Also here is another funny story... WWE Magazine conducted an interview with Triple H for the the October 2006 issue. He was asked about wrestling internet sites such as this one, Hulk Hogan, losing to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 12, old & new D-X, the "curtain call" incident, and much more. Here are a few quotes from the interview: Q: Once and for all, say something to the wrestling websites that claim you're nothing but a power-mad, backstage dictator. Triple H - I haven't read a dirt sheet in 10 years. And that's the damn truth. Yes I'm in a top position. Yes I'm married to the boss's daughter. Yes I sit in production meetings. But, at the end of the day, there is only one person with the stroke in this business. And that's Vince McMahon. If he doesn't like something , whether it's my idea or not, it's not going to happen. I want guys like John Cena around. I want to bring new guys up and help make them. People always accuse me of not wanting to drop the belt to a guy. That's complete crap. I didn't drop the belt to RVD because no one asked me to drop it to RVD. I've yet to see Hulk Hogan lose to anybody. He wrestles once every 6 months, and it doesn't matter if you're the biggest name in active competition today, he's not going to lose to you. There was suppose to be a Hogan/Michaels 2, and Hogan was supposed to lose. All of a sudden his knee starting "bugging" him. Q: Since you were poised for a big break, does your embarrassing loss to the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 12 in 1996 still haunt you to this day? Triple H - Do people really thing I thought I was going to beat the Ultimate Warrior? The fact of the matter is that he was a completely unprofessional dipsh*t. (Shawn Michaels Interjects: Don't talk about me like that!) That's what pisses me off about the match, not the fact that I lost. Triple H comments on the internet one more time: "One more thing for the internet haters.... It all stems from people who have opinions about the business they've never been involved in. And they're the same people waiting outside for my autograph after the show." Triple H is the man. Nuff said!

Ok that's RVD... what about killing Jericho's heat on numerous occasions? What about bringing Kane's monster push to an abrupt halt? What about Goldberg's 2 minute title reign? What about winning the title in a triple threat match despite contributing nothing to it's buildup? What about holding onto the title for over a year (on and off) despite only being fit to wrestle for about 2 months of it?
That being said he's nowhere near the level of dickness that Woyah~!! and Hogan are on.

All of the action from Smackdown tapings!

Smackdown:
-Matt Hardy defeated WWE Cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms in what was presumably a non-title match.
-In a backstage segment, Teddy Long made a match between Finlay and Ken Kennedy for later tonight.
-The Miz pinned Tatanka with his feet on the ropes.
-Ken Kennedy captured the WWE United States championship, defeating Finlay and Bobby Lashley. Teddy Long announced that Bobby Lashley was added to the match, making it a Triple Threat match. Kennedy pinned Lashley, hooking the tights.
-A contract signing between WWE World champion King Booker and Batista is slated for later on.
-MVP is now sitting ringside with two women.
-Vito defeated William Regal by count-out when he put the dress over Regal and his Lordship fled the ring.
-They do a backstage vignette with Jimmy Wang Yang talking about being a redneck.
-Michael Cole interviews MVP, who claims he can beat anyone from Smackdown, once he's given the right contract offer from Teddy Long. He says the crowd doesn't deserve to see him and leaves with his girls in tow.
-WWE tag Team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick defeat The Pitbulls. KC James and Idol Stevens attack the champions. Pitbulls join in and both teams leave London and Kendrick down.
-WWE World champion King Booker and Batista have a contract signing and each discuss their match at No Mercy. Batista hits a spinebuster through a table to end the show.

what about killing Jericho's heat on numerous occasions? If I remember correctly Triple H gave Jericho one of the best face pushes of his career when Jericho was still a midcarder and beat Triple H for the title during the opening match of RAW. Sure the decision was reveresed, but it pushed Jericho to the main event status and gave Trips a boost in heel heat. Everybody won. Especially Jericho. What about bringing Kane's monster push to an abrupt halt? How times has this happened to Kane? He always gets a monster push stopped. Is this Triple H's fault everytime? no. It's booking decisions. Triple H might have had some input in it, but there are about 10 other times this has happened to Kane. I think it is part of his gimmick now. What about Goldberg's 2 minute title reign? Who cares. You are defending a sack of shit who has no love for the business. Goldberg is as bad or as worse as Hogan when it comes to booking of matches and how his character is handled. Triple H has put over more people in his Wrestlemania matches alone than Goldberg ever will. What about winning the title in a triple threat match despite contributing nothing to it's buildup? What about holding onto the title for over a year (on and off) despite only being fit to wrestle for about 2 months of it? Don't know what you are talking about here unless you are more specific. The first triple threat match that comes to mind involving Triple H and the title is when he tapped out to Beniot...thus putting Beniot over big time.

Agreed... I used to be big anti-HHH... but have pulled the ultimate no-no to marks and have actually grown to respect him. How long since he held the belt? It's been ages. He put over Benoit... Batista... and Cena at Wrestlemaina. With only one maybe deserving of that, that being Benoit. This new face HHH is fresh again, and I can't wait for him to take back the belt. Lord knows I love Edge... but fucking Cena has really ruined Raw, hell ruined the damn belt itself... I wanted Edge to bring back the old belt, or at least ditch the spinner... but until an oldschool wrestler wins, we're stuck with it...
Cena winning at Unforgiven is gonna make me sick to my stomach.

Root: If I remember correctly Triple H gave Jericho one of the best face pushes of his career when Jericho was still a midcarder and beat Triple H for the title during the opening match of RAW. Sure the decision was reveresed, but it pushed Jericho to the main event status and gave Trips a boost in heel heat. Everybody won. Especially Jericho. JK: And when Jericho was undisputed champ Triple H and his then-girlfriend Stephanie McMahon booked him to look like a joke for months. During their 3 month feud Jericho got one bit of glory and that was only because Triple H didn't want to job clean to Hogan. Root: How times has this happened to Kane? He always gets a monster push stopped. Is this Triple H's fault everytime? no. It's booking decisions. Triple H might have had some input in it, but there are about 10 other times this has happened to Kane. I think it is part of his gimmick now. Me: The difference is at this point Kane was the most over thing on Raw and had gotten people interested in the product again. He was a character people wanted to see and it was the first (and possibly only) smart bit of booking that entire year. Triple H pinned him in the triple threat match I will come onto in a minute, and that was it. Root: Who cares. You are defending a sack of shit who has no love for the business. Goldberg is as bad or as worse as Hogan when it comes to booking of matches and how his character is handled. Triple H has put over more people in his Wrestlemania matches alone than Goldberg ever will. JK: I don't like Goldberg at all, but what is the point on giving him a 2 month reign only to drop it back to the guy who he originally beat? That combined with the fracas of the elimination chamber which Triple H won despite the fact he couldn't even walk made the whole affair a joke. ____________________ What about winning the title in a triple threat match despite contributing nothing to it's buildup? What about holding onto the title for over a year (on and off) despite only being fit to wrestle for about 2 months of it? Root: Don't know what you are talking about here unless you are more specific. The first triple threat match that comes to mind involving Triple H and the title is when he tapped out to Beniot...thus putting Beniot over big time. JK: The triple threat match I refer to happened at Armageddon 2003. Kane had lost his mask and was at the height of overness, people were genuinely buying the monster character. He had gotten people interested in the feud and people wanted to see him in the main event. Goldberg was champion, having been built as the only man who could beat HHH clean. People wanted to see if Kane was as great as he seemed and wanted to see the two of them go head to head. So it was billed as Kane vs Goldberg, and those two worked hard to build a monster vs monster feud that had people chatting. Then suddenly, out of the blue, it becomes Kane vs Goldberg vs Triple H after Trips appears on tv for about 2 minutes to get involved. The match goes down at Armageddon, and during the buildup for it (we're talking what could potentially have been a month of appearances) how many times has Triple H shown up to build the feud... twice. Why? Because he was off filming Blade: Trinity and apparently rehabbing. Yet he comes back having contributed nothing to the buildup and wins the match by pinning Kane and making Kane's character buildup of the past however many months look like a total joke. He's a monster... but he can't beat HHH. That's ego for you. _______________________________ As for the year in question. It's Vengeance 2002 to when he lost it to Goldberg at Unforgiven the following year (think it was then) The height of ridiculousness was the Elimination chamber at Summerslam. Triple H, the "worthy champion"'s contibution? 1. Walk into chamber hobbling all the way. 2. Get superkicked the moment it's his turn to enter. He stays down for the rest of the eliminations (wow, that was quite some kick!) 3. Hit Goldberg with sledgehammer, win match. The guy even wore muscle protection pants in that match so that his groin didn't fall out! The biggest tragedy of the Scott Steiner feud? Scott Steiner was in better wrestling shape than Triple H, who didn't even manage to get through a pose-down without injuring himself.
