---Backstage---
(The scene opens up backstage in the halls. We pan over and see Jayne “The Desperado” Remington leaned against a wall. Most of the backstage crew our avoiding this man who looks like he walked right out of a Western film. And in any case it’s always a little unnerving when someone’s identity is concealed. The Desperado looks over at the camera and in his eyes you can almost see the glint of a smile. He ushers the camera closer to him.)
Jayne: Well…Well… Well… I must say it’s been damn enlightinin’ watchin’ everybody move around today. Lotta movin’ parts to put the show together. But what caught my eye the most are the fighters, or competitors, or superstars…Whatever damned thing ya wish to call ‘em. I’ve seen more yoga and new age workouts in a few short hours then I’d ever seen my whole damn life.
(The Desperado shakes his head.)
Jayne: I suppose everyone has their…thing. But for me a fight is a fight. That what I’ll be in tonight against the Star Light, Star Bright. I don’t have much of a plan. Nor do I see much purpose in wastin’ all my time before hand getting all limbered up. When I see the man in the ring and the bell rings either I’ll have it or he will. It’ll go as long as it does. And one of, most likely Darkest Day will be staring up at the lights. Aint really my concern anyhow…. I didn’t come here for the likes of StarDark.
(The Desperado makes *tsk* sounds as he slowly shakes his head.)
Jayne: Nah… I got myself a target. And Ya’all will know who that person is before the night is out. That’s how things work around here far as I can tell. You do some damned crazy thing against someone who probably aint even asked for it. People notice and then you get what really count… Those nice shiny championships. Damn fine thing. So bring in a group of dipshits to “save” the company by riling everybody up, or bash a friend in the head with a chair. Whatever ya gotta do ya do it. Someone’s gonna have to bear the cross of my madness… And ya’all see who that poor sumbitch is not too long from now… Till then, keep yer eyes peeled. Who knows what could happen.
(The Desperado walks away)

A huge explosion is seen and heard as the letters "G" and "W" collides into either side of the letter "Z". "2K1" comes up underneath the letters of "GZW" crashing into them. The official GZW2K1 logo of the nuclear mushroom booms in red and black before the official motto "The Saga Continues" zooms in and out of the screen.

"THE SAGA CONTINUES!!!"
The chorus of "Ground Zero" by The Diplomats hits the Sports Legend Complex sound system as the Zero-Tron switches from the Crimson banner to the visual history of the lineage of the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship. Collected images of "The First" Paul Spartan, then known as Kage, carrying the Extreme Wrestling Order Heavyweight Championship belt through the halls of the EWO arena to "The Enforcer" T-Rex holding up the EWO Heavyweight Championship belt after winning the untelevised first Contest of Champions to Sho "Firefly" Murakame holding up the same EWO belt after a tainted win over Nathan "T-Rex" Williams and quickly to "Champion of the People" T-Rex putting the EWO belt over his shoulder after he successfully wins the belt from "The Fairplay Enforcer" Firefly for the second time cascade the Zero-Tron. The images change to "The Jade Dragon" Sincere Hiroshuma smiling evilly with the newly changed GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Heavyweight Championship title as he points to T-Rex standing in the middle of the ring on a Monday Manslaughter. That scene blends into "The Desert Storm" Sean "Magic" Fiery hoisted onto the shoulders of the fan favorites in the middle of the ring after his triumphant GZW2K1 Heavyweight Championship victory over Sincere at the first Heatwave pay-per-view. As quickly as the scene came about it is replaced with the massive "Wicked One" Deacon Kane holding the GZW2K1 Heavyweight title after already defeating Firefly and T-Rex in matches beforehand that night on a specially broadcast Monday Manslaughter.
The faces of past Globalstars flash across the Zero-Tron ranging from Ring of Honor Icon Jason "Fubu" Makavelli, Ring of Honor Icon Eric "Complete Chaos" Montair to Ring of Honor Icon "Lil' Devil" Hades Fiery, and "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville. It continues with the faces of current Globalstars ranging from Tamer, Piper Sanchez, and Kolic to Alex Cross. Large multi-colored letters of “G-Z-W” flash by rapidly before the scene continues on with the visual lineage of the company’s top title.
“Smooth Operator” Billy Bond is decked out in his full tuxedo holding the GZW2K1 Heavyweight Championship title into the air after cleanly beating Lord of the Coliseum 2002 Deacon Kane for the second time. The scene fades into the now famous “Upset” match where we see Billy Bond holding up the arm of Zachary Sharp and handing him the GZW2K1 Heavyweight title. This changes to “Career Killer” Maxx Pain with the world recognized GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship belt around his waist as he walks backward up the rampway laughing at Zac Sharp who is still in a steel cage after dropping the title. An explosion is shown and heard as “The Wrestling Franchise” James “Monarch” Corbin stands in the ring holding the United Japan Wrestling Super Heavyweight and Hong Kong Wrestling Federation World titles as the GZW2K1 World title is strapped around his waist after defeating Maxx at Contest of Champions III. Zac Sharp being handed the World Heavyweight title after defeating Maxx Pain and Monarch on a Sunday Storm is replayed. Paul Spartan, holding the World title for the second time in his career, falling out of the door of the first ever GZW2K1 Highway to Hell cage at the Fallout: Destination Unknown pay-per-view defeating Zac Sharp.

“Living Legend” Pimp Bizkit is draped over “Lone Gunman” John Taylor as Nathan Williams hits Sean Fiery’s hand onto the mat for a three count in the Steel Cage Finals match of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament at Fallout: Return to Glory. “The Unbreakable Female” Tonya Glory hits Sugar Rush upon Pimp Bizkit to claim the top title at a Crimson is shown as that quickly morphs into John Taylor pinning James Tanner to be crowned the World Heavyweight Champion as Pimp Bizkit is too slow to get back into the ring during their Triple Threat match at Fallout: Collision Course. “Buzzing” Electric Sharpe grins evilly after smashing a glass jar into the face of Lord of the Coliseum 2004 John Taylor as he watches Pimp Bizkit drape his arm over Lord Taylor to once again win the World Heavyweight Championship at Aftermath2K4. Pimp Bizkit is tapping out to Lord Taylor’s Silencer at a Sunday Storm as the Lone Gunman captures the title for the second time and retiring his archrival. Lord Taylor is shown taking multiple sledgehammer shots before being pinned by “The Downfall” Seth Raide at Heatwave II. Lord of the Coliseum 2005 Raide is shown taking the full facial impact of Herasy leading to Vyle claiming the win and the gold at Aftermath2K5. That scene blends into Vyle taking The Consumption before “Ultimatum” Jon Kellar covers him for the win and title on a Crimson broadcast. Ring of Honor Icon Nathaniel “Entertainment Franchise” Davis drops Jon H. Kellar down with a spinning full nelson slam before covering him for the win at Titan’s “Know Thine Enemy”. The clip of Lord of the Coliseum 2006 Kellar regaining the title and unifying it with the NEOGZW World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Icon Davis narrowly in a Sixty Minute Iron Match four pins to five at Crimson’s “Christmas Chaos” is shown. The image makes way to show Leon Taylor forcibly making Senior Referee Richard Dark count the pinfall as Zachary Sharp pins Lord Kellar at Aftermath2K6. That makes way to show Vernon Vanderbilt hitting a perfect senton splash from the top turnbuckle onto Zachary Sharp at Heatwave IV as Vernon becomes the twenty-fifth GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Champion. Leon Taylor is handed the title after hitting a shooting star piledriver on Vernon during the first round of the 2007 Lord of the Coliseum tournament at Crimson’s Thy Kingdom Come. Ring of Honor Icon Sean “Magic” Fiery hits a dragon suplex on Lord Leon Corbin at Anniversary Armageddon 2008 to win his second reign as champion. Lord Corbin wins his second title reign after hitting Getting the Leg Over on Icon Magic at Heatwave V. Icon Magic gains his third title reign at Fallout: Bushido with a rollup pin on Lord Corbin during their Sixty Minute Iron Man match narrowly winning five pins to four. The scene melds into “Big Shot” John Champa hitting his Star-struck upon Icon Magic following the end of the Sixty Minute Iron Man match at Fallout: Bushido before covering the Ring of Honor Icon for the win. A quick montage taken from events at Crimson King’s Ransom and the 2008 Lord of the Coliseum tournament flashes by of Ring of Honor Icon Monarch making Champa tap out to the Armageddon to win the World title for a second time in his history, to the United Japan Wrestling SuperHeavyweight Champion Kandi Fortune-Corbin hitting her Phoenix Rising on her husband Icon Monarch to make her a Ground Zero Global Unified Champion, to finally Icon Magic winning the title for a unprecedented fourth time and the 2008 Lord of the Coliseum over Kandi with the Final Destination. That scene fades into Rupert Martin winning the title by defeating Icon Magic at Aftermath2K8 with The Objection and that quickly morphs into Eva “Nemesis” Hikari hitting an Illusions Shattered from the top turnbuckle upon Vernon Vanderbilt in a Triple Threat Match at Crimson “Maux D Amour IV” that included Martin marking Eva as the thirty-fifth World Heavyweight Champion.
The screen goes blank for a few moments until…
“NEW REGIME”

“NEW REGIME”

A montage of events that happened at Anniversary Armageddon 2009 flash upon the screen slowing to show scenes of “Diva Dangerous” Davina Cameron and Eva Hikari competing for the right to wear the World title before finally showing both women falling from the second turnbuckle with both women’s hand on the other woman creating co-World Heavyweight Champions. That scene easily fades into Fallout: One Night in Manchester where Davina, holding the tights, rolls up Eva to become the lone World Heavyweight Champion. The image quickly blends into Icon Williams winning the title for a third time after hitting Eva with his Wipe Out in the semi final round of the 2009 Lord of the Coliseum tournament at Crimson Best of Our Best before it shows the final round of the 2009 Lord of the Coliseum tournament where Kid Kaos has Icon Williams locked in the Kaos Krab to not only become a Lord of the Coliseum but the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Champion. The scene flashes to Icon Monarch dropping Lord Kaos with his Imperial Impalement at Aftermath2K10 to capture his third GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship. That scene is replaced with Icon Monarch receiving the Extinction from Icon Williams at the Special Broadcast Event: Manchester Again that lead to the massive man winning the title for the fourth time in his career. The scene blends into Munin rendering John Champa unconscious in a rear naked choke during the final round of the 2012 Lord of the Coliseum tournament at Crimson “It Could Happen One Night” to not only become a Lord of the Coliseum but the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Champion. That fades into Raze cashing in his cheque and hitting Shut The F**k Up on Lady Munin after she has already wrestled John Champa on a Crimson to become the forty-second GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Champion. Lord Leon Corbin claims the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship for the third time as he drops Raze on a pile of light tubes with his father’s Imperial Impalement at Heatwave X. Raze reclaims the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship for a second time when he defeats Lord Corbin at the Special Broadcast Event: Honor Reclaimed. The action changes to Aftermath2K13 where “The Spark” Sean Locke pins Kolic after hitting No Mercy to win the vacant GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship; fast forward a year later to Aftermath2K14 where Icon Lord Leon Corbin attains the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship for the fourth time by defeating Alex Cross with Over The Top.
That replay brings the intro to an image of the GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 World Heavyweight Championship belt. Above the belt are the words "EARNED" and below it "NOT GIVEN".
Crumb: MINASAN, KON’NICHIWA!!!!!!!
Pyros shoot off at the entrance ramp with the visuals of the Crimson logo coming up on the Zerotron and a series of effects when the camera pans, catching a few signs within the first few rows, such as “I LOVE AMERICA”, “SEAN LOCKE ICHIBAN” and “I WAS THE FOURTH STOOGE” The camera keeps going, stopping on the commentary desk that is now being occupied by the Stooges, as they begin to take their seats and fix on their headsets. Getting comfortable, Samson shoves Crumb, Nelson simply shaking his head as he turns and looks out over the vast crowd raising the roof with ear piercing cheers.
Nelson: GOOD EVENING AND WELCOME TO CRIMSON!! I am Patrick Nelson with Todd Crumb and Joshua Samson and we are LIVE from the Budoken Arena, here in Toyko, Japan! And what a NIGHT[/b] this is going to be!
Samson: If it’s going to be everything you’re about to make it out to be then why don’t we get right into the action?
Crumb: Good point.
Nelson: Uggh….then let us get right into it!
---GZW2K1 Debut Match: Jayne “The Desperado” Remington vs. Dark Star---
Dark Star is in the ring already awaiting his opponent.
Nelson: We have a Globalstar making his debut in this match and I get the feeling that it will be a lot of fun!
Samson: You think every match is going to be a lot of fun, Patticake. Let's be real...
A Sepia filter comes on the screen as “Kick the Dust Up” by Luke Bryan begins to play. The Desperado walks from the back to stand on the stage. Cowboy hat tilted down and Black Bandanna secured tightly concealing his identity. He begins his steady walk to the ring
As he gets to the ring he reaches up for the ropes pulling himself onto the apron. And hold a hand on his hat as he enters through the middle rope. His duster gliding over the ropes. He turns and looks out at the crowd. Titling his hat to the crowd before removing it and his duster. He backs into the corner and begins to wring his hands ready for battle.
Crumb: I've heard some good things about this guy! Let's see if he can live up to the hype!
Samson: Who told you good things about this guy? I don't think that actually happened...

Referee Tobias Ulrich gets things started by calling for the bell.
Nelson: AND HERE WE GO!
Dark Star and Desperado both approach each other in the center of the ring. The two men waste absolutely no time in getting things started, pounding away on each other with a series of hard strikes back and forth across the ring. Dark Star is able take control as he knocks Desperado back against the ropes. Dark Star nails him in the chest with a few chops before trying to shoot Desperado across the ring. Desperado reverses the attempt and waits for Dark Star to come back on the rebound. When he does, he sends Dark Star to the mat with an armdrag! Dark Star pops back up to his feet and tries to quickly close the gap between himself and Desperado—only to get kicked with a dropkick! Dark Star hits the mat and Desperado covers.
One…
Two…
Th…Dark Star kicks out!
Nelson: Quick start to this match as both of these men are looking to make an impact!
Samson You know something about this cowboy dude looks very familiar.
Crumb: Really? Not to me.
Dark Star makes it back up to his feet. Desperado nails him with an European uppercut that knocks Dark Star off balance. Dark Star recovers, but not before Desperado can pull him in. Desperado spins him around, lifting him into the air for a German suplex that he bridges into a pin attempt.
One…
Two…
Thre…Dark Star kicks out again!
The Japanese fans rise to their feet to show their support for the effort that Desperado has given. Desperado looks at them and nods in appreciation.
Samson I’m telling you…this guy looks hella familiar!
Desperado lines himself up with Dark Star and waits for him to begin dragging himself back up to his feet. Once Dark Star is almost up on his feet, Desperado runs and catches Dark Star with a running knee shot. Desperado tries to grab hold of Dark Star while he's stumbling so that he can pull him in for a back slide, but Dark Star is able to reverse the attempt! He pins Desperado's shoulders to the mat.
One…
Two…
Th…Desperado kicks out!
Nelson: Dark Star definitely needed that, because it looked like things MIGHT start to get ugly otherwise!
Samson: How often do people actually win matches with stuff like that...?
Crumb: Pretty much never.
Samson: Exactly!
Desperado pops back up to his feet and tries to hurry over toward Dark Star. The nephew of Captain All-Star charges at Desperado and nails him with a running forearm smash. He then grabs Desperado and kicks him in the ribs. He pulls the newcomer in toward him and tries to set him up for a suplex. Dark Star tries to lift Desperado into the air for the suplex, but the attempt is blocked. Dark Star tries a second time, but once again, Desperado manages to block the attempt. Before Dark Star can do anything to actually get Desperado into the air, Desperado shoves Dark Star away. Dark Star stumbles a few steps before recovering—and walking right into a spinning heel kick! Dark Star crashes to the mat but immediately pops back up to his feet. Desperado runs at him and leaps into the air, catching Dark Star with a body press into a cover.
One…
Two…
Thre…Dark Star kicks out!
Crumb: WHAT CAN JAYNE “THE DESPERADO” REMINGTON BE THINKING AS DARK STAR KICKS OUT AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND?!?!
The fans are once again on their feet, cheering for Desperado. He nods his head and gets himself into position as Dark Star drags himself up. Desperado charges at Dark Star once he is up, only to have Dark Star step toward him and try to catch Desperado on the jaw with a superkick! Desperado just barely catches Dark Star's foot in the air! He blocks the attempt and trips Dark Star up so that he hits the mat. Dark Star tries to roll back up to his feet while creating space between himself and Desperado. Unfortunately for him, there isn't much that he can do with that space as Desperado comes charging in just seconds later and absolutely NAILS Dark Star with a vicious forearm smash to the face! Dark Star drops to the mat, seemingly out cold from the impact.
Nelson: That had to be the most vicious forearm smash I have ever seen in all my years of commentating!
Crumb: It was so vicious that Dark Star was knocked the hell out!
Desperado grabs Dark Star and drags him up before planting him back on the mat just seconds later with The End of the Line (high angled powerbomb)! Desperado then covers.
One…
Two…
THREE!!
Nelson: And just like that Remington wins in his GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 debut!
Samson: You know what…?
Crumb: What?
Samson: That’s…that’s goddamn Lamer! He can’t fool me!
---Backstage---
Mickey Mouse Greer is standing on the outside of a door that reads "Sean Locke".
Greer: We haven't heard from Sean Locke since heatwave. He was badly banged up in his match so we figured that he maybe hurt, but it seems that he's here for his match and we're going to see if we can get a word with him.
Greer knocks on the door and waits a minute, but no answer. Mickey knocks once more...to no answer. Mickey tries the knob and the door is unlocked. He slowly opens the door and peeks around.
Greer: There he is.
The camera crew slowly creeps in and Sean is laying on a bench staring straight at the ceiling. Without even turning his head he speaks to Mickey.
Sean: Greer, why are you in my room?
Greer: Well Sean, no one has heard from you since heatwave and people have been wondering what is going through your head.
Sean doesn't say anything for a minute, but he finally speaks up.
Sean: You know over the past few days I've racked up a few bills. I wrecked the ambulance i was in making it stop and walked all the way to my hotel room. When I got to my hotel I flew into another rage and wrecked my room. So I have a lot of money I have to give away.
Greer: What about Joh-
Sean raises his voice.
Sean: DON'T!!! Say that name!
This is the only time Sean looked away from the ceiling. He looked dead at Greer with chilling glare. Greer stopped mid sentence with his mouth still open, Sean turned and looked back up to the ceiling.
Sean:That being is going to be stopped. That Gnat who has always let his jealously get the best of him, has done this for the very last time. I think the problem with him is that he hasn't had that beating yet that makes you sit and think that "maybe I am an *sshole." Yeah I think I'm going to be the one to give him that beating. That in the hospital clinging on for your life type of beating.
Sean sits up on the bench and then stands up and slowly walks towards the door, speaking to no one in general.
Sean: That's right people tonight you will witness the end of a nobody. They'll applaud when he's gone and then they'll forget he ever existed.
Sean leaves the locker room as Greer just sits there looking.

“Throughout history, Globalstars have come and come and gone. They make an impact and then are forgotten. But Icons are never forgotten. Icons live on. And they will continue to live.”
The scene shows the GZW2K1 logo.
“Many Icons have come through GroundZero Wrestling 2K1. Billy Bond. Lord Deacon Kane. Pimp Bizkit. And now new Icons are arising. Tamer. Kolic. Alex Cross”
As the voice over says each name, that person’s picture is shown.
“So remember. Watch GroundZero Wrestling 2K1. Where Icons are born.”

---Backstage---
Filming around the merchandise area backstage, presumably as part of a backstage highlight clip, we see merchandise tables being inspected by fans for anything featuring their favourite Globalstars, replica titles, and action figures. Fans chatting with each other (including the "famous" know-it-all Mave Deltzer acting like a smarky bitch) while keeping their eyes peeled for anyone on the roster.
They get their wish in the form of Alex Cross, divided between excited cheers and (mostly) boos and jeering. Ignoring them entirely, Alex continues on his way past, when he is suddenly accosted by a stocky man in a baseball cap, knocking him on the floor with a shoulder barge.
Alex gets up and trades punches with his attacker, the blows becoming fiercer every second. The assailant then hits a thrust kick to the side of the knee, taking the former IC champion to the floor. Taking the hat off, the attacker is revealed as Jericho Cross, who kicks the downed Alex in the face, causing him to roll away.
Jericho takes something from his back pocket while the fans cheer, being so close to a backstage fight. The item rustles as it is prepared, revealing it to be a heavy duty, plastic carrier bag. As Alex tries to get up, the bag is placed over his head and pulled tight.
Some fans scream, frightened by the sudden escalation. Alex struggles as he fights to get away, but Jericho is behind him, pulling tight. He suddenly turns to one side or another when Alex tries to fight out of it, keeping the younger man off balance as he struggles to breathe. A headbutt to the back of the head makes things harder still.
The resistance decreases significantly and, after almost a minute of uncomfortable viewing, Alex is gently lowered to the floor and the bag removed, leaving him barely conscious. Jericho then kneels next to him and grabs a handful of hair, pulling the head up so the camera can see the young Globalstar's face. The Dread King then speaks to him, his voice low, but with a very serious tone.
Jericho: I can sneak attack too, Alex. I know you feel like you've lost everything, but you're wrong. You have so much still to lose yet. You ever try this shit with me or Munin again, I'll show you just how much more can be taken from you. You've forgotten who you're fucking with. Do not make me remind you.
Letting Alex's head fall to the floor, Jericho stands again, the crowd behind him shocked into silence. In a parting shot, Jericho stomps hard on the side of his head. Satisfied, he walks away, leaving Alex stunned and slowly regaining his breath.

Samson: What in the hell?! Raze the Murderer just MURDERED Alex!
Nelson: I would not go that far and say he murdered him.
Crumb: Well it did kind of look like it, Patrick.
Samson: Because he damn well did! Call security...the police…the National Guard! THERE’S A MURDERER ON THE LOOSE!
Nelson: There was indeed an attack, arguably a justified one as Jericho Cross is looking for revenge for the attack he received by Alex Cross last month at Heatwave Twelve, but a murder is taking it a little too far.
Samson: I need to text someone higher than you idiots! Hold on a minute…
Nelson: Anyway, let us move on to the next match of the night.
---Tag Team Match: Piper Sanchez and “The Big Shot” John Champa vs. America Vaughn and “The Spark” Sean Locke---
"Smooth" by Santana begins to play across the arena. At about 17 seconds into the song, Piper Sanchez appears at the top of the ramp. The hood from her jacket is flung over her head, as she stares out into the crowd. With an eager look on her face, Piper throws a punch in the air. She lowers the hood before she begins to walk down toward the ring. Full of youthful energy, she slaps hands with some fans on the way down. She quickly runs up the steel ring steps and enters the ring. Piper runs over to the ropes and climbs to the top turnbuckle where she stands looking out towards the crowd. She then unzips her jacket before throwing the jacket to the outside. Piper drops back down to the mat and awaits her partner.
"Greatness in the Flesh" flashes across the screen, as the arena's lights begin to strobe throughout the arena.

John Champa walks out and stands in the entrance way as pyro shoots off, and a spotlight shines down on him.
You could try and read my lyrics off of this paper before I lay 'em
But you won't take the sting out these words before I say 'em
Cause ain't no way I'ma let you stop me from causin mayhem
When I say I'ma do somethin I do it,
I don't give a damn what you think,
I'm doin this for me, so f*ck the world
Feed it beans, it's gassed up, if it thinks it's stoppin me
I'ma be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoubtedly
And all those who look down on me I'm tearin down your balcony
No if ands or buts, don't try to ask him why or how can he
From "Infinite" down to the last "Relapse" album
he's still sh*ttin, whether he's on salary paid hourly
Until he bows out or he sh*ts his bowels out of him
Whichever comes first, for better or worse
He's married to the game, like a f*ck you for Christmas
His gift is a curse, forget the Earth, he's got the urge
to pull his d*ck from the dirt, and f*ck the whole universe

John walks cockily down the aisle to a chorus of boos from the crowd. As he reaches the ring, he jumps on to the apron and enters the ring. The spotlight still on him, John stands in the center of the ring, his arms stretched out welcoming the crowds reaction.
Crumb: Slaughterhouse reunion, perhaps?
Nelson: These two have had plenty of words over the years back when The Slaughterhouse was active, so it will be interesting to see if they can co-exist in this one!
Samson: I'm sure they will. They’re only facing America and No Spine Sean…
The opening guitar riff of "Mz. Hyde" by Halestorm kicks in as Amanda steps out onto the stage and makes her way down the ramp towards the ring.
In the daylight,
I’m your sweetheart,
Your goody-two-shoes prude is a work of art.
But you don’t know me,
And soon you won’t forget,
Bad as can be, yeah you know I’m not so innocent

She slaps a few out stretched hands before rolling under the bottom rope. She gets to her feet and pulls on the top rope before swinging her arms from side to side as the music fades out.
"Watch This" by Future begins to play as the crowd stands up to there feet. As the song plays for a few seconds "Sean Locke" scrolls across the screen and a bang is heard as a curtain of blue sparks begins to fall. Sean walks through the sparks with a big smile on his face. He begins walking down the aisle giving high fives to the crowd and stops to pose with a nearby fan holding a sean locke sign. Sean slides into the ring and runs and jumps on the far turnbuckle. He points out to the fans and hops down backing into his corner awaiting his opponent.

John Champa steps into the ring to start things off for his team, as Sean Locke does the same for his. Both men stand ready and waiting as Referee Sonny Bright calls for the bell making the match officially underway.
Crumb: AND HERE WE GO!!
Locke and Champa both step toward the center of the ring and, surprisingly, grapple up with one another. They briefly struggle for the advantage, Locke taking control as he drives his knee into Champa's ribs. He follows it up with a second before straightening the Big Shot up and nailing him with an elbow to the mouth. The impact knocks Champa off balance just enough for Locke to shove him back against the ropes. He tries to shoot Champa across the ring. Champa reverses the Irish whip attempt and almost immediately runs at Locke, nearly beheading him with a huge clothesline.
Nelson: Massive clothesline from John Champa!
Locke tries to pull himself back up to his feet, but Champa keeps him down with a few clubbing blows. Despite this, Locke nonetheless pulls himself back up to his feet. Champa connects with a kick to the ribs. He follows it up with a second before grabbing Locke and shooting him into the nearest turnbuckle. Locke staggers out of the corner a few steps before getting crushed from an incoming Champa. The Big Shot grabs the groggy Locke and sends him to the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex! He goes for the cover.
One…
Two…
Th…Locke is able to kick out!
Crumb: You know when Champa is on a roll and in a mood to wrestle...
Samson: There aren't too many people that can hold their own against him, are there?
Crumb: Not at all...
Locke groggily tries to pull himself back up to his feet. Champa grabs him to speed the process up. Champa hits Locke in the mouth with a hard right hand. Locke staggers back from the impact. Champa takes a few steps back before running forward and trying to strike once again. Locke just barely manages to catch Champa with a spinning backfist instead! The impact doesn't send Champa to the mat, but it does knock him back just enough for Locke to step forward and strike with a European uppercut. The impact of this further knocks Champa off balance. Locke finally pulls Champa in and delivers a snap suplex! Not satisfied with just this alone, Locke rolls back up to his feet with Champa still in his grasp.
Nelson: Could Locke be trying to complete consecutive suplexes here?!
Samson: Will it really make a difference...?
Locke tries to hoist Champa into the air for a brainbuster, but Champa is able to block the attempt. He fights his way out of Locke's grasp with a hard elbow shot before straightening Locke up and shoving him back into his corner of the ring. Champa drives his shoulder hard into Locke's ribs before stepping back and once again trying to flatten Locke against the turnbuckle. This time, Locke is just barely able to step out of the way causing Champa to crash hard into the corner and stumbles around.
Locke uses this opportunity to head across the ring to tag America Vaughn into the match. At the same time Piper Sanchez reaches into the ring and tags herself into the match. Piper steps into the ring and tries to stop Locke, though before she can even get across the ring, an irate Champa steps in front of her.
Nelson: It seems like John Champa is not exactly thrilled that his partner decided that she wants to have fun.
Samson: Here we go...time for things to get out of hand...
Piper simply laughs as Champa tries to keep his composure. Piper ignores Champa and tries to blow past her partner and get to America, who is just stepping into the ring. Champa seems less than thrilled with this, spinning Piper around and hits her in the mouth with a hard right hand.
Crumb: So much for that The Slaughterhouse reunion!
Samson: Shaddup!
The impact knocks Piper groggy, though she fights back with one of her own. America runs across the ring and crashes into Champa to send him out to the floor. Champa hits the floor hard. Piper turns her attention toward America, who steps forward and nails Piper with a superkick! The impact causes Piper to crash hard into the ropes. Piper rebounds off of them and right into America's grasp. The recently graduated Trouble Traxxer bounces off the middle rope and snaps off All-American (springboard bulldog)!
Crumb: WHAT CAN PIPER SANCHEZ BE THINKING AS SHE HAS BEEN DROPPED BY AMERICA VAUGHN’S ALL-AMERICAN?!?!
Samson: Probably, “Shaddup, tool!”
America covers.
One…
Two…
THREE!
Crumb: Well...that didn't last long...
Samson: Damn it!
Nelson: Piper Sanchez and John Champa ended up less than thrilled with each other and America Vaughn took advantage to gain a huge win for herself and Sean Locke!
---Backstage---
Backstage in his locker room we find Kolic, who hasn't been seen since he sent a final message to Clan Mayhem back in Hong Kong. He's dressed in a plain black t-shirt and jeans as though in mourning, and seems distant as he stares away from the camera.
Kolic: People have asked me why I've been so silent after my victory at Heatwave several weeks ago. Why, if I'm the gloating and self-centered heel they portray me to be, I haven't capitalized on the win. They don't get it...they never have, and they certainly don't now. I lost at Heatwave. So who won? Isn't it obvious? The corrupting force known as GroundZero Wrestling got the upper hand. They set up the trap that made me force my best friend out of the business and nearly cripple him in the process. And this genius walked right into it with a smile. How could...gaah!
He slings a water bottle across the room in frustration.
Kolic: No no, gotta get it under control. Can't let my emotions get the better of me. I need to recenter my thoughts and find a logical solution to this problem. There's always an answer and I just have to work through it. But...what if that's not the smart play? I thought being in control was the answer with the Clan, but that's not where my strength lies. They were too predictable. Too easy to counter...no, the only way to fight the system is with chaos. Disorder. Entropy. I've always enjoyed doing the unexpected...it's time to get back to that. It starts tonight.
In just a little while I'll face Eva Hikari for her Intercontinental Title. So many expect me to just turn this into a brawl...suppose I don't? Maybe I'll return to my more honorable ways in the ring. Perhaps I'll break out kendo sticks before the bell rings and go to town on her. Who knows? They shouldn't. No longer will it be easy to call my shots in the ring. It's time to be the spanner in the works...and watch the machine explode.
He stands up and walks out as the camera fades.

---GZW2K1 Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship Match: Kolic vs. Ring of Honor Icon Lady Eva “Nemesis” Hikari---
CLICK CLICK BOOM!!!
Pyro explodes up around the ZeroTron.
Samson: What the…?!
"Click Click Boom" by Saliva fills the arena and the crowd leap to their feet.
Nelson: Could it be?
Samson: What the hell is he doing here?!
From under the ZeroTron emerges Jon Kellar. He sports a pair of smart jeans, and a black T-Shirt with "NJFC Colision Course" on the front, getting a big cheer from the Tokyo crowd. He makes his way towards the commentary table and as he does, the camera pans round to show the back, which reads "Team GroundZero" and "29 August 2015"
Nelson: Icon Lord Kellar is not scheduled to be here tonight... but here he is!
Crumb: And he's rocking the retro music! Is this a sign that the old Kellar is back?
Samson: Old, new, doesn't matter. He doesn't even have a contract…he has no right to be here, so why is he bothering us?
Crumb: Tell you what Josh... why don't you ask him. He's coming this way.
Samson: What?!
Icon Kellar approaches the table and stands a few feet away from Samson. He removes his sunglasses and just stares at the commentator.
Samson: Er... hello?
Kellar just stares.
Samson: Can I help y...
Kellar makes a sudden move towards Samson, sending him flying off his chair as he scurries away.
Crumb: Hehehehehe...
With a smile Kellar makes his way to the other side of the table and pulls up a chair, taking a headset.
Icon Kellar: Evening gentlemen...
Crumb: Welcome to ringside, Icon Lord Kellar.
Icon Kellar: Jon's fine Todd.
Samson: So, Jon...
Icon Kellar: Not for you, you are going to refer to me as Icon Lord Kellar for the duration of my stay here. If you even breathe the word "Fathead" I will break all your fingers.
Samson: F.... fine.
Torres: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the GZW2K1 Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship.
Kolic approaches the ring and rolls inside, looking around a little nervously as he does.
Nelson: And you have got to wonder what must be going through Kolic's mind now that Clan Mayhem are gone? He has not endeared himself to the locker room in recent months and there is more than a few Globalstars who will want payback.
Crumb: Especially the Globalstar he is about to face shortly.
Icon Kellar: It's not smart to alienate the roster, and you guys know I speak from experience when I say that.
Samson: Yeah, we know all about that Icon Lord F... Kellar.
Icon Kellar: Last warning Joshua...
Icon Lady Hikari enters second, her custom belt around her waist as the crowd gives her a warm reception. She's almost completely emotionless as she makes her way to the ring, ignoring the crowd. The camera pans to Icon Kellar, who stares at his Heatwave XII opponent and sighs.
Nelson: Icon Lady Hikari is making her way to the ring now, any comment Jon?
Icon Lord Kellar: Only that it's sad to see a former two time World Champion so disillusioned with this industry...
Samson: Are you serious? You've been moping around since you got back here for what must be the hundred and seventy ninth time... talk about pots and kettles...
Tale of the Tape
Kolic | Name | Ring of Honor Icon Lady Eva Hikari |
6'1 | Height | 5'8 |
230 lbs | Weight | 140 lbs |
Atlanta, GA | Hometown | Yorkshire, ENG |
Binary Blast | Finisher | Illusions Shattered |
The bell rings and Eva takes the upper hand quickly, taking Kolic to the mat. She follows up with several elbow drops, and then a spinning leg drop.
Nelson: Well Lady Hikari is not letting her distractions affect her here.
Icon Kellar: That's the tragic thing... not to blow my own trumpet but she beat me and she was half arsing it...
Samson: She wasn't the only one F...
There is a crash as Kellar stands and Samson "falls" off his chair again.
Crumb: Can you commentate every week? I could never get bored of this.
Eva continues to dominate Kolic, but Kolic eventually manages to get in an elbow to send the Icon back. Kolic jumps to the second rope and scores a face buster for a two count.
Nelson: Kolic is no slouch.
Icon Kellar: I've never faced him but when I was filling Nate Davis' boots last year I gave him a chance to fight for the World Title and he didn't take it... you don't turn down that kind of opportunity down. Now he may never get another one.
Samson: That's something you know a lot about.
Icon Kellar: Samson, I took an opportunity and I ran with it, I held the title for almost a year. I beat two Icons in one night and I won Lord of the Coloseum. I offered Kolic a shot at Sean Locke and he said no. Real champions don't say no to opportunities. That's why he was stuck hanging around with clowns and fighting cannon fodder like Tamer.
Samson: You didn't exactly cover yourself in glory either...
Icon Kellar: Yes you made that very VERY clear at Heatwave Joshua.
After dropping a few elbows Kolic maintains control, pushing the Intercontinental champion up in the corner, then grabbing her in a front facelock and driving her into the mat with a suplex Kolic continues to dominate, focussing his attacks on the lower back as Eva struggles to build momentum.
Icon Kellar: Come ON Eva!
Nelson: You want Icon Lady Hikari to win?
Icon Kellar: Why is that so strange?
Nelson: Well not so long ago you were...
Icon Kellar: Be proud of your enemy and enjoy their success...
Samson: You're quoting Blade II at us?
Icon Kellar: It's Frederic Neitzche you plum...
Eva finds herself in the corner but branches up, taking Kolic down with a cross body which gets her a two count. Eva starts to turn the match around, rebounding off the ropes and sending Kolic rolling out of the ring with a flying headscissors. Kolic lands a few feet away from the announce table.
Icon Kellar: That's better...
Kolic gets back up to his feet.
Icon Kellar: Oh just get counted out. You're going to choke anyway...
Kolic overhears Kellar and turns round with a look of disgust on his face.
Kolic: What did you say?
Icon Kellar: What?
Kolic: Say that to my face... come on... say it...
Icon Kellar: Hey genius, he's at 8!
Kolic turns and rolls into the ring, breaking the count, but getting Eva's boot in his face for his trouble.
Icon Kellar: Idiot.
Nelson: Okay, so given the respect you clearly have for Icon Lady Hikari, would you consider a rematch?
Icon Kellar: No.
Nelson: But you said...
Icon Kellar: I said I wanted Eva to win, that's not respect, that just means I like her more than the choke artist crybaby she's facing. Frankly that's not hard.
Nelson: But...
Icon Kellar: Look at that title belt, Eva is determined to bury it because she deems it an unworthy title. She doesn't get it...
Nelson: Does not get what?
Icon Kellar: Never mind.
Eva is on top now and snap suplex Kolic down. She keeps the pressure on.
Nelson: Does not seem to be doing much wrong here.
Icon Kellar: She's barely breaking a sweat but just look at her.
Eva drops some elbows, clearly on top, but doesn't even have a smile
Crumb: What?
Icon Kellar: She's going through the motions, she doesn't care...
Eva has Kolic in the corner and lifts him up onto the top rope. As she goes for the superplex Kolic turns the tables with a series of punches, followed by a frog splash. He scores a two count.
Icon Kellar: See, Eva's away with the fairies.
Samson: This is rich coming from you... I mean you might as well not been at Heatwave. Your brain sure as hell wasn't.
A Russian leg sweep from Kolic allows him to transition into a single leg crab. Kolic finds himself facing straight towards the table and gets down low, putting pressure on Eva's lower back.
Nelson: Single leg crab here!
Crumb: You don't like Kolic but you have to admit he's doing a good job here.
Icon Kellar: I admit nothing. He wastes golden opportunities, then gets pissy and tries to cripple the roster when nobody respects him, he'll find a way to choke this one, even with Eva half assing it.
Samson: ugh...
Icon Kellar: What?
Samson: I just realised I agree with you...
Icon Kellar: Heh...
As Kolic tightens the hold, Kellar raises his right hand in an open fist and shakes it from side to side. Kolic catches sight of it and snarls at Kellar, who takes both his hands and puts them round his neck, making a choke noise. Angered, Kolic releases the hold, glaring towards the table.
Crumb: I think you upset him.
Kolic walks towards the ropes and points angrily towards Kellar, swearing. Kellar shrugs.
Icon Kellar: Oh what you going to do? If I give you a chance you'll decide there's another match you'd prefer...
While Kolic is distracted Eva grabs him and rolls him up.
One...
Two...
THREE!!
Icon Kellar: Choke choke choke!!!
As Eva rolls out of the ring and walks back up the ramp, not even bothering to raise her title as she storms back up the ramp with a look of complete disinterest, Kolic slams his hands on the canvas in frustration, then stands and grabs the ropes, pointing towards Kellar.
Kolic: You did that!!!! YOU DID THAT!!!!
Nelson: I think you upset h..
Kolic rolls out of the ring towards Kellar and throws himself at him, nailing the Ring of Honor Icon with a series of right hands. Kellar finds himself thrown out of the commentary area and Kolic on top of him in a matter of minutes.
Samson: Oh thank god, I'm free.
Kellar is taken by surprise by the attack, as Kolic rolls him into the ring. Kolic throws the timekeeper out of his chair and grabs it.
Crumb: Uh oh, this doesn't look good.
As Kellar struggles to his feet, Kolic rolls into the ring with a chair and smashes the Icon over the head with it. Kellar falls to the mat like a sack of potatoes.
Nelson: Oh my goodness!
Samson: Eh, he had it coming. He was incredibly disrespectful.
Crumb: You agreed with him!
Samson: Yeah, but I didn't get caught.
Kolic stands over Kellar and yells in his face.
Kolic: Laugh it up now Kellar... come on...
Kolic slaps Kellar.
Kolic: LAUGH IT UP!
Nelson: This is not the Kolic we've come to know. He has snapped!
Kolic kicks Kellar for good measure.
Samson: I think Godboy may have just became one of my favorite Globalstars!
Crumb: Really?!
Samson: Yeah...not so much...
Suddenly a loud galloping can be heard from the stage and the camera cuts to show Jayne “The Desperado” Remington riding down the ramp on a horse.
Crumb: What the hell am I seeing?!?!
Nelson: I cannot believe I am saying this but the newest Globalstar, Jayne Remington, is riding towards the ring on a horse!
As the horse gets closer to the ring the Desperado hops up amazingly on the horses back with two feet. And the horse stops suddenly right in front of the ring vaulting The Desperado through the air. He collides immediately with Kolic and starts leveling him with rights and lefts as the hit the ground.
Sampson: I’m… A horse!?!?!?!
Nelson: Wait...Remington is sliding back out of the ring towards his…steed. He is grabbing a rope!
Crumb: I think he’s going hogtying!
Sampson: A HORSE?! That Lamer and a horse!!!!
Crumb: No it’s The Desperado! And he’s sliding back in the ring.
Nelson: Crumb, I think you are right. He is tying that rope around Kolic’s hands.
The Desperado slides back out and mounts his horse and secures the rope on the saddle then shouts.
The Desperado: VERA! Let’s Ride! HYA!
The horse tears off for the ramp and Kolic is yanked out of the ring to the floor.
Nelson: OH MY GOODNESS! Kolic is being dragged by that horse up the ramp!!
As they reach the ramp The Desperado pulls up the reigns and stops Vera he unties the rope form the saddle. He walks to Kolic who looks completely confused and battered. He stands Kolic up at the edge of the stage. And then makes a clocking noise and Vera positions herself with her rear hind to Kolic.
Nelson: What is he…
The Desperado makes slaps Vera and she kicks her hind legs hitting Kolic square in the chest and he flies off the stage to the ground below with an amazing ***THUD***.
Crumb: WHAT CAN EVERYONE BE THINKING AS KOLIC JUST GOT KICKED BY A HORSE OFF THE STAGE?!?!
Samson: Probably, "Godboy might be dead!"
Nelson: And Jayne Remington just mounted up and is riding away!
---Backstage---
“What the hell do you mean you can’t find him?! How hard is it to find a guy that looks and probably smells like he’s homeless?!”
The camera opens backstage to show Vice-President Devotion Profit-Lord sat behind a desk within her temporary office for the night. Standing before her are two uniformed burly security guards.
Guard #1: I’m sorry, ma’am, but it seems as if Raze is no where in the building.
Devotion: Then what about Alex Cross?
The two guards look at one another with dejected expressions.
Guard #1: We can’t seem to find him either, ma’am. We believe that Raze might have taken him off the property as well.
The Vice-President slams her fist down onto the desk.
Devotion: DAMN IT!
Guard #1: All teams are on high alert, ma’am. If either one shows up we’ll know about it immediately.
Devotion: It doesn’t matter. I have a main event that is about to happen and it’s safe to say that it won’t be a tag team match. Leave me while I try to figure this out.
The guards leave without a delay. In deep thought, Devotion strums her finely manicured fingernails on the desk. It isn’t long before an epiphany comes to her bringing a smile to her make upped face.
Devotion: That’s the obvious option, duh! For the first time ever, Lady Munin will face Ring of Honor Icon Lord Leon Corbin for the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship!
The camera closes to the smiling face of the Vice-President.

---Crimson Main Event: GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship Match: Lady Munin vs. Ring of Honor Icon Lord Leon Corbin---
Nelson: Up next we have an impromptu match made just a few minutes ago by Vice-President Profit-Lord and while the circumstances leading to it may not be particularly...fortunate...it is definitely a match that many have dreamed about for years.
The arena lights go out leaving only the running lights on. Smoke starts streaming out across the stage and ramp as Manson's "New Sh*t" starts to play.
Everything has been said before There's nothing left to say anymore When it's all the same You can ask for it by name
Munin steps out onto the stage letting the smoke curl around her, and the tron comes alive with various global stars doing promos, performing in shows, and various forms of off stage naughtyness all moving in an endless high speed loop.
Babble babble bitch bitch Rebel rebel party party Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence" Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in: Everybody sing along.
Strobe lights start to go off as the chorus is repeated once more.
Babble babble bitch bitch Rebel rebel party party Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence" Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in: Everybody sing along. Babble babble bitch bitch Rebel rebel party party Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence" Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in: Everybody sing along,
Munin starts walking down the ramp as the strobes stop and extremly bright lights follow her small lean form down the ramp and the audience pops.
Are you motherf*ckers ready For the new sh*t? Stand up and admit, tomorrow's never coming. This is the new sh*t. Stand up and admit. Do we get it? No. Do we want it? Yeah. This is the new sh*t, Stand up and admit
Munin climbs into the ring as the song ends with manson crooning "Let us entertain you."
Nelson: Unlike many of the people that Lady Munin steps into the ring against, you would assume that Icon Lord Corbin does not want to hurt his sister-in-law in any way, but...even in spite of that...
Crumb: This is a big match for Lady Munin though, Patrick. Can you imagine winning the World title for the second time would do for her? And if there's anyone that would know how to beat Icon Lord Leon...why not someone that partially trains with him?
Samson: This is some bull! Raze the Murderer needs to be found and placed on Death Row!
The lights dim throughout the arena until all is black as the opening to Nine Inch Nails’ ‘The Hand That Feeds’ starts to fade in. As the beat kicks in, red lights flash around the arena until only one stops at the entrance ramp and slowly dies away.
You're keeping in step
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold
Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
Because you do
What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold
Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
At that moment, the red spotlight flashes its brightest at the top of the entrance ramp where, in all his glory, stands the 2014 Ring of Honor Icon and World champion much to the mixed reaction of the crowd. On their feet, they boo and cheer the man equally and loudly as he is showered by falling red sparks above him. In his black PVC trunks and a leather jacket adorned with red flashing LED lights to fit the theme of the event, he just basks in their reaction, staring with a smirk from his made up visage. He turns his attention to the title belt proudly draped over his shoulder then looks up to the ring at the challenger.
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?
He starts to walk the ramp with his trademark conceited grin and a swagger with the spotlight on him the whole way, creating a sinister shadow on his face that accentuates his perfect features. He walks up the ring steps and glares over his kingdom, smirking at his subordinates before he enters the ring through the middle rope.
What if this whole crusade's
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine
A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood
On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine
He takes the time to climb each turnbuckle, holding the title out with the crowd continuing their verbal assault on the man known to all as Vicious. He finally makes his way to the middle of the ring and removes his jacket, tossing it onto the top of a turnbuckle and handing the belt over to the referee.
Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?
Will you stay down on your knees?
Nelson: Well, to his credit Icon Lord Corbin does not seem fazed by Lady Munin's presence.
The two stare at each other, the fans rising to their feet as they wait for Senior Referee Richard Dark to call for the bell.
Crumb: The first single meeting between these two and it’s here in Japan!
The arena lights go completely out as the sound of flies is heard. The crowd boos as the lights flash with two hard drum beats. Seconds pass by, the sound of flies still going. The lights flash again with two more hard drum beats and PIG's "Everything" begins. The crowd boos louder as the lights flash around the stage on beat with the synthesizer. The drums kick in and The Mongrel slowly walks out on the stage, holding his arms out at his side in a cocky manner. He stops at the top of the ramp, the entire arena bathed in orange and purple light. He tilts his head, the crowd booing more.
Nelson: What is he doing out here? We have not seen The Mongrel in months.
Samson: He's not doing anything wrong! Just standing at ringside and watching the two of them. Nothing wrong with that, right?!
Crumb: It's Mongrel...there's a LOT wrong with that...
Munin and Leon both look out at Mongrel, who simply waves at both of them and chuckles, but gives no indication that he'll make a move toward the ring besides that. The two shake their heads and try to ignore him. Senior Ref Dark finally calls for the bell and the match is officially underway.
Tale of the Tape
Lady Munin | Name[/b | Ring of Honor Icon Lord Leon Corbin |
5'3 | Height | 6'3 |
125 lbs | Weight | 221 lbs |
New Orleans, LA | Hometown | London, ENG |
Angel of Death | Finisher | The Vicious Circle |
The two Coliseum rulers stare across the ring at each other for a few seconds before nodding and approaching one another. They circle around each other a few times in the center of the ring before grappling up. There is a brief struggle for the advantage, which Munin seems to gain as she drives Leon back against the ropes. She holds Leon there for a moment before attempting to send him across the ring with an Irish whip. Leon reverses the attempt and when Munin comes back on the rebound, Leon sends her down to the mat with a deep Japanese armdrag. He keeps hold of Munin's arm and locks in a hammerlock. Munin pulls herself back up to her feet, but as she tries to fight her way out of Leon's grasp, the Heavyweight Champion responds by wrenching on her arm.
Nelson: Interesting to see Icon Lord Corbin try to keep the pace of this one a bit slower, since he is usually one of the quicker people to step into the ring.
Samson: Well, it maybe because he knows something that the rest of us don't. But, there's a good chance that he's also well aware of the fact that Lady Itty Bitty is just as fast as he is...and quite possibly better at it!
Nelson: Good point.
Samson: I know this…
Munin pulls Leon in toward her and ducks down, tripping Leon up and causing him to hit the mat. Leon quickly rolls back up to his feet and glares at Munin, who briefly smirks. The two once again start to circle around one another, waiting for yet another opening to appear. When it seems as though this won't be the case, Munin reaches out to grapple up with Leon once again. This time, Leon ducks underneath the grapple up and ends up behind her. Before Munin can turn back around to face him, Leon delivers a forearm shot to the back of the head to knock Munin off balance. He follows it up with a second for good measure before shoving her back against the closest turnbuckle. Leon fires off a few quick chops.
Crowd: Woooo! Wooo! Wooo!
Leon grabs Munin's arm and drapes it over the rope---using said rope for leverage---once again begins to work on wearing down the arm. Senior Ref Dark wastes little time in making his way over to count.
One...
Two...
Three...
Four...Leon finally lets go of the arm.
Nelson: Icon Lord Corbin definitely seems to have a plan that he is sticking with in the early going of this one, and I have to say I am impressed with how well it seems to be working.
Samson: I hope everyone out there is paying attention to this, too. I don't like Icon Lord Fruit Booty all that much these days, but he'd probably know Lady Itty Bitty better than anyone that isn't Lady Sugar Britches!
Leon takes a step back and gives Munin room to recover. Munin steps out of the corner, favoring her arm just a bit. As soon as she takes a few steps, Leon delivers a kick to Munin's ribs. He pulls Munin in and delivers a snap suplex. Leon then goes for the cover.
One…
Two…
Th…Munin is able to kick out!
Crumb: Icon Lord Leon genuinely seems to be in control of this match right now...
Mongrel stands outside of the ring and continues to watch in absolute silence. Leon grabs Munin and locks in a front facelock in hopes of further wearing her down. Though he tries to keep Munin grounded on the mat, Munin manages to pull herself back up to her feet. Leon keeps the hold locked in, but to his own detriment, as Munin drives him back against a turnbuckle. Leon releases the hold a bit. Munin drives him back against the turnbuckle a second time. Leon finally releases the hold completely and rests against the turnbuckle, trying to recover. Munin steps back to the center of the ring before running forward, using her hip to crush her brother-in-law’s midsection against the turnbuckle! Leon falls forward to the mat as the fans cheer for Munin!
Nelson: That was an effective way to get back into this one!
Leon tries to drag himself back up to his feet as quickly as he can. Unfortunately for his, as soon as he's halfway up, Munin bounces off of the ropes and quickly takes Leon right back down with a running dropkick! She then waits patiently as Leon tries to make it up again, though this time, Munin responds with a bulldog! Munin rolls Leon over and goes for the cover.

THR…Leon kicks out!
Nelson: Lady Munin is refusing to let Icon Lord Corbin get back into this match by not allowing him to make it back up to his feet.
Crumb: It's really not a bad strategy, when you think about it. Icon Lord Leon can't take back control if he can't reach his feet!
Samson: Do you two ever really just listen to yourselves?!
As Leon tries to pull himself back up to his feet, Munin takes a moment to look out to the crowd, causing the fans to cheer loudly for her. This includes Mongrel outside of the ring, who finally shows some emotion as he claps his hands. Munin shakes her head and tries to ignore him. Leon uses the brief distraction to create some space between herself and her. Munin notices this and quickly tries to close the gap though as soon as she gets close, Leon leaps into the air and cuts her off with a dropkick!
Nelson: Beautiful dropkick from the World Heavyweight Championship!
Samson: C’mon how hard is it to punt a midget Japanese chick?!
Leon drops to the mat and grabs hold of her arm, once again focusing his efforts on trying to wear it down. Munin wisely rolls over toward the ropes, grabbing them with her free arm and forcing Leon to take a step back. Leon obliges. Munin pulls herself back up to her feet with the help of the ropes. As soon as she's up, Leon tries to step toward her, but Munin delivers a forearm smash. Leon stumbles back in pain. Munin runs at him again and is caught with a tilt-a-whirl slam! Leon hooks the leg and goes for the cover.

Thr…Munin is able to get the shoulder up!
Crumb: How close was that?! Icon Lord Leon thought he had the match won!
Leon drops down and grabs Munin's arm, continuing to focus his efforts on it. Leon and Munin make it back up to their feet. As soon as they are up, Leon pulls Munin in and drives his knee into her ribs. Munin doubles over. Leon quickly grabs hold of her and tries for a powerbomb to a facebuster! Munin blocks the attempt and shoves him away. Leon stumbles a few steps. Before he can regain his balance, Munin runs forward and delivers a hard blow to the back of Leon's head. This knocks Leon forward and into the turnbuckle, the impact causing him to stagger back. Munin bounces off of the ropes to strike once again as an off-balance Leon tries to deliver a clothesline. Munin ducks underneath the attempt and continues to run, bouncing off of the ropes again and catching Leon with a handspring back elbow! As Leon tries to get vertical Munin bounces off of the ropes and strikes again--this time with a headscissors takedown! Leon hits the mat hard. Munin goes for the cover.

Thr…Leon kicks out in time!
Crumb: Bursts like that are why Lady Munin's successfully vanquished all four of Clan Mayhem last month at Heatwave Twelve! She is nearly impossible to keep down for long...
Nelson: That is very true but Icon Lord Corbin cannot be counted out as well. He successfully emerged from a Triple Threat Highway to Hell match at that very same pay-per-view last month.
Munin grabs Leon and tries to lift him back up to his feet in hopes of keeping her current pace up. She delivers a chop to Leon's chest, and then a second, and then a third.
Crowd: Woooo! Wooo! Wooo!
Munin has Leon completely off balance, though as she tries to step forward to grab hold of him, Leon strikes back with an elbow to the mouth. The impact sends Munin stumbling back. Leon runs forward and tries to deliver an enziguri! Munin just barely ducks underneath the kick attempt. Leon tries to pull himself back up to his feet before Munin can take control of the match once again. Munin ends that desire as she bounces off of the ropes and delivers a hard knee. The impact knocks Leon down. Munin steps to the opposite end of the ring and raises her fist in the air to get the fans riled up, though her eyes are focused on the World Champion the entire time.
Nelson: I get the feeling that Lady Munin might be looking to put this match away here.
As Leon is almost up to his feet, his back to the sister of Icon Lady Eva Hikari, Munin prepares to get a running start. Before she can, however, Mongrel reaches into the ring and grabs her ankle, causing her to stumble a few steps.
Crumb: WHAT CAN EVERYONE BE THINKING AS THE MONGREL INSERTS HIMSELF INTO THIS GZW2K1 WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH?!?!
Samson: Probably, “what the hell is Joshua Crumb talking about?!”
Munin turns around and glares out at Mongrel, who laughs hysterically. This seems to cause Munin to finally lose it, as she starts to yell at the big man outside of the ring. Mongrel seems to ignore this reaction as he applauds once again. Munin mumbles a few rather mean things toward him before turning around. As soon as she's facing Leon again, she is pulled down into a Fujiwara armbar---with Leon making sure that the arm he spent the match working on is the one locked in the hold.
Nelson: And Icon Lord Corbin just caught Lady Munin!
Crumb: This is NOT good for Lady Munin! Icon Lord Leon has that hold locked in perfectly!
Sure enough, Leon does everything he can to continue hurting Munin's arm. Munin looks around with her eyes wide in pain, hoping desperately that she can reach the ropes. Unfortunately for her, she can't. Munin has no choice but to tap out.
Samson: And Lady Itty Bitty is taken down a peg or two!
Nelson: Lady Munin was distracted by The Mongrel and Icon Lord Corbin...
Samson: Knew exactly how he wanted to take advantage of it!
Crumb: But not without the help of Mongrel!
Samson: Oh, come on! Mongrel didn't do anything!
Crumb: He tripped up Lady Munin and caused a distraction!
Samson: So? It's not like he beat the hell out of her! It's her fault for losing focus!
Leon runs to a corner, jumping up on the second rope and throws his arms in the air to a mixed chorus of boos and cheers. He doesn't seem to notice the split crowd as he climbs down, pumping his fists a few times as he walks to the other side of the ring. On the outside, Mongrel looks up at his nephew by law, slowly clapping. Leon looks at him, unsure of what to make of his support, but just shrugs and climbs up another turnbuckle, throwing his arms in the air again to a mixed reaction.
Crumb: A lot of this crowd doesn’t seem too pleased.
Leon hops down and looks at Munin, who is slowly sitting up in the middle of the ring. Leon exits the ring, is handed his title belt, and makes his way up the ramp. Mongrel stops clapping, turning his attention to Munin in the middle of the ring. Munin sits there, looking completely stunned at what has just happened.
Samson: Awww, that poor baby. She didn't get her way!
Nelson: Stop it, Samson.
Munin pounds the mat with a fist, clearly frustrated at the outcome and interference. Mongrel's eyes widen and he slowly leans in, his head over the bottom rope. He stares at her, slowly tilting his head. Getting to her knees, Munin finally notices Mongrel staring at her and slowly, her sad and pouty features turn to rage and anger. Senior Ref Dark tells her to keep her cool and tries to point her in the direction of the ramp. Munin slowly stands up, balling her fists up tight as her face begins to turn red.
Crumb: Wow... she looks pissed.
Nelson: Would not you be if you were screwed out of a match?
Samson: I'd like to think I'd be more of an adult and say stuff happens.
Mongrel stares up at her, head still tilted. Senior Ref Dark stands between Munin and the ropes, doing his best to speak softly to her and get her to leave the ring. She steps around him, gritting her teeth as she stares at Mongrel. The Warpath member slowly raises a hand, placing it palm down on the mat... and begins to make a tap out motion. The entire crowd lets out an “OOOOOOOOHHHHH!” as Munin's eyes widen even more and the color drains from her face.
Crumb: Now he's just rubbing it in.
Munin rushes toward the ropes as Mongrel takes a step back. Senior Ref Dark grabs Munin from behind, nearly being dragged behind her before he finally stops her, wrapping his arms around her arms and torso. Munin's head sticks out of the ring between the bottom and middle rope, her face inches from Mongrel's, her teeth gritted as she looks ready to bite his head off. They stare eye to eye, never blinking as Senior Ref Dark tries to pull her back while the crowd begins to chant “LET HER GO! LET HER GO! LET HER GO!”.
Samson: Yes! Let her go! I want to see her get whooped by Mongrel again!
Munin screams in Mongrel's face, telling him to “COME ON!!!”. He stares her down for a few seconds longer then finally shakes his head and turns away from her, walking toward the ramp. The crowd boos as he makes his way up to the stage, not even bothering to look back at Munin as she fights with Senior Ref Dark to get loose.
Nelson: Looks like The Mongrel does not want a fight!
Samson: That's too bad... I wanted to see him throw her around again!
Crumb: But is he scared to fight her or is he playing head games?
Samson: I think we know the answer to that. Let's not kid ourselves.
Munin manages to break free of Senior Ref Dark, running over to the ramp side ropes and stepping up on them. She glares after Mongrel as he continues to walk up the ramp, never looking back. She yells at him to get back in the ring and fight her, but still, he doesn't look back, not even as he steps through the curtains.
