The name's Bond, Billy Bond, and here is the latest edition of my exclusive Hotwire column: "Oh Please!".
You'd have thought by now, I'd have run out of things that make me say: "Oh Please!", wouldn't you? But there's always something really crap, stupid or pathetic out there.
This week, the thing that makes me say "Oh Please!" is sentimental crapola. You know what I mean: the kind of cheesy 'isn't everything wonderful', chirpy, gerbil faced optimism that makes you want to puke. Now I'm not dissing Thoughts of the day, as long as they aren't oversentimental crapola, but what I can't stand is preachy, happy clappy tambourine, sugar coated crapola. Of all things, maybe this is what makes me say "Oh Please!" the most. Read the quotes and you'll see what I mean.
So without further ado, I give you this week's edition of... "Oh Please!".
