Contract talks between GZW2K1 and 2004 Lord of the Coliseum “Lone Gunman” John Taylor are said to be ongoing. The company have offered a one-year, multi-million dollar deal but Taylor has yet to accept. Reports indicate that Taylor is pushing hard for a World Heavyweight title shot and will not sign anything unless he is given one. The company are reportedly hesitant to oblige as they want to give new Champion Vernon Vanderbilt a solid run with the belt in order to build him up as GZW2K1’s franchise player. Taylor’s reputation as among the most selfish to have ever worked with the company would put the possibility of a long title run for Vanderbilt in jeopardy.
Ex-GZW2K1 Director of New Media Clancy McClean was spotted in Hong Kong during the week dining at a very exclusive restaurant with none other than HKWF President John Profit. McClean was fired late last year and has said in the past that he will not work under GZW2K1 boss Seth Richards. The nature of his meeting with Profit is unclear but could have something to do with HKWF’s ongoing war with GZW.
