Rumors have finally been confirmed as to the status of Devotion Profit in her capacity as the commissioner for GroundZero Wrestling 2K1. The thirty year old youngest daughter of Hong Kong Wrestling Federation President John Profit has been placed on administrative suspension for a period of ninety days. The suspension which has been rumored since Fallout: Root of All Evil pay-per-view has indeed been in place since that time. Teresa Profit, the Commissioner's birth name, has been out of contact with anyone since the day of her suspension. The terms of her suspension have not been released as of this time.
In related news, Ring of Honor Icon Nathaniel Davis has been appointed Interim Commissioner while Commissioner Profit serves out her suspension. The veteran wrestler has been rehabiliating a torn ACL injury in his right leg suffered at this year's Anniversary Armageddon during a match against Leon Taylor. It was a stipulation during this match that Icon Davis was forced to retire from active wrestling. The former "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville Television, Intercontinental Heavyweight, and World Heavyweight Champion was formally notified of his appointment at the past Crimson broadcast in which he appeared as the official during the commitment ceremony of Leon Taylor and Vernon Vanderbilt. Icon Davis has yet to release an official statement.
The Ring of Honor, lead by Icon Sincere Hiroshuma, have reportedly given a substantially large cash donation on behalf of GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 to the Helen Machiavelli Foundation. Icon Sincere stated, "...Jason [Machiavelli] and his family are one of ours. He has earned his place to stand beside those that have given their all for this company and this entire sport." The current World Tag Team Champion went on to say,"...It is a tragic loss that only Jason and his family can endure but we hope that on behalf of the Ring of Honor this donation will see it's way through the proper channels ensuring that another life will not be horribly lost in it's prime."
As noted in earlier reports Helen Machiavelli, wife of Ring of Honor Icon Jason "Fubu" Machiavelli, was killed in an automobile accident two months ago stemming from a teenage drunk driver. Mrs. Machiavelli is survived by her husband, Jason, and son, Elijah.
With the start of this year's Summer Heat Tour and a return once again to Hong Kong, China, the working terrority of Hong Kong Wrestling Federation, GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 has reassessed and doubled its insurance coverage of its entire roster. With whispers of "violent attacks" by members of HKWF as well as all matches leading up to Heatwave IV having an extreme stipulation, the Command Suite is taking little to no risks as far as insuring the roster has adequate medical coverage.
