The scene opens in a upscale gym. It's one of those gyms that stands like as a high tech monument to the care and advancement of the human body. Full of machines dedicated to sculpting and training athletes to their peak condition.
Some of the regular gym members seemed thrown off by the blonde American in the corner making a lot of noise while he used the battle ropes. He wore sneakers, black athletic shorts, and a blue sleeveless hoodie, and seemed to be fighting his own private war against the ropes.
Munin: Tamer, isn't this an "unexpected" treat...
Tamer froze at the unmistakable sound of Munin's voice. No one from GZW was supposed to be training here.
She leaned against the wall on the other side of the ropes, wearing her typical black workout attire. Her black hair pulled back from her face in a ponytail, and a darkly amused smile on her lightly glossed lips.
Tamer looked around as if looking for an escape route, but there was none. So like a man facing the firing squad he returned her greeting.
Tamer: Munin.... Hi.
She knew that he was uncomfortable and that he was looking for an escape. She also knew that where she was standing made escape impossible.
Munin: Hello Tamer, what brings you to Japan...
Like many men before him Munin's presence alone seemed to send Tamer into a state of unease. He shifted his weight back and forth wondering as he did so. It was amazing how much havoc someone so small could cause.
Tamer: Ya know... Um. This time of year the cherry blossoms. Just gorgeous.
His eyes widened as his own words registered, and he internally winced at how stupid he sounded. All he could do was hope his words would pass his notice.
Munin raised an eyebrow with a knowing look in her eyes. His response did not pass her notice, and it amused her to know end.
Munin: Cherry Blossoms?
The rough velvet of her voice gave nothing that she was thinking away. Which did very little to set Tamer at ease. Her dark exotic eyes gleaming with amusement did even less.
Tamer was all too aware that what Munin found amusing could mean something very unamusing for someone else.
Tamer: Heh. Pink floweres- How have you been?
Grabbing a nearby towel he kept her in his sights.
Munin: I've been well, I think the real question is how are you? That was quite the match you had...
Tamer unconsciously touched his knee. The mention of the injury bringing back an emotional and physical pain that had yet to fade from his mind.
Tamer: Yeah... That was something. But Kolic got what he wanted in the end I guess.
A scoff was his immediate answer to his statement.
Munin: I highly doubt that, as he doesn't seem very happy to me. In fact I highly doubt Kolic even knows what he wants.
An almost devilish smile snuck across Tamer's face
Tamer: Well he better figure it out or he might get a kick in the head...
Muninstudied him for a moment with air of satisfaction.
Munin: If I recall properly he already has received that. I have to say its nice to see you taking your forced resignation so well...
Tamer raised an eyebrow at her.
Tamer: It's been good. So are you on a... Tour or something. I have to admit I've really stepped back having been paying all that much attention.
He threw the small towel back to the nearby bench, and immediately regretted not having something in his hands.
Munin: Or something. So what have you been up to? I see you are keeping up with your training.
Tamer searched for a response, well aware that another answer like cherry blossoms would not slip by her notice.
Tamer: My girlfriend would complain if-
He cuts himself off mid-sentence as a thought crossed his mind.
Tamer: Did you come here looking for me?
Munin smiled at him with feigned innocence.
Munin: Now why would I be looking for you in a gym in Japan. Should I have had some reason to think you were here?
Tamer eyed her suspiciously, there was no way for him to press the issue without giving anything away.
Tamer: No reason... No reason at all. Things good with you? I know near the end I got wrapped up with the personal side and left the business side... The Clan with you.
Munin blinked at him slowly for a moment. The mention of the Clan wiping away any trace of innocence feigned or otherwise.
Munin: The Clan was taken care of, just as promised they would be.
Tamer looked down at the scuffed gym floor while nodding his head.
Tamer: You did good. Not sure I did. But ya know, full speed ahead and all that. Giddy up Cowbo-
Tamer jerked his gaze back up to hers, and interrupted himself with a cough.
Tamer: Positive vibes.
Munin chuckled but does not comment on his slip up.
Munin: Well if you just happen to be around for a while longer we should train together.
Tamer: I could use a spotter, there isn't much sense in me sparing anymore.
Munin acknowledged his words with a nod of her head, but did not comment on his statement.
Munin: It sounds like a plan then...enjoy the rest of your training.
She pushed off the wall with those works, as if to leave. Her long black hair swinging slightly behind her with each graceful stride.
Before she was even a few yards away, she turned back to face him once more with a mischievous smile.
Munin: Oh and Tamer...Sakura season is from March to May at the latest.
She winked at him before turning around, and disappearing from his sight.
Tamer laughs a little and shakes his head
Tamer: Touché
Tamer pulled out his iPod to crank some music so he could get back to his workout. "Wanted: Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi can be heard as he puts the headphones in his ears and we fade to BLACK
