Munin stared at the latest Alex Cross promo with stricken eyes.
Her previous happiness shattered around her, and with each word that left his mouth the pieces cut her heart a little deeper.
"He didn't sleep with her?"
As crazy as it maybe to some Munin knew that while Alex may lie to himself all day he wouldn't out right lie to her.
So what did that mean? She had taken the first step to moving on believing that he had already done more than that himself.
But...did this really change anything? What did he think would happen when he spent the night with the girl who had previously kissed him?
It was like she was up against that wall being choked all over again, but this time it was emotional.
A whimper escaped her as she realized that her face was wet with silent tears. With a shaking hand she grabbed for her phone and said a silent prayer of thanks for speed dial.
"Evie-"
Her voice broke on a sob that couldn't quite make it's way out.
"I need you."
