John Champa versus Lady Munin, part 2, same match but this time the outcome will be different.
The scene opens up to John Champa, the former Gzw2k1 World Heavyweight Champion, sitting on a park bench drinking on a cup of coffee. The former Champ, sporting a John Champa hoodie, sits in the cold air of Pearl River, Mississippi, reliving the past meeting between the two former Champions.
“It happened One Night” that was the name of the event, that very evening of October 31st, 2012, Halloween night. That was the day that Lady Munin and I, two long shots in a tournament of Champions, overcame all the odds to dance in the finals of the Lord of the Coliseum tournament. We danced the Tennessee two step, we danced ballroom style, we line danced, we salsa danced, we danced and danced and danced until only one of us remained.
That night, Día de Muertos or day of the dead, Lady Munin somehow, someway, defeated the Big Shot to become Lay of the Coliseum. That night, Munin, we showed the world, well you more so than I because the World already knew I belonged, that you belonged at the top. The only thing was you fizzled out really quick. Just a few months after proving all doubters wrong, you once again proved them right by not being able to hold on to the title that you fought and clawed to retrieve.
You are just like Kolic and the rest of the boys in the back, you are better off being the chaser of the title as opposed to being the carrier. I’m the face of this franchise, I’m the only option that this place has to once again restore honor and prestige, to what many have deemed a dying company. While you’re the Cinderella story, a fairy tale, and the fans will rally behind you, not because they love you but because they hate me. The fans love to hate me but they can’t resist the urge to watch me perform. They live vicariously through me because their lives, just like your career, is meaningless because there is no validation. Your signature win against me was the victory that put you on the map. I have a tendency to create new stars. This company needs me to build up new talent, because the talent isn’t good enough to get it done themselves.
You, Munin, are part of the reason they begged me to return. The begged me to come back and make stars out of the shitty globalstars that are eating up chunks of capital. Lady Munin versus John Champa….same match but this time you won’t be walking out victorious.
You can show up if you want, but there will be no need because either way John Champa…..the ONLY OPTION will walk out the new Gzw2k1 World Heavyweight Champion and will prove once again just why I am Mr. Greatness in the Flesh.
The scene fades out
