As other unofficial sources have cited in recent days the apparent walk off newcomer Josh Reed during his at Fallout: A Warrior's Legacy rematch against fellow newcomer Kevin Storm was indeed planned but it has come to our attention that Reed and Storm have legit heat against each other due to Reed making offhand comments concerning Storm's subpar abilities and performances at current house shows. The Booking Committee has decided to continue to book them against each other, in tag teams and one-on-one encounters, on the house show circuit while on television will set them on separate feuds.
It is being reported that the Grudge Match between Maxx Pain and Adam Cage was set to be a bloodbath but with GZW2K1 and it's parent company,GroundZero Enterprises, coming under heavy FCC punishment in the last month (see Leon Taylor and The Insomniac feud) executives aborted the idea. Also Canadian Stampede Wrestling Chief Executive Andrew Excelsior and former GZW2K1 LightHeavyweight and Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Justin Sharp were brought in to further push exposure for CSW as Cage had seemingly failed in the advertising campaign.
As read in past Backstage Rumblings the punishment for both Brandon Locke aka The Insomniac and Leon Taylor became effective at the end of the Fallout: A Warrior's Legacy broadcast. The Insomniac was given the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship as well begun his deduction in pay while Taylor's television time has been substantially reduced in the coming months.
Popular belief is that Ring of Honor Icon Billy Bond did in fact "lay down" against Zachary Sharp in their Respect Match the took place at Fallout: A Warrior's Legacy. Theory is that Icon Bond was adamant about not allowing Sharp to take a clean win and refused to put him over basically minutes up to the start of the match. Icon Bond pushed the fact he returned to GZW2K1 in order "right the wrong" of four years ago(referring to his upset loss to Zachary Sharp) and would invoke the same release clause that Jon H. Kellar had in his contract. So it is to be believed that Commissioner Devotion Profit officiated the match to insure that everything went accordingly.
Although no were surprised at Jon H. Kellar's attendance in the main event of Fallout: A Warrior's Legacy, many were surprised that he returned not as a GZW2K1 employee but an exclusive NEO one. Rumors are circulating that a closed door meeting amongst the Executive Committee was conveyed and major events will be announced in the coming days concerning the status of the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship.
