Soooo... Anyone think that it's Sting returning on 2/21/11 from that video package?

No way. Sting said before that he didn't because he felt they wouldn't portray him well. H's right.

After years of rumors and speculation, the impossible was confirmed on Tuesday. Both sources inside the WWE and the New York Daily News report that Sting has signed a one year contract with WWE. WWE Examiner, which previously reported that Sting may leave TNA for WWE in early 2011, will provide further updates as this breaking story develops. The pro wrestling blogosphere exploded three weeks ago with rumors that World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Vince McMahon had contacted the former WCW and TNA superstar Sting about not only a possible WWE Hall of Fame induction, but also a match - his first and only - in WWE. Sting, whose real name is Steve Borden, had spent the last few months as a free agent after his TNA contract came to an end late last year. The multiple-time WCW and TNA Champion is the only legend of the modern era never to have worked for Vince McMahon. But McMahon and Sting are friends. Sting, in fact, has stated publicly that he and Vince have spoken many times and that WWE has extended multiple invitations to the WCW legend. Making it more likely that Sting is set for a WWE debut is the news that followed Shawn Michaels' announced induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Last week, sources inside WWE claimed that Shawn Michaels is only one of three huge names set to be honored in the class of 2011. The WWE Universe, however, will have a difficult time accepting Sting into the WWE Hall of Fame if the pro wrestling legend doesn't at least step into a WWE ring at least once. Asa result, there have been additional rumors suggesting that McMahon wants Sting to headline WrestleMania 27 in a match with his real life good friend and former WCW colleague, The Undertaker. www.examiner.com/wwe-in-national/it-s-official-wcw-and-tna-superstar-sting-signs-with-wwechecked the link...the guy also claimed that Randy Savage and Batista may have been goin' to the Rumble...that Triple H was definitely going to be in...speculates the end of Smackdown (really?!) and claims Hogan may be WWE-bound....so like everythin' take with a grain of salt... ~~ photoshopped image floatin' around the web

I'd come all over the place. Then I'd take a few moments to reload, and come again.
Stranger things have happened. Bret returning to WWE for instance.

I agree...I'd probably cum twice as much as that too Billy...if it is true hopefully Sting does the mystery thing in the rafters cuttin' promos against Taker the entire buildup to WM...get inducted into the HoF...have the match against Taker...then retirin' for good...

hmm...face vs. face, they tried it with HBK/Taker the last two mania's but the crowd always seems to cheer Taker more at Mania, but I'd love to see this match and as I stated in the other post, Sting has stated that the one person He'd like to Wrestle is the Undertaker. I hope they do face off but as of now Taker's opponent or Opponents are schedule to be either Wade Barrett, or if Taker isn't healthy enough, it will be a tag match with Taker/Kane vs. Barrett/ my guess would be Zeke... But I'm hearing conflicting reports, some are stating that WWE sources are unaware of Sting signing, but others are saying that Sources are saying that Sting has signed...I'm hoping he has.

I don't watch WWE these days, but I really hope Sting doesn't go to the 'E. If he goes against what he said just for a paycheck he doesn't actually need, then that's that. Everyone from back then who has ever been anti-WWE will have sold out or bullshat or whatever you want to go with. As far as I know, he's the last one left and the only one who has kept his word so far. Like I was saying on another site, I really hope it's a bullshit report about him signing.

well Sting only held out from goin' to the Evil Empire because of the direction the company was in durin' the Attitude Era...with his Christian beliefs he was a staunch about not ever workin' for them...now with the PG-13 in effect I can see why he would ease up on his stance against workin' for them especially if they have given him a clear direction of how he will portray his character...

I do not see good things for this move. He's wasn't made in WWE at any time and so will not last long, even him. Look at Goldberg. Made in WCW, looked like an ass, even if he wasn't great in the ring. Booker T, WCW, buried multiple times before finally catching a break. Helms, fucked sums it up.
Yes, there are exceptions like Mick Foley, but the exceptions are rare and Sting isn't a young man anymore. I have to say it looks grim.

Over the course of their careers, Sting has defeated Hogan nine times, while Hogan has never been able to beat Sting. Sting is one of only four wrestlers that have defeated Hogan without losing to him in one-on-one matches: The Rock defeated Hogan three times, while Brock Lesnar and Goldberg each defeated Hogan once.

not much to do with the speculation but I was bored and scannin' wiki and came across this little bit of info...I knew Hogan had never defeated Sting in their careers but I didn't know Sting beat him nine times...

Helms was actually made a big star in WWE...surely you can't count Three Count as making Helms a star. Booker, Goldberg had some good success in the WWE, both held the World Heavyweight Championship so it didn't ruin them, seeing as Goldberg was only there for a year, he accomplished something lol.
