. He's dressed to blend in to the fog with a gray t-shirt and dark jeans, but the colors don't accurately reflect his mocking attitude.
Kolic: Y'know, for someone who's apparently never done anything of substance in his GZW career, you guys sure love to talk about me. Granted, I did play a more active role in some of your lives than normal, but I shouldn't be worth so much of your screen time if I'm such a failure here. Maybe, if I'm so inconsequential and forgettable, you guys shouldn't spend so much of your focus on me? Unless...oh no, that can't possibly be the case. There's no way you'd see me as a real threat if you're proclaiming to the Heavens that I don't matter, right?
He chuckles to himself.
Kolic: Kidding aside, the fact that you're mentioning me at all means I struck a nerve. Well, thousands of nerves in Alex's case. Wasn't that a "shock", buddy? Obviously the thousands of volts in your chest, but also the fact that I helped my former best friend and now mortal enemy get a victory at your expense. I would say it's nothing personal, but that wouldn't be true. You talk of how we crossed paths, when it's been more of you double-crossing. Remember when the sLaughterhouse was running rampant, and Devotion and Jimmy Williams stabbed you in the back? Did you go after them, maybe try to take away the power they'd stolen? Nope, you got angry at everybody *except* them. I was the only one who tried to stand up to her rule, despite you having a much better reason to take her down, and everyone saw how well that went. Before you drank deep of the dark side's waters, I saw you as a staunch ally whenever I came against the worst of GZW. Maybe even as a friend. But then GZW corrupted you, and you became what you are now: an aimless soul in the ruthless cold, dying to be whole. That makes you part of the system, and despite who you were, I will have to strike down who you are.
He leans back against the wall and puts one foot up on it.
Kolic: Oh, but who embodies the system better than the most successful current wrestler on the roster, then condescending champion on his throne, Leonhardt Corbin? The man who has probably destroyed more careers than kneecap meniscus tears and painkillers combined. Now, Leonhardt, if you're going to talk about my hypocrisies, then we should discuss yours as well. If I'm so irrelevant, why do you see the need to devote five minutes of your precious time to breaking me down verbally? Really, don't you know not to feed the trolls? You really shouldn't give me a spotlight if I'm not worthy of it. Or...do you think that if you yell at me loud and long enough, I'll slink away and hide? Please. Not that I listen to your insults anyway. I do love, however, how hard you try to rewrite our history. You say you "always" saw me as someone who skates by on the minimum effort. This coming from the guy who was willing to give up his career if he ever even appeared to turn on the Defiance when we fought Davina's crew, who had exactly zero problem welcoming me as a friend into his academy just one year ago. What changed, Leon? Did someone run fast enough to travel back in time and change our history to the point where you completely forgot about that? I know you wouldn't have even let me inside your dojo if you didn't respect me to some degree. That's why all of your words are so cheap, so I guess you have to use so many of them to get your point across.
So hey, maybe I'll take you up on your open challenge to have someone other than Alex come after you for your belt. Wouldn't that be funny? The guy who wants to see GZW crash and burn holding its most important title. Oh, wouldn't that be a jolly ol' time? What would be your reaction then? The guy whom you claim isn't even worthy of janitorial duty at the Trax defeats you for the belt. For now, though, we and four partners each will square off in your base of operations. What we lack in team chemistry and experience, we more than make up for in not wanting to hospitalize each other. Yeah, the Clan and I don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, but at least we have a common goal. Do all of you? Are you going to team up to fight the greater threat like the Avengers, or fall apart to in-fighting like...well, the Avengers, but earlier in the movie. I guess we'll see, huh?
He stands back up and points his gaze down a bit, shading it to a degree of ominousness.
Kolic: (singing) I had strings, but now I'm free...
He smiles far wider than he should.
Kolic: ...there are no strings on me.
