The streets of Akihabara Tokyo were flooded with people in various costumes. Their faces aglow with the various rainbow lights of the city. Lights that were as colorful as the characters that made this section of Tokyo famous. Animated figures danced on screens mounted on various buildings, along with popular advertisements.
Munin walked through the streets with her typical confident gait. Her attire was more subdued than others that walked the street, but she was obviously stealing the show anyways. Her short bright jade silk dress was edged with emerald green, the same emerald green as her ankle high leather boots. A gold necklace hung low on her neck past the scooped neckline of her dress, and her hair joined it in a long thick braid of darkness.
She flicked the braid back over her shoulder, her gold painted fingernails reflecting some of the ambient light as she does so. The colors of her attire look perfect against the perfect pale gold of her skin. Her typical red lip stick is replaced by a dark rose gloss, and her exotic dark eyes are lined with dark green eyeliner.
She made a striking figure, one that is not only noticed but quickly recognized.
People moved closer to the former World Champion as she walked by. Excited by the sight of the camera crew, and eager to hear what one of their favorite Global Stars had to say.
Munin: Hello Globalverse, I hope you don't mind, but tonight we will be doing things a bit differently. You see...I decided that my native land has too many treasures for me talk to you from indoors tonight, and so you find me here on the bright streets of Akihabara.
The crowd around her cheered at the mention of their current location.
Munin: I think it goes without saying that I love my native country, and not to boast or sound vain, but I believe it is safe to say that I have a number of fans in this country.
She repeated her statement in Japanese to the rather large crowd that had gathered around her. Their affirmation of her statement was loud and boisterous, and needed no translation.
Munin: And yet...
She paused long enough to politely ask the excited crowd to quiet down.
Munin: And yet was I given a match at Titan? Have I been given an official match at Storm? No! Instead of giving me an official match they are holding a battle royal.
Her tone had a poisonously sweet undertone that matched the smile on her full glossy lips. She then quickly translated her words once more for the crowd, before continuing.
Munin: I'm sorry GZW are you confused over who has EARNED a title match in this company? Have I not proven that I deserve a title match, or even just a non-title match?
She slowly began to walk once more, which allowed the crowd and cameramen to follow with ease. One of the her fans decided to be helpful, and started to act as translator for the crowd.
Munin: I have EARNED a lot more than this company is GIVING. I have EARNED my just due both in the ring and out of it. Whether it's being in front of a camera, making appearances, or showing up for photo shoots.
Her voice grew more heated and her eyes passionate with each deliberate word she spoke.
Munin: More than anyone else in this company as of late. I know what some might be saying. I was given a title shoot in the last match that I was carded for. That was only under duress of the company being desperate for a main event to fill the card. I highly doubt they would have put me near the World Title otherwise, and makes my latest critic's ideals concerning me all the more amusing. Mongrel has gotten it into his cranium that I am somehow the golden child of the company.
A rough sensual chuckles escaped her throat, while she shook her head.
Munin: Have you seen me on card lately Mongrel? No! Do you know how I lost the World Title when I had it? Our illustrious but silent President forced Jericho's hand more or less. Pushed him to cash in on his chance at The World Title after I had already successfully defended it that night. Did you ever wonder why?
The crowd seemed to wonder as she came to a stop and did a 360 while asking the same question herself in Japanese. The crowd hung on her every word, as this is a topic that Munin had never spoken of before.
Munin: I wasn't cooperating nearly as much as they wanted me to. It seems that they discovered that despite my size I make a very poor puppet, contrary to what Mongrel may say. So they actively set about to have me dethroned as it were, just like they have done to others before and since me. At least those that don't cooperate, those that march along to the song like Spark are more than welcome to keep the World Title. Why do you think he was given his Title shot almost as soon as he returned? It isn't because of his on screen presence, because he has been one word short of radio silence since he returned.
She pretended to study her golden nails for a moment.
Munin: It's honestly enough to make me wonder...how many more men I need to skewer to the mat to get what I want? How many so called giants do I need to tople to show the men behind the desk that I am one of the best wrestlers in the world? Not just female wrestlers but wrestlers period.
The crowd around her seemed to liven at these questions, and even chanted her name for a moment before quieting back down. Munin smiled at them in thanks before continuing.
Munin: I won't be getting any of those answers tonight. So what bottom line does that leave us with?
Clasping her hands behind her back she let out a long suffering sigh, as she looked into the camera once more.
Munin: I never thought I would say this but...The...Desperado is right.
The look on her face said enough about how much she hated saying those words. Not that she had anything against the man, but really who would want to say someone named The Desperado was right?
Munin: The days of earned not given seem to be over in this company, so how about we try out taken for a change? If I am some how kept out of the upcoming Battle Royal, I am going to rain all over this companies parade. You can take that as you like, but it is a promise.
The look in her eyes as she said this was nothing short of cold blooded. It was the calculating eyes of a predator, and for a moment the smile that blossomed on her lips was a perfect match.
As she turned away from the camera she turns into her seemingly cheerful self once more.
Munin: Now who wants an autograph?
She happily signed autographs and answered questions as the scene faded to black.
