[Icon Lord Jon Kellar]

Elsewhere backstage, Icon Kellar is preparing. He is not decked out in his wrestling gear, still wearing his jeans, and is shadow boxing in one of the corners of the room, skipping from foot to foot and throwing a series of jabs.

Icon Kellar: You’re losing your touch, I heard you enter…

Munin: Or maybe you are just more focused since I knocked you unconscious.

Icon Kellar: I was not unconscious… not quite…

Kellar turns around to see Lady Munin staring back at him.

Icon Kellar: Come to offer advice? Wish me luck?

She leaned against the nearby wall, and folded her arms with a smile.

Munin: No, I was just...curious.

Icon Kellar: Curious?

Kellar raises an eyebrow

Icon Kellar: About what?

Munin: Would you rather I said to offer you advice?

Icon Kellar: I’d rather you stop dodging and tell me whats on your mind.

Kellar resumes his shadow boxing, loosening up.

Munin: But it's soo much fun, besides you're not one to talk are you?

Kellar ducks his imaginary opponent, keeping his back turned to Munin and not answering. Pushing off the wall Munin circles him slowly, observing his form as she does so.

Munin: You are leaning to your left too much.

Kellar stops

Icon Kellar: See… you’re not just curious… you’re worried…

Munin: Or maybe I'm just petulant.

She pouted for effect, though her eyes were full of mischief.

Icon Kellar has one more stretch, clearly in no mood to play games. He moves to walk past his fellow Lord of the Coliseum

Icon Kellar: I have a match to get to….

Munin: Why didn't you challenge me? Why did you feed the trolls instead?

Kellar is taken aback.

Icon Kellar: Because… you didn’t bean me over the head with a chair…

Kellar shrugs his shoulders

Icon Kellar: This is about plain simple revenge… nothing more…

At his words Munin turns serious.

Munin: Be careful in that ring tonight Jon...

Kellar shakes his head and walks out, headed for the ring.

[GZG Online]

“Engel” from Rammstein plays as the reigning Intercontinental Champion appears from backstage, her custom belt over her shoulder. Icon Lady Eva “Nemesis” Hikari looks around at the crowd, miserable and disinterested, as she makes her way down to ringside.

Crumb: Hey, looks like we’re going to have company again this week!!!

Nelson: And it’s appropriate because we’ve just heard that the winner of this match will face Icon Lady Hikari for the InterContinental Championship!!!

Samson: Have we?

Nelson: Yep… just confirmed…

Samson: Why not just set the title on fire and be done with it if those are our options…

Eva reaches ringside and takes a seat to the right of the Stooges. She is offered a headset but doesn’t even acknowledge it, let alone take it.

Nelson: Errr… okay… I guess Icon Lady Hikari wanted a better view of her two potential challengers.

Eva slumps the InterContinental Title across her lap and stares at the ring, head resting on her hand.

On the screen bolt of lightning hits a wooden cross, setting it ablaze.

Sing to me your plight unjust

Define it for the rest of us

No river of your tears

No sympathy will find you here

NOT ONE OF YOU B*ST*RDS HAS A CROSS TO BEAR

Pyros flare as "Cross to Bear" by Demon Hunter plays and Kolic walks on the stage, he makes his way down to the ring. He kneels for a second before running to the ring and jumping over the top rope. He stands in a corner and stares straight ahead, not letting anything distract him for the match to come.

Crumb: Kolic looks ready for this… but I don’t think he can possibly prepare for what’s to come. Kellar is one of the all time greats.

Samason: You want some mouthwash to get the smell of Icon Lord Fathead’s arse off your lips?

CLICK CLICK BOOM!!!

Pyro detonates, and the crowd leap to their feet.

Crumb: Here we go!!!

Samson: Wake me when it’s over…

MATCH 3 (Singles Match) No. 1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship

"ICONIC DYNAMITE" LORD JON KELLAR V KOLIC

Icon Lord Kellar wastes no time running to the ring and rolling in. He ducks a Kolic clothesline and starts working his left jab. Kolic finds himself back in the corner, and then thrown into the centre of the ring with a belly to belly suplex.

Crumb: WOAH! Kellar wasting no time here! Big move, Kellar’s clearly still got it!!!

Eva is visibly not impressed

Samson: I think you’re a fan club of one Todd… as usual…

Kolic pulls himself up as Kellar resumes his stance and continues to work off the jab, circling and keeping his distance. Kolic tracks him, soaking up the punishment and covering up as best he can, but unable to reach him with his signature kicks as Kellar widens the gap, then comes back in.

Nelson: Icon Kellar has the momentum here… Kolic can’t get near him!

Kellar maintains the advantage, with Kolic looking like he’s struggling to keep up. Kellar swaggers cockily, almost skipping around the ring as he winds Kolic up. A series of jabs ends with a belly-to-back suplex, and Kellar standing tall. Kolic lies completely still as Kellar mocks him. Eva continues to look on.

Samson: Oh come on Godboy, he didn’t hit you that hard!!!

Crumb: Looks like Kellar’s going to get his revenge here!

Samson: Seriously… why are we even giving this air time?

Crumb: Any thoughts Eva… I mean, Icon Lady Hikari?

Eva continues to sit in silence, looking completely disinterested by the whole thing.

Crumb: I guess not.

Kellar rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair from ringside.

Crumb: Hang on! Icon Davis only made this match on the proviso that it stayed a wrestling match!!!

Samson: Hey, Icon Lord Fathead isn’t trustworthy… who knew?

Kellar rolls back into the ring, chair in hand, and pushes the protesting referee to one side. He looks down at Kolic, who is still lying motionless, and raises the chair.

Samson: Goodnight Godboy!

Kolic’s eyes suddenly fly open and he takes the Icon down to the ground. Kellar falls face first onto the chair.

Samson: Or… not…

Crumb: Kolic was playing possum! He just outsmarted Icon Lord Kellar!!!

Samson: You make that sound like an achievement… I told you Fathead didn’t hit him that hard!!!

With Kellar dazed and bloodied from the self-inflicted chairshot, Kolic goes to work, delivering strike after brutal strike to the former World Champion, laughing as he does. Kellar ends up in the corner, where Kolic delivers a series of punches to his head, opening up the wound even further. He throws Kellar out of the corner, and the “Iconic Dynamite” crawls along the floor, taking an elbow drop to the back of the head. Kolic continues to brutalise Kellar, laughing and mocking him as he does.

Nelson: I… I can’t believe what I’m seeing here…

After a few minutes of brutality, during which Kellar’s face is turned almost completely red, Kolic relinquishes to a sea of boos. Kolic scouts Kellar, waiting for him to get up, which takes Kellar seemingly an age. Once he is finally up, Kolic delivers a Savate Kick. Kellar topples like a stack of pancakes, hitting the mat hard.

The crowd is stunned to a man, with only one exception, Eva Hikari. Who continues to look on, almost bored by the spectacle in front of her.

Crumb: Icon Lord Kellar is being… well.. dominated… there’s no other way to describe it.

Samson: I told you. Icon Lord Fathead is old, broken down, and finished… he fluked a legacy and now he’s pissing all over it…

Eva just looks on, shaking her head with disappointment as Kolic delivers a frogsplash to a nearly unconscious Kellar. The crowd look on in almost stunned silence as Kellar lies motionless in the ring. Kolic gestures to the fans.

Crumb: Kolic outsmarted Kellar at the start of this match, and now he’s out fought him… Kellar really might be done here…

Kolic gestures to the fans as his victim lies motionless in the ring. Suddenly, from the stage there is the sound of a horse whinnying, sending the crowd into a loud cheer.

Crumb: WHAT?!!

Samson: Oh come on, not this crap again!!!

Nelson: It’s The Desperado!

Jayne “The Desperado” Remington rides out onto the stage, rearing its horse up onto is hind legs. Kolic stares up towards the ramp.

Nelson: My God, look at the look on Kolic’s face!

Crumb: That face got kicked in by that horse at Crimson… and now The Desperado is back!!!

At ringside, Eva rolls her eyes at the scene unfolding as Kolic glares towards the cowboy up on the sage, challenging him to come down to the ring. As he does, he fails to spot that Kellar is stirring. Kolic turns, and Kellar takes him down with a leg trip, before strapping on the Kellar Klutch (Anaconda Vice)

Crumb: WAIT!!! KELLAR KLUTCH!!! KELLAR KLUTCH!!!

Nelson: No one has ever escaped this hold!!!

Kolic extends his leg and tries to reach the rope, but Kellar, using what is clearly the last speck of consciousness, tightens the vice and crushes Kolic’s neck. Kolic fights up to his feet but still Kellar won’t break the hold, and throws him back down to the mat, still in the vice.

Nelson: How the hell can Kellar keep that vice locked in?!?!!

Crumb: He’s fighting entirely on instinct…

Kolic pushes at Kellar’s blood soaked face and Kellar is clearly starting to fade too, but refuses to relinquish the hold. Again, Kolic fights up, but Kellar throws him back down to the mat, keeping the lock, and now further away from the ropes.

Samson: HOW!??!?! HOW CAN HE BE DOING THIS??!?!?!! HE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE ANY BLOOD LEFT IN HIS FAT HEAD!!!!

Crumb: He doesn’t look so spent now, eh Josh?!

In the ring it is clear that Kellar is fading from the blood loss and the punishment, but so is Kolic.

Nelson: Someone is going to pass out here… but I don’t know who!!!

Kolic flounders in the Kellar Klutch for a while longer, then goes limp. The referee checks him and calls for the bell, ordering Kellar to release the hold. Kellar doesn’t need telling twice as he collapses off to one side, closing his eyes and passing out.

WINNER (by stoppage)

"ICONIC DYNAMITE" LORD JON KELLAR

Torres: Ladies and Gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this bout, declaring the winner to be “The Iconic Dynamite” Lord Jon Kellar!!!

Samson: That’s a choke! It should be illegal!!! Disqualify him!!!!

Crumb: Kellar wins!!!

The crowd cheer as Kolic slowly comes round. He sits up as the referee tells him the result, which Kolic greets with a howl of anguish. He staggers up and glares towards the stage as Desperado rears up on his horse again, and rides away backstage.

Crumb: Kellar didn’t have anything good to say about the Desperado, but the guy just saved him… again!!!

Kolic staggers up and glares backstage, then looks over at Kellar, who is lying face down in a pool of his own blood, being checked on by the referee.

Crumb: Well… Kellar may have won this match and he may be the No. 1 Contender for the InterContinental Title but… guys… I don’t think he’ll be in any shape to take that shot…

Samson: Hey, what’s Godboy doing??!!!

The crowd gasp as Kolic, overcome with rage at the injustice he’s just suffered, makes good on his earlier threat as he rebounds off the rope and kicks the completely unconscious Kellar in the head. The Ring of Honor Icon rolls over and lies there, completely still. Kolic turns towards Eva, who is still completely unmoved by the whole thing.

Kolic: There… there’s your challenger… have fun with that….

Kolic rolls out of the ring and makes his exit, clearly still furious at the outcome, as EMTs run down with a stretcher. The crowd sit in stunned silence as EMTs move Kellar out of the ring and onto the stretcher.

Nelson: Well… Ladies and Gentlemen Kellar may have won this match but… we may well have just seen the end of his career… that was an absolutely brutal beating he just took from Kolic.

Samson: He should retire… I mean when you’re getting brutalised by Godboy it really is time to hang up your boots…

Crumb: That’s a little cruel…

Samson: It was a heartless, gutless, directionless performance, exactly what we’ve come to expect from Icon Lord Fathead.

Eva stands up and moves from ringside. As she passes Kellar on the stretcher, she just shakes her head sadly, before making her exit. Kellar is wheeled out shortly afterwards, leaving a stunned arena behind him.

Samson: Well that was fun, who wants Chinese?

Backstage, Munin watches as Kellar is rolled past her on a stretcher. His body is visibly battered and bruised almost beyond recognition, and an oxygen mask hides the bottom of his face.

Munin: Oh Kolic just when I think you can't annoy me any more than you have.

Despite the cold fury in her eyes there is also a hint of pride and satisfaction. Kellar won after all, against all odds he has not disappointed her.

She turns from the stretcher with a smile of anticipation.

Munin: New beginnings indeed...

---Titan Main Event: “Wild Card” Eddie Knoxville Television Championship Match: Stephon Davis vs. The Mongrel---

Torres: The following match is the Titan main event and is scheduled for ONE FALL for the “Wild Card” Eddie Knoxville Television Championship!

The lights go out and the logo of "SD" appears on the screen. As "Down and Out" by Tantric hits and the lights come back on Stephon Davis is standing on the stage with his arms spread in the air. As he lowers his arms he then starts his walk to the ring. When he gets to the ring he poses again in the far corner and then waits for the match to begin.

Nelson: Coming off a huge victory over Chris Cairns at Heatwave Twleve a month ago, Davis is looking for his first GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 championship gold and judging by how focused he looks right now I think he is going to try and get it!

Crumb: And you can’t discount that the current W.C.E.K. T.V. Champion injured the ex-W.C.E.K. T.V. Champion who just so happened to be Stephon’s ex-girlfriend. Stephon will be looking to get some major getback on her behalf.

"No Rest For the Wicked" by Godsmack starts and a small boo goes through the crowd as William Saint, the Mongrel, enters the arena. He looks straight ahead, and stalks to the ring, like a lion slowly but fluidly descending to its hunting grounds. He ignores the fans.

Samson: This match should be quick and painful!

The referee briefly glances over at Stephon and then nods. Immediately after the bell rings, Stephon runs across the ring and BLASTS Mongrel in the mouth with a hard right hand. He follows it up with a second, and then a third. Mongrel shoves Stephon back before he can do anything else, causing the son of the Commissioner to nearly lose his footing. Mongrel tries to use this to his advantage as he charges forward—only to get caught with a big hiptoss from Stephon!

Nelson: It can be very easy to forget because of his inexperience but Stephon Davis is no small guy.

Samson: But still small compared to Mongrel!

Mongrel quickly gets to his feet and hits Stephon with a throat thrust! The impact of the blow sends Stephon stumbling. Mongrel grabs Stephon and shoots him across the ring. He steps forward and waits for Stephon to come back on the rebound. Mongrel then lifts Stephon into the air and takes a few steps before delivering a sidewalk slam! Mongrel hooks the leg and goes for the quick cover.

Two…

Thr…Stephon gets the shoulder up!

Nelson: There has been talk on why The Mongrel has yet been given any opportunities to wrestle for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Crumb: Many feel like he just doesn’t have the proper motivation to sustain at that level.

Samson: Well whether Mongrel has been successful or not is pretty irrelevant! Especially compared to just how dangerous he can be when he gets going!

Stephon tries to drag himself back up to his feet. Mongrel quickly closes the gap between the two of them and hits Stephon in the mouth with a back elbow shot. He follows it up with a second. Stephon stumbles back against the nearest turnbuckle and uses it to remain on his feet. Mongrel glares at Stephon before slowly stepping back to the middle of the ring. While Stephon continues to try and hold himself upright, Mongrel charges forward and crushes Stephon against the turnbuckle! Stephon nearly falls to the mat as he pulls himself out of the corner. Mongrel puts his hands around Stephon's throat and begins to choke him. The referee immediately heads over to Mongrel to give him a warning. The warning ends up being irrelevant, however, as Mongrel lifts Stephon into the air and delivers a chokebomb that he transitions into a pin attempt.

One…

Two…

Thre…Stephon kicks out!

Crumb: That was a big slam, but to his credit it looks like Stephon has some fight left in him!

Nelson: I would hope has got some fight left in him! But I have to admit I do not know if I like his chances with the way that The Mongrel has been going tonight.

Samson: Stephon is just stalling the inevitably…

The fans boo Mongrel as he glares down at Stephon. Mongrel wraps his right hand around Stephon's throat and brings him back up to his feet. The referee again starts to warn Mongrel. This time, however, Stephon is able to fight his way out of Mongrel's grasp! He kicks the right leg of Mongrel once and then twice! Mongrel stumbles back, giving Stephon a chance to back up and pick up some speed! Mongrel tries to cut Stephon off with a big boot! Stephon ducks underneath the attempt and continues to run, bouncing off of the ropes and taking the right knee of Mongrel out with a chop block! Mongrel tries to recover, but can't before Stephon grabs hold of him and snaps off a DDT! The fans explode with cheers. Stephon goes for the cover.

One…

Two…

Th…Mongrel powers out!

Nelson: Davis is starting to gain a bit of momentum!

Samson: But can he KEEP that momentum?!

Stephon pops back up to his feet. Mongrel pulls himself back up to his feet. Sensing the perfect opportunity to strike, Stephon runs forward and catches Mongrel with a hard knee to the head! Mongrel falls to the mat from the impact and once again tries to pull himself back up to his feet. Stephon grabs Mongrel so that he can set him up for powerbomb!

Samson: Is this young punk going to try to hit Mongrel with a powerbomb?!

Crumb: Stephon on the verge of becoming the new “Wild Card” Eddie Knoxville Television champion!

Before Stephon can actually lift the three hundred pounder up, Mongrel powers out by sending Stephon to the mat with a back body drop! Stephon pulls himself back up to his feet and runs at Mongrel to grab hold of him and keep his momentum going—only to walk right into a big boot! Stephon crashes to the mat before stumbling back up to his feet. Mongrel grabs him and delivers Doomsday Disaster (Argentina backbreaker) in the middle of the ring. The fans boo as Mongrel goes for the cover.

One…

Two…

THREE!!

Torres: The winner of this match and STILL the “Wild Card” Eddie Knoxville Television Champion….The Mongrel!!!!

Samson: Unless Michael Irons ever steps back into a ring there is no one in the Globalverse that is going to be able to stop Mongrel!

Nelson: Well, if what we saw tonight is any indication, I would say you may have a valid point, Samson!

Unfortunately for Stephon, it doesn't appear that Mongrels is done. The Warpath member grabs the younger man by the head and drags him back up to his feet. He glares angrily at Stephon before shaking his head. He places a hand around Stephon's throat once again and begins to mumble something that the camera can't pick up.

Crumb: Oh no...someone get out here and stop him!

Mongrel gets ready to lift Stephon into the air for a second Doomsday Disaster. Before he can, none other than Lady Munin, kendo stick in hand, storms down the entrance ramp much to the delight of the crowd!

Samson: What in the hell is Lady Itty Bitty doing?!

Munin slides into the ring and immediately goes after Mongrel. Frantically she pounds away on the man monster, driving him down to one knee. Munin bounces off of the ropes and sends Mongrel to the mat with a devastating dropkick! Mongrel rolls out to the floor before the fight can continue, angrily glaring at the Japanese woman. He continues to mumble to himself as he makes his way up the ramp.

Nelson: Thank goodness Lady Munin was here to help Stephon Davis out!

Samson: What business did she have getting involved with this?!

Crumb: Well, Mongrel did interfere in her match at Crimson and had some things to say about her earlier tonight.

Samson: Shaddup!

Nelson: I am Patrick Nelson and on behalf of my broadcast partners, Todd Crumb and Joshua Samson, we would like to thank you for joining us tonight for another GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 action packed wrestling broadcast!
