Business Insider is reporting today that new Ground Zero Enterprises CEO Cameron Logan has officially announced that GZE is dropping all of its wrestling content from its Ground Zero Global Network.
GroundZero Wrestling 2K1's poor ratings, massive losses last year and the fact that GZE is looking to attract more "upscale" viewers who are into movies and re-run programming are all part of the reason Logan dropped the boom on the Ground Zero Global umbrella that also includes United Japan Wrestling, Hong Kong Wrestling Federation, and Canadian Stampede Wrestling.
Logan's decision puts GZW2K1's deal with buyer Iconic Strategic Investment in serious jeopardy as the agreement between the two hinged on Crimson, Storm, and Titan to still be broadcast on the Ground Zero Global Network.
Former GZG color commentator and the man who helped spearhead the I.S.I. deal -- Joshua Samson -- is rumored to be meeting with executives at Fox Broadcasting to see if they would be willing to provide a home for GZW2K1 programming.
