Munin: Sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but words will never hurt me. But as I'm sure you feel inclined Mongrel..please be my guest and try try try.
Munin made herself comfortable on a lounge chair, her lean figure stretched out across the grey fabric. Despite her relaxed position her appearance was impeccable.
A loose bright red dress left one of her shoulders bare, and hung around the outline of her lean figure artfully, while her black hair was free to fall over one shoulder. The beauty of tokyo at night time was displayed behind her in panoramic view.
Munin:You refer to my life being like a soap opera, and claim it is some how distracting me from my work. I find it amusing as non like many in the company I do not choose to broadcast a great deal of my private life on the air waves. It is just that...private.
Her tone is not scornful or confrontational, in fact it along with her red lipped smile could only be described as polite and respectful.
Munin: And I fail to see how my private life has some how affected my professional life. As far as I can tell I was in top form for my last two matches. I made all my appearances, trained like hell, won a match against all odds, and pushed my last match more than either of my intended opponents.
She gestured with one hand, and within a moment someone off camera placed a glass cup of ice water beside her.
Munin: I may have even won the World Title during the last show if not for your...timely intervention.
The pause was purposely placed to leave room for words implied.
Munin: Who knows maybe I should be thanking you, as I had no desire for the World Title in the first place.
Shrugging her shoulders she reached for the glass of water with a softly spoken thank you.
Munin: Then again let me not be trite when addressing you, as you do deserve more than that.
Amusement seeped into her smile, as her words became more frank.
Munin: We both know that World Title or not your interference was most unappreciated. Just as we both know that my own interference did not leave you wishing to sing gratitude and my praises.
She took her time in sipping her water, and licked away the excess water from her lips.
Munin: I would say we were even, but we both know that this is just the beginning. I look forward to seeing where this beginning takes us sir. I highly doubt it will be down a road either of us expect.
She let those words hang in the sudden silence of the room, before slowly smiling.
Munin: Now moving on to someone I have never addressed before...Mr. Davis my message for you is rather short. I may have saved your career at the last show, but I am not hero of GZW that Mongrel perceives me to be.
After leaning back in her chair with a noticeably nonchalant air, she crosses her legs, and takes another sip of her water.
Munin: I seldom do anything without motive, and last show was no different.
The words words spoken with sensual lazy drawl, but her eyes were sharp and alert. It was like watching a cat's eyes when they played with a mouse. Pretending like it had forgotten it, only catch it with it claws the moment it thinks it's free.
Munin: So here is what I ask of you...Do something.
A cheshire grin twists on her red lips, her words presented as a challenge or dare...possibly even a demand.
Munin: Do something with your career, even if it's wrong give me some reason to take notice. Give me a reason to believe you deserve to be here. I don't think it's too much to ask of you...do you?
She tilted her head slightly in speculation.
Munin: Do you think I am asking too much? This is a time for beginnings Mr. Davis, but every beginning signifies the ending of something else. So if you think that me asking you to take the initiative with your chance at a new chapter in your career is to much...then you may find your new beginning comes with an ending that you won't like.
She said this with a level voice that was devoid of threat or malice. It was simply matter of fact, cold and logical.
Munin: It's not a threat it's a cautionary warning. If you aren't going to let your actions speak for you than you would do best to use your words. Otherwise you may find yourself drowned out and lost in the shuffle.
Eyes calculating behind the mask of carefree cheerfulness.
Munin: That warning could apply to a number of people in this company though. America my dear did you get lost somewhere? Somewhere without a camera perhaps?
She leaned over on the side of the lounge towards someone off camera, and spoke in a mock whisper.
Munin: Maybe Sean Locke is lost with America. That would be scandalous, but I think they are really both just being quiet.
She settled back into place with a smile that was less than amused despite her teasing words.
Munin: Which is even worse...You have a brand new star that is supposedly trying to make a name for herself in this company, but she can't be bothered to give air time or make an appearance. Then you have a main event that is working on making himself a legend. A man that has just accepted a long standing challenge, its a challenge that I am looking forward to watching unfold...but where is the hype for it? I'm starting to worry that this this will just be a flash in the pan match when it happens...if it happens. Does Champa even really want this to happen?
She actually looked to the camera crew while asking this, and apparently she got a response.
Munin: Ha! Dave the cameraman seems to have some doubts too. I can't blame him, because god knows usually when Champa wants something it's impossible to shut him up. Now? Silent as the dead...Maybe Sean has lost his Spark and Champa his tongue.
With a chuckle she shook her head, and brushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
Munin: To be fair though at least they seem to know what they want and what their goals are. That's more than anyone can say for poor Kolic. You know now when I think of him all I can picture is sad cat...its a bit pathetic. Lets take a look at Kolic's most recent professional timeline. He wanted to destroy the company so he gangs up with Mayhem, who again never betrayed him, finds out that the idiots were never supposed to destroy the company, ends his ex-bestfriends career, and then throws a hissy fit after I defeated them at Heatwave. Now he says to expect the unexpected, but honestly if he does anything at all in a promo room I will find it unexpected, but as far as actions goes he has been fairly predictable. Floundering around trying to refind his direction, and finding it in Eva once more.
An arched eyebrow and sneer showed exactly what she thought about that.
Munin: You can claim you want the title for whatever feeble anarchist plot you can smash together, but we all know the truth. You screwed up royally. Things didn't go the way you thought they would, you failed, and now you are scrambling back to Eva, because she could give you the salvation you need....just like she did in the past. It wouldn't have worked, but boy did you get your little tighty whities in a bunch when you lost to Kellar. That was such a special spectacle that you made of yourself...until you had a man...on a damn horse stop you. That is what your career has come to...Now that ladies and gentlemen is what I call divine justice.
She reaches for her cup as she says this. The condensation making the glass moist against her palm.
Munin: Well would you look at that we've come to the end of this promo, and I've managed to address more people than T.V. Champion after he defended his Title.
Sipping her drink, she let her words stand alone for a moment before smiling.
Munin: I guess that means I'm doing my job after all.
(Fade to black)
