Shiny black stiletto heels struck against a broken cobblestone walkway. The sound resounded through the misty darkness like of the forest like gunshots in the night.
The camera panned out slowly to show the wearer of said shoes inch by tantalizing inch, as well as her less than hospitable surroundings.
An asian beauty in black among the remains of the forgotten seemed very out of place indeed. A graveyard far off the beaten path, it's once proud headstones crumbling in the humid Louisiana air. It was Almost hidden by the live oaks that proudly stood tall against the winds.
Nothing but the occasional cold breeze disturbed the leaves and the moss that weeped from its branches.
Lady Munin: First the T.V. Title, next the World Championship. Mmm, the victory is so close that I can almost taste it. Can there truly be any debate that I will soon be taking back the crown of GZW?
She licked her full red lips as if in anticipation. Her one hand was busy caressing the gold belt that hung over her shoulder.
Lady Munin: Who in this desolate wasteland has even a hope of stopping me? Champa?
At the thought of the man her dark eyes sparked with amusement, and a deep mirthless chuckle escaped her to fill the heavy night air with its sultry sound.
Lady Munin: Champa apparently can't even figure out who has been on the roster for the last few months and who hasn't. Excuse me for not shuddering in fear from someone so disconnected from reality.
Lady Munin: I'm sure “War Path” will attempt to interfere whenever possible, but how long do you really see them prolonging the inevitable? At the end of the day Mongrel’s little group is nothing more than another machine, and every machine can be deactivated.
Pausing in her stride she looked directly into the camera with her head half cocked. Mist swirled around her after her sudden halt, but she paid it no mind. Even as it creeped up her black stocking clad legs.
Lady Munin: It's only a matter of time, and I have all the patience in the world my lovelies.
A slow smirk spread on her lush lips, and a black matte nail flicked a long strand of black hair behind her carelessly.
Lady Munin: It's easy to have patience when your victory is imminent.
She showed nothing but complete confidence in every word she spoke, and there was no doubt that she would have the same belief in any words that followed.
Lady Munin: So who does that leave in my way now that Sean is out of the running.
Her sharp lilting laughter danced through the air.
Lady Munin: Look around my lovelies it's not like I have Leon, Eva, Jon, or Alex...trying to get in my way.
She paused in her stride after saying this, and all humor melted from her face.
Lady Munin: Then again if they were things would be different. If they were here we would be having a very different talk.
Her smile slowly returned to her face. A tug at the corner her mouth teased the world with some unsaid joke, and she began to walk once more.
Lady Munin: At this point the only person who is truly standing in my way is Kolic.
While her smile was still in place and as sweet as before, her eyes took on look of pure predatory calculation.
It was as if her eyes could look through the camera's lens and straight into Kolic’s eyes. Her usual air of playful mischievous disappearing much like the wisps of mist that surrounds her.
Lady Munin: Tell me Kolic how far will you go for the crown. I've seen how far you will go for your righteous cause.
She began to walk once more after allowing her words to hang heavy in the silence.
Lady Munin: We've all seen how far you've gone in the past. Neither of us exactly came out of it smelling like roses, but I believe I came out victorious.
Lady Munin: I won that battle. Do you think I could win the war?
The pathway she walked began to wind its way through a number of elaborate headstones. They appeared to be more numerous in this section of the grave yard.
Lady Munin: You can not deny that I did exactly what I promised I would do in the past. Though you may find me morally ambiguous, there is no denying that I am a woman of my word…
The night appeared to be closing in around Munin. The continued eerie silence amongst the graves, was beginning to unnerve the camera team, but like true professionals they carried on in step with their Lady.
Lady Munin: When I say I am going to do something I do it.
Lady Munin: I'm not saying that it will be easy. You are without a doubt the most formidable opponent I could face at the moment, and not just because you don't underestimate me. I think in some ways we are very much alike. Don't get me wrong we are different, different in sooo many ways, but in others we are oh so very much alike.
She finally reached her destination, a grand old mausoleum that had obviously seen better days.
Lady Munin: We are both driven strategist, skilled fighters, and...well we both have a little bit of a monster in us.
With a whimsical smile she traced her fingertips over the elaborate artwork of the thick wooden doors. Her hands slowly wrapped around the ornate brass latch...
Lady Munin: Maybe one of us has those traits a little more than the other. I guess we'll find out in that ring…
In her hand the latch was twisted deftly, and the doors were shoved open without further delay.
Lady Munin: In the meantime understand my lovelies…
She strode into the stone room without a moment of hesitation. In the center of the room rested what could only be described as a black marble throne.
Lady Munin: No matter what happens in that ring the World Title will be mine. I’m taking back the crown of this company, and this time we will play by my rules.
While she spoke she made her way directly to the dark throne. Her touch was loving caress down it's side.
Lady Munin: I will restore validity to the GZW name if I have to climb a Mountain of broken bodies to do it.
An ambient dim red glow began to fill the room, and the mist from outside began to creep its way through the open door.
Lady Munin: In fact just to save time let's just say the crown is already mine...After all we already know what happened the last time I said a Title was mine.
With those words she sat herself upon the throne, and stretched one hand out towards the camera.
Lady Munin: I reached out and took it.
She chuckled slightly, as she brought her outstretched hand back to the T.V. Title that rested on her shoulder.
Lady Munin: Oh and Kolic, heroes may be remembered but legends never die. Perhaps that it's something this whole company would do well to remember…
The camera panned out on Munin sitting quite comfortably on her throne. The red light casting eerie shadows across the room, and the mist crawling around her.
Lady Munim: Long live the Queen.
