Among these are "Jake Matthews", "Tyrone Hause", and "Caleb Hart", symbolizing enemies he has conquered, as well as "2/20/70", his birthdate, on his left knee pad. On his right kneepad is airbrushed word "OWN3D", the very knee he uses the Shining Wizard with. Various images/symbols include a grim reaper skull on the back of his thigh, as well as a faded out phoenix on his right leg, with the letters "D.O.A." engraved into it.
Casual Attire: Always wearing a three piece suit, black with a white silk shirt and a crimson tie. He also has black, highly polished shoes.
Entrance: The lights black out and for awhile there is nothing. After a moment passes, the opening moments of "Trans-Magic" can be heard as the fans suddenly erupt in a chorus of boos. The lights come back on to various hues of blue following the entrance stage and ramp way as the curtain lifts and out steps John Raide, dressed in his ring attire and a white trench coat. The soft glow of the blue lights tramples the image of John Raide as he surveys the crowd for a moment before walking down the ramp slowly, keeping his attention focused on the ring. He comes down to the edge of the ramp, once again looks over the crowd before running toward the apron and jumping up onto it in one leap. He stands on the apron for a moment before stepping between the ropes, where he walks quickly to his designated corner and leans into the turnbuckle, awaiting his opponent.
Bio: John Raide came onto the pro-wrestling scene the summer of 2004 with a vengeance. For three months prior he had been struggling to find his identity and to remember what happened prior to waking up in a hospital bed after seven years. Over a few weeks, the pieces slowly came together as he remembered the night when a former CMW wrestler--Caleb Hart--had sent him into a seven year coma. John Raide joined the promotion, but in doing so forfeited all rights to sue the promotion and Caleb Hart for the accident.
[John Raide was quickly proving to be a man not to be reckoned with. He went on a three week undefeated streak before disappearing for a few months. Many were led to believe that he was on the injured list, but to this day John Raide has been tight lipped about the situation. A few weeks later he returned on an episode of Juiced and staked his claim against then World Champion, Harmony Hart. Raide made it very clear that as Champion, he could have any match he wanted, and of course, he wanted the man that stole Time from him.
The following week, Harmony and John Raide fought it out in a one-sided contest for Raide. Raide quickly downed his opponent for the one, two, three, making him the #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. A seven-foot gothic intervened however, by chokeslaming the ever living hell out of both Harmony Hart and John Raide. It was then decided that Priest and Raide would go at it the following week, just before Old School 2, for the real #1 Contendership. Raide took a hellacious beating from the big man, but with a great sense of wit and agility, managed to defeat Priest after two consecutive Abysses.
At Old School 2, a brutal three-way was conceived that saw more blood and big bumps than any previous night in Crimson Mask history. John Raide eventually got a leg hold on Priest, effectively snapping his leg and forcing Priest to say the words "I QUIT!" to end the match. Raide had done what he had set out to do... to win the Heavyweight Title.
There would be no rest for John Raide however, as he continued his crusade for Caleb Hart, and even forming the most dominating faction in CMW existence--the OTB--to goad Caleb Hart out of retirement and to defend the faithful of Crimson Mask Wrestling. This plan would take time as he knew, and in the mean time he had set his sights on a new player in CMW, the Miracle Boy himself, Jake Matthews.
Jake Matthews had been causing quite a stir in the midcard scene ever since he arrived. Jake had cemented his status as the Miracle Boy as he won a Battle Royal entitling him the Number One Contender for Vendetta, the next pay-per-view. John Raide quickly made his way down to the ring to greet the new contender to his throne, and quickly introduced him to The Abyss. Raide then swore that he would successfully defend the title at Vendetta in a First Blood Match.
Vendetta rolled on through the night, and it was finally time for the main event. John Raide and Jake Matthews beat each other to hell and back, but could not seem to bust each other open. Raide was soon knocked out cold with a chair shot in which many thought he had been busted open. Raide's then bodyguard, Tyrone Hause, quickly jumped in with his own chair and plastered it all over Matthews' face, effectively drawing blood and the match was declared a win for John Raide. Tyrone and the OTB helped Raide to his feet where he was seen to not have been bleeding at all.
The next week on Juiced however, John Raide would mysteriously disappear once again, this time only for a few days. Upon his grieving for the loss of the Heavyweight Title, Raide took time for himself that week with coming to terms that he had been ejected from the monster he created, the OTB. Wallowing his own self pity, Raide watched as everything he owned was taken from him, even with Tyrone Hause, unable to pay him, Tyrone left as well.
Later that night, Raide was taking a walk to the corner store when he was pulled aside by a group of thugs led by his former bodyguard, Tyrone Hause. It was there he was savagely beaten and left for dead with a slit throat.
Raide had disappeared once again, but he would soon resurface a meaner, colder, and balder John Raide than before. Raide quickly made it known in the seedy underworld of New York City, that he was the new player in town. He knocked off many of Tyrone's men, making quick work of them and leaving cryptic messages for the thug to find himself. A few months later, John Raide came face to face with the man who betrayed him, his bodyguard. The two battled fiercely, but it would be John Raide who was victorious by pushing the six-foot-ten, three hundred pound monster off of a three story building and to the concrete below. Revenge had been extracted, he could now rest.
With his personal life in somewhat order, Raide returned to the ring, gaining a rematch for the CMW Heavyweight title, which was held by then champion Jake Matthews. The two battled long and hard for the title, but it would turn out to be the survivor himself, John Raide, who made Jake Matthews tap out to the figure four leg lock. By this time, Fatal Games was just around the corner and Team CMW was left one man short of a full team to take on the OTB in the dreaded War Games match. Jake Matthews approached Raide to help fight against them, John Raide, the new World Champ, reluctantly agreed. The truth was, if anyone was going to kill the monster he created, it would be him.
With Fatal Games in the history books and Team CMW victorious, it would not come without a great cost. CMW had been forced to close its doors when the owner of the promotion, Caleb Hart, had decided to withdraw all funding from the promotion, as it turns out, Caleb Hart had tried to take something from Raide again, and this time, he succeeded.
John Raide has since been all across the country, working for a few promotions before they shut down and won a few World Titles.
The latest chapter in John Raide's life has come to pass, as the UCWF is now dead and buried. Through-out it's run, John Raide quickly became the first UCWF Heavyweight Champion and held the title for a record time that has not been beaten by anyone in the company's history since. His run as champion included taking on all challengers, before he finally met the end of his path in Streets Disciple, who won the title on November 27th of 2005. Not even a month and a half later, the UCWF would close it's doors.
Strengths: smart, agile, fast, lot's of stamina.
Weaknesses: Ignores rational thought when angered, doesn't take a lot of chances.
Behavior: Quiet and calm, often found by himself smoking a cigarette. He rarely ever shows emotion and does not react well to the presence of others.
